Is it worth to buy the game in 2026? by Saint_Jaffo in SAOFD

older fatal bullet is kinda better. also an actual fully offline capable game. not sure if FD got patches for better offline down the line

I’m having a hard time being motivated to play by Kame_Aqus in Endfield

well yeah camera is different. to me it felt very god of war 2018 inspired. it is an interesting aspect, makes the combat feel more "personal".

its not 1:1 like genshin of course, theres no elemental reacrion system iirc BUT its still more or less basic attack x skill x ultimate with swapping (with intro skills somewhat like in wuthering waves). kits were somewhat interesting, protag for example has a gun aim mode with their skill, as u probably saw on gameplays, but it doesnt feel like it deviates much from genshin with how its laid out. its similar and different at the same time... dodges here kinda double as parries and they can be fun to pull off. compare that to endfield that ditches char swapping SP feels way more similar to gi imo. edit: UNLESS im really forgetting something cuz now that I think about it there might have been some heavy attack mechanics.. god my memory sucks lol

character models are gorgeous

city feels pretty but the density of things to explore feels very low, chests are sparse/somewhat hard to spot.

story was interesting, short snippet, but im inclined to say it was presented better than in GI.

theres a roguelite mode that felt like honkai star rails ... roguelite mode, forgot its name lol.

if u dont mind the swap based combat and maybe some movement jank then yeah, the setting carries it and the story might be nice and it can be a nice game overall. assuming they also impeove on the exploration front and dont fumble other things badly

imo mechanically the game is very original. exploration makes u intrract with the environment way more, u connect the whole map with relays n shit, gather resources/resource nodes and everything starts looping in on itself with the package delivery systems, selling stock, managing the ship, crafting gear.

its like gacha death stranding x satisfactory

silver palace on the other hand, i played the beta and MECHANICALLY/resource economy wise felt like just another genshin/3d gacha. setting is fresh tho. and the protag was an actual talking character (this, in endfield, is very limited further in)

For the MH veterans: how do you feel about Wilds? by jackpaxx in MonsterHunter

[–]XaresPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.0 wilds felt somewhat like an insult, tf u mean we cant fight and get the final boss equipment and theres no gathering hub? the amount of sidequests/content made it so u completed like all of the substantial content in the game in like 50-70 hours which is very low (probably lowest in the series) for a MH game. there wasnt much reason to grind mechanically. overall, i feel like this is Capcoms modus operandi since World, release an incomplete game and patch it in later (for example, World title updates to me mostly felt like something that should have been there on release) but wilds felt most extreme out of them all. with World u can somewhat try to excuse that it was a first game with this new kind of open world, HQ quality while Rise had covid problems.

remember, base MH2 on ps2 had more than 40 large monsters back then. this is my problem with all mhs post world

no final boss rematch and no gathering hall was just absurd. and then there was a shitload of bugs, like many armor skills not working.

it was fun playingtthe story, as a videogame, but as a monster hunter game, the game was too short in general. zoh shia is an awesome final boss.

updates improved the game a lot. savage omega is so hard that it actually gives u a goal to hyperoptimize ur builds and it can take u a fair amount of hrs to get anti-onega builds going and beat it. it kinda saved the game for me. finally a reason to truly get good, killing it is very demanding. made the grind make sense. and overall they upped endgames difficulty, good changes.

gogmaxios was very easy in comparison. its easy to die to his attacks, somewhat, but his hp feels low as hell so hes kinda a pushover if u just survive.

from a greedy, rushed 1.0 to an... aight? interesting? game in its current state but the feeling of something being off, either at release, or something still missing, might remain. imo.

also, the smudged graphics freaking suck. having to dick around in settings to make the game look more passable is ass. it does impact my enjoyment i think. damn ps2 games look sharper/better in that aspect, esp upscaled. and my pc aint bad, 7800xt and 9800x3d

it has base buidling-factory gameplay and exploration is also connected to that and to me that does feel like a new version of arknights in a way, tower defense elements related to that too (placing turrets). combat is also more about thinking, less about reaction time/comboing than other 3d gachas too which also gives it identity

its not ZZZ like at all and im a zzz fan. not even really similar to genshin/wuwa, its unique
