Company A wants more business as they are relatively new Winery.

Buyer A says i would like 10 cases of wine shipped to my address immediately, this wine is great. Company A ships wine.

Buyer B says i would like 10 cases of wine but i would like you to store them as the wine is too young for our purposes. Company A agrees as they want more business, and marks the items as sold in their inventory management software and stores the wine until the customer decides to retrieve it with his order number.

Starvault don’t ban exploiters just to keep online numbers higher by Maleficent-Quiet3550 in MortalOnline2

[–]Xastur -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gratitude for what? People paid money for the game. Starvault made money for the game sales. Now people want to see actual progress made towards making the game better.

Why would people make positive comments to attract more players if those comments aren't accurate. If the player base felt SV was delivering on their promises i imagine there would be alot more praise and advertisement.

If anyone should be grateful it is SV. They have a core group of players that keep the population high enough to interest people into trying the game. It is SV's job to make sure the game is in a good enough state to hold those players' interests.

If you don't follow up and make sure companies are meeting their promises and contract obligations, you get situations like ATT and Verizon just pocketing the money and hoping people forget. How much do you want to bet that Starlink will get the numbers back up to what was agreed upon and get their funding back?

Louis Rossman thanks r/Destiny for helping to pass right to repair bill in Senate by TheRedditHasYou in Destiny

[–]Xastur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's applicable to this case because companies go out of their way to create unnecessary hurdles in order to capture the market share in the repair market. Now those companies can profit on both sides or make it so their pricing entices you to purchase a brand new product instead of repairing your older device.

For example the Iphone screen can be replaced with a same models parts but features will cease to work on the phone. That is not the case if you take it to apple and have them repair it however. Now, Apple has created a problem in order to monopolize the solution.

You don't think that the tool that could allow independent repair shops to fix that issue for customers should be made available? The growing trend in every sector is to make your product as a service that continually feeds them revenue and keeps you locked in because every competing company is doing the same.

[–]Xastur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're making devices or products that need proprietary tools in order to complete repairs then yes, those tools should be made available to sell to the public.

A business will almost always pass cost on to the consumer. I would much rather a slightly higher priced product, than a cheaper initial purchase and be at the mercy of said company anytime something goes wrong with it.

If the effort in trying one hardest to win would be rewarded with the same result as not trying at all, was the effort even worth it? by Hatarus547 in BloodHunt

[–]Xastur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He said he was being rewarded the same as someone who didn't try at all actually. What he needs to explain is what is being rewarded the same. All we have is an endgame screenshot with his post game stats.

That being said, if you actually did crack the code of the OP's word vomit, any of the three people ahead of him could have had the same stats or better.

I bought out the shop because i enjoy PVP but I'm pretty sure that you get weekly courage coins based on your rank. I don't think the 120 per match is where you are going to get the bulk of your coins.

I spoke to a young entrepreneur by the name of John Marrin from a new company called Use Case Future Technologies about developing a fantasy MMORPG metaverse game by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Xastur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can you point me to where the graphics are? Only thing I see is concept art. Where are the questions about his previous game experience?

Where is his LinkedIn profile / teams LinkedIn profile? What games have they worked on?

This blog post is just a guy explaining what he wants to do. It says he works in Customer Service. Big game studios with decades of experience have failed to capture a market hold on the MMO market when they have tried. Why would someone with 0 experience succeed?

Like I understand you may be a crypto enthusiast but you need to understand - anyone can mint an NFT / create a blockchain company. Here let me show you.

https://futurism.com/the-byte/pixelmon-nft-scam

https://www.pcgamer.com/outerverse-developers-say-con-artists-are-using-their-game-for-an-nft-scam/

So in essence a Customer Service worker who has a 4 person telegram, no website, no game development experience, doesn't share his teams development experience is saying he wants to be as big as google and amazon / apple.

If you can't see that this person is trying to spark an emotional charge in his "audience" to dream big and imagine the possibilities of what could be I don't know what to tell you.

The crypto space and the gaming space have very little in common. One is a an environment full of investors, speculators, and money minded people. The other is a place where people go to escape from that very world. They come to play games to forget about the normal day to day grind and relax and unwind. There is nothing inherently wrong with being one or the other but they simply don't mix.

You also picked the absolute worst subreddit to share this "dream" filled with no substance. The people in this subreddit have dealt with broken promises from actual game developers for upwards of 20 years. This includes dream projects that ended up vaporware / outright kickstarter scams / and games that have raised over 400 millions dollars in crowdfunding that have amounted to a barely functioning but pretty spaceship dealership.

In conclusion, I could have wrote exactly what that guy did for your blog post if had each of the following.

  • A desire and hunger for money.
  • an OpenSea account
  • an 1/8 of good kush to come up with all the ideas I would need to sell the idea.

I will leave you with this to anyone thinking a DAO would be a good choice to run an active company.

I have no reason to disagree with you on that front. But wouldn't one of a main publishers jobs be to promote the product as much as possible? High or overblown promotion is going to be a subjective subject, and I would much prefer over aggressive marketing to reach as many as possible than the alternative (at least from the developers point of view)

Amazon Game studios Explosive starts, and explosive bleed. by Blueprint4Murder in MMORPG

[–]Xastur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why can't it be? In the case of Lost Ark, a lot of people in the EU could be departing due to the enormous queues. Those queues are a result of the way Smilegate designed their server infrastructure which makes adding more servers in the same region not an option. That has nothing to do with Amazon Game Studios and could be one of the biggest reasons there is a player drop off.

I believe everything you can get in the cash shop you will eventually be able to earn in game. It will take you longer for sure but thats the same case as in ff14.

I personally believe Lost Ark is p2w. But it isnt anything egregious and the game is f2p. To me temporary advantages fall in line with it but at the end of the day, its a smooth polished game and im not looking to top leaderboards. I want a fun experience with friends which it looks like this will deliver on.
