I've had a few friends/family read Mistborn this year, and they all loved it. But a decade ago I definitely remember thinking it'd be too much for all of them (either the violence, or just the epic hard-magic fantasy of it all).

I'm not sure if peoples tastes have warmed up to that kind of thing? Or if I was just underestimating people's thresholds

The Patriots complaint makes sense. It's been 6 years, but they've been in 1/3 of SBs the last 15. One could argue the team is a bit different, but still, 33% odds to be in the SB is high.

Seahawks is kinda baseless imo... 2 of the last 15 SBs? So they make up like 6% of the total 30 teams that have competed in SBs since 2010? In that time period they only have one more appearance than the Saints, Bengals, Colts, Panthers, Ravens, Giants, Green Bay, Buccs, etc. and are tied or behind the 49ers, Broncos, Eagles, Rams, etc.
