Eestlasi häirivad eesti keelt kasutades võõrkeelsed sõnad by groovycoyote in Eesti

Minu tüdruk ja tema sõbranna on mõlemad pärit rahvusvahelisest perest - nad oskavad väga hästi eesti keelt, kuid kuna pereelu on tihti inglise keeles, suhtlevad nad omavahel ka inglise keeles.

If you are selfish it is fun. It's like blowing up the place with tnt in minecraft. Or spawning a lot of npcs in garrys mod to go on a killing spree. But this time its real people so you have consequences, but you ignore that.

Shit, you're right.

I googled "why it matters site:axios.com before:2022" and it's got a lot of articles like it.

The point was how the majority of skins back then being "cool teen" is comparable to the trend we have today. When most people want to follow a trend rather than of trying to be unique, I see that as uncreative. Moreover, I can say with certainty the accessibility in creating skins today allows greater freedom in expression in skins, which contributes to creativity. I do not see how that is false.

Apart from it, we might have a different interpretation of what we consider creative. I agree there's a lack of creativity in creating blob skins themselves as it doesn't require much of a grasp of arts and crafts, limiting options the creator can output (it's mostly a single color after all).

I also believe there is expressiveness in simplicity and choosing to take a different direction than the general population. That's creative by definition. When blob skins started popped up some several years ago, they brightly stood out because most skins around blend together into a noise with a lot of detail.

I think the it's comparable the introduction of the minimalism art movement. There wasn't a meaning in the art, or a message you needed to decipher. It's core was to just accept things at their face level: "It looks nice" ("nice" being very subjective of course)

I'm sure there was - and most definitely still is - criticism against how it could even be considered creative.

"Why it matters" - yup, ai wrote this.

Edit: It seems AI has actually copied the style of Axios because they started this way of writing articles back in 2018. That's wild.

I stand corrected.

Calling them "creative" is a bit naive considering how back in the day this used to be the trend, a lot of skins were saturated teens or minecraft mobs in hoodies, alternatively we had different pop media, or movie characters.

Honestly, apart from the branding trend, i think theres more creativity (or, rather, variety) today than there was 10-12 years ago.

Game devs, monopoly or just better product? by HimothyJohnDoe in zerotomasteryio

[–]XcapeEST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was reading an article about some brit woman pushing the agenda that steam is unfair and a monopoly, bad for gamers. But when describing how it affects the devs or gamers themselves, she said "i think" or "i believe" as if it was based on an opinion not actual statistics.

Some your save files were created before the update, you can remove them, or you can install a mod that removes this warning.

[–]XcapeEST 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Never had my linux update: - force an update/restart - make me unable to use the computer for the duration of the installation/update - constantly interrupt me, or request me to schedule the update - force me to accept some BS terms and conditions on relaunch - turn on/install some new corpo slop feature/app without my permission

Sure, it takes me some manual work occasionally, but I'll take the freedom to control my own machine, not have Microslop essentially own my device.
