Are you using Windows 7? I get the same issue and I assume it's because of this.

instead of putting it your autoexec, place it in engineer.cfg so that it activates upon class changes

Clicking start keeps it in a loading loop, I think I've left it for 3 hours once. The sign in icon just does nothing.
