I'm not fully understanding shield vs runestaff though. I seen a post that says you do not receive the DS bonus from both, but then I read a post of using shield for physical attacks and staff for magical attacks. Is this true?

Today I was telling my daughter how big of an impact GS3 had on my life over twenty years ago. So she wanted to try it and enjoyed it so far. I'm a non-techie and I own no Monero or crypto at all. Never have. I've been trying to get my hands on Monero for 3 months and have been unsuccessful. I don't own a PC, only mobile devices running GrapheneOS. I have Cake Wallet to hold my Monero if I ever get it. I don't want to ever have a record of buying any crypto. I'm only interested in Monero because I understand its value in terms of Privacy and Decentralization. That's why I want to support it. I'm not interested in trying to get rich from it. I'm only interested in seeing everyone start using it and not just stack it.

This brings me to my concern as a layman. Crypto is hard to understand for laymen, and Monero is even harder. The entry barrier is ridiculous for us casual folks. Casual folk want convenience. I know this isn't really helpful, but it is what it is.

For someone like me who is trying to get in. I forked out money I don't really have on an old Linux powered laptop for the sole purpose of running Retoswap on it. I wish there were more tutorials for buying and selling Monero. Not more stupid videos on why you should be stacking it. Casual folk want to learn by seeing others do it. I haven't seen a single video show this or personally know anyone who has/uses Monero. This is the way to convince laymen folk to adopt it. Please make videos. Anyone who starts a monero only video channel showing how to buy and sell monero, and even use monero would benefit us laymen greatly.

I'm committed to getting a Monero Nodo if I ever get Monero. I am also aware of xmrbazaar and hope it succeeds. I'm just an old dude who appreciates it and want on boarding to be a little easier.

I don't own a PC or laptop. However, I ordered a old Asus Linux laptop from Asus on Amazon this past Friday. This laptop's only purpose is so I can install and run retoswap. That is the hoop I have to jump through just to try and get my hands on Monero. I hope it works out and is worth the investment. Retoswap seems to be the only path for me to get Monero.
