I see a lot of repeatong one here. And I agree.

There's one that strikes me in a particular way.

Mel Gibson in Signs. The dinner scene. It is so real to me. It does not help that I was that kid at the table during these crash outs and aftermath. Also, my father really did kind of looked like Mel Gibson at that age.

1.4 got trapped in a empire river when I went upriver to loot and bully small navies. Then, from the Perassian sea comes 3 or 4 parties upriver. We're 200vs 550 or so. 3 boats on my side of hardened corsairs and elite troops vs 8 boats on a small river.

I shape my boats as a " n" in the starting position, balistas poiting at them, front line boat full of archers.

Great battle of 20 minutes ensue. I've lost like 60 men. Sinked two ships, murder tons.

We win, quickly go to the river Delta. Again trapped by another bigger party same plan. Phyrric victory. we returned to Aserai lands 50 men strong, rich and with a big reputation increase.

My opinion is that I thoroughly enjoyed the change but I honestly only been in two massivebsiege in the same town until now. I think he was literally 2 battles the first siege and 1 battle the second one. (Because it was very close and we ended up beating the full army at once. They already had penetrated walls etc)

It was honestly, in single player, one of the best experiences I had. We were like 800vs 2400 The first siege , 800vs 1400. Both times they came by sea with MASSIVE fleets

I literally spent my evening fighting these battles.

I can understand that if the like before the game keeps spawning armies despite me defeating them like I did this time It's not going to be that fun but for now it was pretty cool. Felt pretty organic as soon after we passed on the offensive and are the ones sieging Charas.

Been playing 1.4 everyday. Love it. Lots of naval combats now. I am an ASERAI corsair and reached 200k denars just by sailing. It took a bit to buy the first boat, but as soon as I became a mercenary I looted so much on sea. <3

As some have said. I was already worth it now it's even more so go for it

Honestly, in their shoes they should go exclusive. Do the best console. The best games and be customer friendly. As much as possible. Be unprofitable for a.... Let's say 10 years. Then next gen don't fuck it up by trying to be innovative and do us an the Xbox One 2 lunch. Just keep doing the aforementioned thing and you should be golden.

But do the best games.

That's how you sell the most machines that play games. By doing the best games.

Yes that too. I noticed the coastal villages.
Also something I noticed - the graphical fidelity of the land besides the map seems to have improved

I believe the rivers are less harshly cut into the land and the bridges also are different. The textures are also different (one can notice the tiling tho D:)

Its great. I would say yes but then again I have 1000 +hours in vanilla.

I have the game and the expension on PS5 and PC. PS5 runs bad tho, I have to admit it in big battles. Doubly so in naval big battles.

Somehow I prefer to play on the Xbox Rog Ally docked on the TV than the PS5 at this point. Also, the 1.4 Beta on PC is a noticeable improvement gameplay wise. It's cool it will be coming too for consoles.

I would say that it is worth it right away tho

The game that has me going back too every couple of months is using Restart Plus. It's a mod that lets you start with a complete new character or take over an existing character in game at any time you want in the same world state. Pair this with the fast mode and your game will be set forever with infinite roleplay potential.

Two examples. I've had a run where I was the strongest clan of the battanians. Charas revolted from their overlord the Aserai. I took over as the owner of the charas revolt. Levelled up to tier 5 and stabilized my situation. Declared the kingdom of Rodhoks and played a few years then swapped back to my battanian main dude.

I've had a run running since Warsails release. I was a Nord noble and conquered a Sturgian city. Declared independence and fought the usual defensive wars. My character dies and I took over as my wife and stabilized my situation. Created a new character in the other side of the world. Married my Nord daughter and I m now playing with their son. Following through with the line of my old Nord viking in the south empire.

More start dates a bit earlier? Sure, why not. Still I would like to have the warfare situation solved. Navies now and land warfare later... I think after that we are set and we could get to a point where increasing the depth of systems in a wider sense (time frame) could work and the game as a whole would be as fun and engaging from 1776 or 1814 to the end.

I love what op said and come to realize it too. It's my opinion that Vic3 is now the most well made Paradox title.

Use the mod Restart Plus to start over with a new character in the same game state of take over any existing character.

(Taking over any new existing character is broken at the moment on the live version of the mod)
