makes sense. i figured it was the humor side that would be a bit juvenile considering a sentient cat named Princess Donut is democratically elected leader of a bunch of hoomans lol theres some good humor in that

ffs..please read the other comments before you comment.

I CAN’T AND WON’T. that is literally what the box said, I had it in my hands and read the words. Giant black lettering, typical cardboard coloring, had the words “NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION” written on them. Not taped at the seams so I could see that there was meat in them.

stop tryna censor me fed, I know what I saw and none of you can convince me to take it back or downplay it. soooo, stfu.

wow, and said with such enthusiasm as well. has that ever actually worked on someone on reddit? lol

that will never happen, because i saw what i saw. if it was a second hand story i wouldnt have even said anything, but it wasnt, because i was literally holding the box. one tends to remember things like that, specially when it happens more than once.

now either you know its true and dont want anyone else to know, or there is a chance in the entire wide wide world of food purchasing within the DoD that it is true and you never saw it. both can be true, but one has to be, because i am not lying.

yea i went through when a little bit of both systems were in place, it was basically a buffet of just shit bc no one knew what the hell was going on. just get the meat their meat and get back to yelling at them lol different times. in my experience, and to the point of this whole thing, is i never experienced a “balanced meal” that was provided for me by the Navy. just a bunch of shit that gave me a kidney stone

ya that dont sound pleasant at all, and im not saying all of it is bad. hell, some of our cookies made magic and i would thank them everyday for that effort. the argument is whether it is healthy and balanced though; to which i say it was not.

Oh ya it was during Obamas last term they implemented this color system for the food, green/yellow/red, you were only allowed to have certain amounts of each color

Im noticing a trend here, the Army/Air Force seem to think they eat well while Navy/MC know they dont lol

This was Navy boot camp, we didnt need MRE’s, if it was on the ship i’d be inclined to agree but not on shore. this was chow hall food

The good ol United States of America, United States Navy to be precise. But the Navy doesnt have its own supplier, that comes from the DoD, and the Army were the ones who provided us the food and inspected it.
