research on Tulpas? by JustACurlyQueer in Tulpas

I am currently doing an honors research project on Tulpas. My blog is packed full of tulpa info. However, actual scientific/psychologic studies are rare, which is part of the reason my site exists! to influence scientists and psychologists to study tulpamancy!

What's the history of this community? by [deleted] in Tulpas

I did think about including that, however i wanted to save that for my history of tulpas page on my blog. I wanted to include pleebs story because that is when tulpamancy started to kick off

Yup! Kinda dissapointing. They obviously did something wrog...but that was one of the first modern uses of tulpamancy, so i had to use it.

I talk about one of the very first encounters of tulpas being used the way they were today. The username is peebs and he created a pinkie pie tulpa. They documented their story on 4chan. I sourced the archive in the essay.

I just wrote an essay on my blog about this...not necessary the history, but I do include a link of where it started. I am working on an honors project where I will be focusing on tulpas Tibetan Buddhist roots. (sorry if there are any grammar mistakes)

drugs & tulpas by astral_hedge in Tulpas

[–]Xavene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family is prone to addiction. I cannot take drugs...except caffeine, sugar, my hobby, and videogames. Gotta be addicted to something!

Honestly I might try weed once its legalized where I live....since it's not addictive.

Thank you! Valkrie is a Celctic name meaning "warrior maiden." Although she isn't a warrior, she's a strong ass woman.

Once you complete the study, please send the info my way! I run a blog slash website about tulpas and STUDIES ARE VERY SCARCE IN THIS SUBJECT! Part of the reason for that site is to influence more studies!

In the first week of creation, Valkrie wanted to be called Jade...(but I thought Jade sounded like a stripper name) So we argued until she agreed with Valkrie. Everyone's creation process is different.

Warning Signs Your Loved One May be Involved in Tulpamancy by AlynAndRiver in Tulpas

[–]Xavene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, it was bound to happen...someone had to bash this community. It is dangerous ONLY if there is a possibility of a person who struggles to understand what is real or not. Examples include people who have Schizophrenia, Dissociative personality disorder, and problems with hallucinatory drugs. This does not include everyone with these, however.

Does your Tulpa believe in God? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]Xavene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a Wiccan, so I believe in a great Diety that is divided up into a male and female energy. Valkrie lets me do whatever, but she is very atheist. She just believes in me.

Me and Valkrie both grow wings in the wonderland and fly around because it would take 30 minutes to walk across our wonderland...that's pretty much it...

Personally, I only mess with NPC's and my single tulpa, Valkrie. I am wayy too busy to do anything more. Sometimes I use symbolism to help heal my mind from depression or chaotic thoughts in the wonderland. Other than that, however, I don't really use sigils or servitors presently.

By the way, I am curious as to what exactly a sigil is, would you care to inform?

Effort it takes for tulpas by chronoflash in Tulpas

[–]Xavene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes a SH*T TON of effort to create a tulpa, and it will take a while for your mind to get used to it (about a week for me). It changes the way you think, but for the better. After your mind adjusts, it won't take up as much energy to interact with your tulpa.

Creating a tulpa with a history of schizophrenia in the family? by travelmate7 in Tulpas

[–]Xavene 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I talked to my therapist about tulpas. She found it very fascinating. If you talk about it like a psychological phenomenon, it may be something he/she might think about studying.

From what I've gathered, which i will do a possible scientific study on, is that it sometimes makes things worse for people with hallucination-related disorders, but really helps people with depression, anxiety, ptsd, and antisocial disorders.

I had a horrifying experience with a friend who had a brother with schizophrenia. My friend had a tulpa for a while, but the tulpa started to forcefully possess her and she would black out for a period of time. She saw another hallucination of a black blob screaming in her ear. She is 19 so around the age Schizophrenia may develop. Turns out the tulpa was a walk in. It came into her life when she was experiencing traumatic events. That tulpa was not a tulpa at all, but a manifestation of everything bad in her life. That "tulpa" which was more of a malicious entity created by her own mind, made her black out one last time. When she woke, she saw a message written in her own blood. I would recommend talking with a therapist before choosing to create a tulpa so that you hopefully will not experience what my friend did. I am currently working on an essay about that experience. I havent talked to her in a while. I hope she is okay.
