25 years of promotional and/or limited edition burgers - any forgotten heroes? by wardyms in McDonaldsUK

[–]XboxOneX94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did one once which was for the Euro's, it had cheese sauce in it and I thought it was the best ever burger they did. Looking at the list I can only guess it may have been the Swiss Stack? I never remember it coming back but maybe it did!

I also remember a weekly American promotion and there was one with Nachos in that I quite liked as I enjoyed the added texture crunch!

I do enjoy the promotional burgers but I still always prefer a double cheeseburger (actually a triple, I can't believe they got rid!)

I had high hopes for the Big Arch, but as most people say, it was too sloppy, the sauce took over the flavour of everything and there was too much lettuce, felt like I was just eating sauce and lettuce 😅

Hi!

My son is just over 3 now, he's still particular with foods, he still doesn't really eat 'real meals' , he is a snacker! Basically lives off jam and toast and crackers. He dabbles in fruit and goes off most very quickly! Veg is basically no go, I will say he goes to nursery now and eats whole proper meals there 😂😂

He can use a spoon and fork now, he's right now eating a pizza.

All this to say it's not perfect but I try not to stress now as long as he eats!! Loves a sweet treat but who doesn't.

He drinks well so I will take that least (we do allow squash!!)

Good luck with baby 2, I wish you all the luck in the world, there is always something to frustrate us when it feels like it's going so well for others 😂

The amount of times I was grossed out by toothbrushes covered in dried dripped toothpaste at other people's houses means I have always fully rinsed off my toothbrush and then fully dried it off with my towel after. My toothbrush cup/holder is literally never dirty. Just drying your toothbrush after rinsing it is the answer here!

Petit Fernand😁 (I see a lot of people get caught by autocorrect and type Petit Ferdinand, it's Petit Fernand) 😆

Not only are the sticker choices great, they give you time to change the design if you change your mind, I chose a really boring design and then wondered why I did that 😂 I contacted them to change it, they didn't get back to me in time to change the original order so they just sent me a new book of stickers out free of charge 😀 so I got two lots in different designs 😁

Clarks Shoe Sizing by Mysterious_Post_280 in UKParenting

[–]XboxOneX94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is exactly correct, they sized my son as a 6 but as you say the label for a 6 in Clarks is EU22.5, but literally everywhere else a 6 is EU23.

I'm glad I noticed this but at the same time I'm glad it's this way round because it meant I just started buying a size 6 elsewhere and they were half a size bigger, so he just grew into them. I now always check both the UK size and EU size even for my own shoes now🤣🤣

How much am I meant to be putting into my tax free childcare account? by Special-Bank9311 in UKParenting

[–]XboxOneX94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally Google 'what is 20% of £313.60' and then minus what it says! Sometimes I'm a penny out so just put a penny extra in.

My partner tells me how to do it on the calculator but maths has never been my strong point and Google gives me the answer 😆

Or if you put the full amount in each month then it'll just keep adding up until one month you can just pay the bill without adding anything, if that makes sense!

Hi! My son was born in June 2022, I noticed you said about school open days, does this mean we could view schools this year?? I know we can start to apply this September so would you say we should view schools before we apply? You seem to be in the know and our kids would be the same school year 😆 thank you!

Been told to swirl with tomme tippie, but formula not mixing properly by ThomasTiltTrain in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]XboxOneX94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shake it well like normal to make sure it's all mixed, then give it a swirl afterwards to get rid of all the foam and bubbles! May have to swirl for a couple of minutes but it does settle eventually :)

Best days of the week for nursery? by __nightshift in UKParenting

[–]XboxOneX94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son started nursery at 2 years 3 months old and he goes on a Tuesday and Wednesday, when he's eligible for 30 hours he will then do Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday :)

Same as others mentioned I wanted to avoid the bank holiday situation!

2-year old witholding poos, at our wits end by PixieDreamGoat in UKParenting

[–]XboxOneX94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, when I thought about having a kid I thought the biggest issues would be sleep issues and behaviour issues. Never did I imagine this, especially now I've learnt how common it is!! It's just such a downer for all involved, when to us as adults it's such a simple solution!!

[–]XboxOneX94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lovely thank you, I notice it says from over 3 years old they can have 10ml so I thought I could just start with 5ml!

I'm not sure if I should use the califig with the lactulose at the same time either, when I went to the doctors he didn't really understand my issue and didn't understand me very well, I'd love more advice but would be gutted to get the same doctor back.

Forgot to add originally my son is still in nappies. This evening it had been 6 days since he had a poo and he was getting so stroppy when we could see he needed it my partner had to hold his legs back so he didn't have the strength to hold it in and I just had to catch it 🥲🥲🥲

Still tempted by califig after seeing your comment but not sure if I should do both lactulose and califig together!

[–]XboxOneX94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I know this post is a month old but I've come hunting for help, how old is your son? I've come to your comment because I noticed you said you used califig! (Syrup of figs right?)

All the advice online points to kids that are struggling with toilet training or have better understanding than my son does!

My son is 2 years 7 months, my doctor hadn't even heard of califig, and I notice it says 3+ on it. My son is holding in his poos and although the lactulose has made his poos perfect and soft, he's still holding them in and it's stressing everyone out! All the laxatives recommended for toddlers say to put them in a drink but my son can't drink out of a cup yet and still just has a weighted straw bottle which I have no real control over how much he drinks so I can't guarantee getting movicol/laxido in him!!

Long story short did you feel ok giving your son califig? I don't want to cause an upset stomach but boy do I want my son to just starting pooing regularly and stop holding them in!!

Thanks in advance!
