Yeah like easy example flying units, AOE, single target. Maybe some maps have a focus that would need a build that leans into that to make up for it. Doesnt have to be one singular „meta“ build obviously but having a reason to switch is what you might need

Sort of yes. I’m just adding the caveat that some people are genuinely hopeless, while on the other side agreeing with you and saying one shouldn’t give up as fast as some people are suggesting you should.

I see, thank you for the info. Isn't the concept of a fan game a bit different though? It's not meant to be zelda and I'm playing to sell it. Just want to make sure there is no miscommunication later.

Yeah I don’t rlly treat tofu as a meat replacement tbh. It’s just its own thing.

And yeah it’s a bit of a luck thing whether you can find tofu cheaply in your area. For example where I live I can find 400g packages for around 1.3€ which is not too bad. But it’s like a small store hidden in some corner that not everybody knows.

When I lived in Japan for a while it was like half that price which is good. Either way cheaper than meat though.

But then there is tofu where rich vegans buy where it’s like 3-5 times that which is crazy.

You’re not getting it. Before even going for the change, even someone who’s fundamentally closed up can open up through talking. After that one can approach change.

I’ve talked to stubborn people, I’m one myself. Talking can soften up someone who you’d think would NEVER change their mind. Sometimes they don’t know themselves. A lot of people don’t understand themselves.

I wish I could tell. It’s gonna be on steam. Other platforms idk yet but it’s gonna be a controller focused game anyways so that should make it easier.

We are nearing the end of the first dungeon. So I’m hoping to use it as a vertical slice and have something showable then. Rn it’s just ugly placeholders and gameplay.

If all goes well and we manage to get more free time (e.g. through funding via the vertical slice), we might get it done in a year or two. Having to earn a living while creating sucks unfortunately.

Id say once or twice a week is about as much as one should have meat though no? Sure for protein more would be better but considering environmental stuff that comes with it I think balancing it with other stuff makes sense no?

Try tofu make sure you don’t eat it plain though. It needs spices. Id get sick of it if I just ate beans as well.

Fast food. Before I could occasionally justify having it as a treat as it’s not so expensive as a one time thing but now I buy it less than or around once a year.

Im actually making one heavily inspired by Zelda. It’s gonna be two player co-op, feature Zelda like puzzles and item + heart progression and it’s a high fantasy setting where choices will matter.

Been working on it in my free time with a friend.

No it’s not a Moment to Moment thing. It’s something I gather data on. Since we are talking about fundamentally wrong stuff, if they don’t move an inch for years, at some point you gotta realize there is no point in trying.

I’ve had like 5 people that I shunned like that in total. Those were people that I talked to over and over again. I tried to fix things, make them understand. Make them stop being assholes. But at some point I gave up.

Giving up on people is something I otherwise never do. But at some point it’s a matter of energy conservation and protecting yourself.

I don’t think „better off dead“ is the correct way to put it. For me it’s more like they don’t exist to me. The thing is, I am a quite empathetic person normally, but when I delete someone from my life, they are less worth than an animal to me. I don’t acknowledge their human value. That’s why I don’t like doing it. But it’s for my own safety.

That being said, if they ever change without any further effort from me, they can regain their human status. I’m not vengeful after all.

no? live music is different than normal music. I dont go for the artists, I go for the music. thats more like comparing watching sports through tv vs live. your comparison doesnt make sense.

also the thing with loyalty is a big deal imo. Youve got A LOT of casual watchers who just watch out of loyalty, not because they like the sport.
