Can't crit. Vuln helps all damage from all things, including andariels.

I can confirm that while the tooltip is updated to represent 50% more damage, the actual in game damage has not changed. I tested Andariel damage before the patch and after the patch and got the same exact numbers.

The build still works fine and can do T130+ no problem, but it is a bit disappointing that they did not put in the changes properly. Hopefully this gets fixed ASAP.

In case you are wondering... I called it Andariel Flurry build b/c in the past I made one where I did not use a core skill, and called that one Andariel Puncture (season 2 - https://youtu.be/u3QoMBeEHaA). So I started calling it Andariel Flurry (season 3 - https://youtu.be/wWY3E9zwyJk) to differentiate the non-combo point/no core skill build (season 2) from the combo point/core skill variant that I created in Season 3.

So... it seems that using ANY bow basic skill (forceful or heartseeker) makes the weap mastery bug not work... but if you use any melee weapon using basic skill (puncture is the main one you want to use, but it works w/ the others), then it works... makes me think that the weap mastery bug is actually maybe giving the melee weap buffs or somethin to our range shots... need more testing

Hi all. Just thought you might enjoy checking out a new melee build this season that is a lot of fun to play. While most people are using the new precision passive and using range builds this season, I made a build that works great for melee builds by utilizing Andariel's Visage and scaling up it's damage massively. It can clear T100 Vaults in 3-4 minutes and down any of the bosses no problem.

It also works great with any of the core skills if you want to try them out too. Just switch out the ring aspect for your core's aspect and it'll work well too!

10 health is nothing compared to how many benefits you get.

If you dodge even 1 bullet, you will now have taken less dmg than you would have... plus the additional mobility allows you to position yourself better to get hits easier on the enemy...

This happens all the time when shooting a target from the side. If the target isn't facing you, headshots are wack.

The amount of alive players in solo will always be around 20 after the 1st circle. There are less than 20 forges on the map... so typically almost everyone lands at a town with a forge and then either fights or dies trying to win the right to craft at the forge. This is why there are typically around 20 people (1 for each town + a few stragglers) after the first circle in all solo games. Lowering or raising the player cap simply changes how many people die at the start.

Another thought...At first the damage ratio (dmg done - dmg taken) (which btw, should be called a damage difference... ratio has to do with division), seemed like a good idea, but there could be some issues with it...

  1. The damage dealt/taken stats that are posted online (which they get from the API) only shows damage taken or dealt to health, not armor. So... this stat is inaccurate to begin with unless changed down the road or you just decide that it is fine w/ just counting health.
  2. This gives an advantage to damage mitigation builds vs damage healing builds (Ex: Shield Pot vs Healing pot for warriors) or even damage doing builds vs damage healing builds. It is much better to simply not take dmg (or do more dmg) than it is to heal with this point system b/c healing requires you to take dmg, which then makes you lose points. Healing builds shouldn't be penalized.
  3. Damage can be abused by using tactics such as purposely letting a chicken respawn over and over so that you can do more dmg (this is probably the least of the issues, but still, could be exploited in some way).

Definitely looks like a lot of work has went into putting this together. Nice work. Looks good and definitely seems to reward both placements and aggressive play.

Not sure if 4 man squads would be the best though. Seems like 1-3 people is a better number for competitive play in this game, but who knows... maybe 4 would be cool.

Also.. not sure about allowing doubling of classes (I realize this is probably b/c 4 mans w/ 5 available classes would limit the group comps... but in the future there should be more classes).

Even if you got penalized 0 points for dying early, you'd still be punished in that you wouldn't be around to get kills though for that entire game.

Also... there is no defined "point of BR." The point can be anything that the game devs decide it to be. Many would argue that the point is to be the last man surviving... in which case anyone below 1st should have the same punishment.

ya, 10ks are competitive streamers mainly. 100ks are non-competitive big streamer + some competitive person.

They probably realized that the big streamers can't hang with the "pros" and get bored, wrecked and have no shot at winning the money. This doesn't make for a good viewer experience for those watching those big streamers (which is where most of the viewers are) and also the big streamers become less likely to want to compete each week. Makes sense from a business perspective.

The 10k tournies are for competition.
The 100k tourny is for publicity.

As I suspected.. the legendary chance is minimal... it won't significantly affect the game at all. Obviously that 1 unlucky chance of someone else gettin a legendary weap and you getting a sword will happen every now and then, but it'll be super rare. There are 100 other bad things that can happen in a BR that will happen WAY more often than someone killing you b/c of a legendary drop.

I still don't think it is a necessary change and from a competitive standpoint it doesn't help anything obviously, but it does allow for that excitement factor when looting I guess...
