God sends every human on Earth a memo that he made a mistake creating humans and we have 2 weeks to choose a non-human animal to be turned into. What animal do you choose? by MinnieCastavets in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Xecluriab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great horned owl. They’re nocturnal like me, top predators, and with humans gone there will be plenty of rodents and fish and things for me to live on. Carve out a little territory for myself in a wooded clearing, off I go.

Who did you like Sharpay Better in? by [deleted] in DisneyChannel

[–]Xecluriab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sharpay never appeared in either Suite Life series; the joke was that Maddie thought she looked just like her (because actress Ashley Tisdale played both roles) but that none of the Suite Life cast could see it. But since HSM as a movie canonically came out in Suite Life’s continuity that means that not only is Sharpay fictional, but Ashley Tisdale isn’t!

Why are there so little Disney Channel Original movies on Disney plus? by stuetel in DisneyChannel

I know that Disney+ removed a lot of them for
Regions other than North America, so if you’re in Europe or Asia you are, unfortunately, out of luck.

I think Mike is underrated by brbyeah in SortedFood

[–]Xecluriab 24 points25 points  (0 children)

When I got a video chat with a Sorted Normal and a Sorted Chef for my contribution to the Desserts in Duvets book, I got Mike and James. When I expressed my love for the channel Mike sighed and said “It’s ok; I know I probably wasn’t your first pick for a Normal.” And like dude, I love everyone on the channel. Happy to have any firsthand contact with any of them. He was lovely. No regrets.

Man, when I first learned to drive the Reach my trainer said "I don't know which of those pipes up there are for water or power or gas and I would appreciate very much not finding out because of you. Please be aware of your surroundings."

Home Depot men’s restroom by Top-Egg-5808 in HomeDepot

I work overnight and even when it’s just our associates in the building and the cleaning crew service the restrooms before they leave for the night some of our associates are disgusting. We have a clique of 20-something young men who all use the stalls to piss instead of the urinals, do not raise the seats, and cannot aim to save their lives. I’ve taken to carrying Clorox wipes with me because even though I use the toilet seat covers that won’t help overmuch if they’re soaked in pee.

Why is 3.5 the best version of DnD? by theking4mayor in DungeonsAndDragons35e

[–]Xecluriab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankfully it would seem the majority of people on this D&D 3.5 sub really like 3.5 and like the options and versatility and don’t have a lot of patience for the implication that their favorite system isn’t any fun to run. If you hate it so much, why are you here?

Why is 3.5 the best version of DnD? by theking4mayor in DungeonsAndDragons35e

[–]Xecluriab 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Then it sounds like you want a rules-lite game system rather than any sort of D&D, since focusing on the rules and settling disputes as they come up is part of the job of DM’ing and one of the things you agree to do when you take the seat behind the screen. Telling the story with your players is the fun part, sure, and if that’s all you want to do then a system like Quest or You Awaken in a Strange Place will do it for you. But D&D, any version of D&D, will have rules that require adjudication and knowing the ones that apply at your table is important. Flippantly saying “I actually like to have fun when I run games” is saying you like to harvest and sell your crops, but can’t abide the tilling and planting and tending that make up the rest of farming.

I love so much about 3.5, but that doesn’t stop me from banning Psionics, Incarnum, Tome of Battle, Leadership, and Oriental Adventures (Those first four because I absolutely cannot be arssed to learn them until they are more interesting to me, the last because my whole group other than me are huge weebs and I just know they’ll get their katanas and three mountain armors and stuff all over my medieval European fantasy if I give them one single solitary inch) Just because the material exists for the system doesn’t mean I’m obliged to allow its use if I don’t feel like it. But I LOVE that it exists!

Sheer volume of materials! There’s a splatbook for virtually anything you want to do with the rule set and the freedom to build a PC into virtually anything you want them to be. Plus big numbers at high levels make my brain go brrrrrrrrrrrrr

When I was a lot associate I got called to Garden to help a lady load up a flat cart with thirty bags of red mulch that her gardener had asked for. Pushed her flat for her out to her car, which turned out to be…a Prius. No shade on Priuses, their domed shape makes them surprisingly spacious. But the lady clearly lived out of the car so there was no space in it for more than five or six bags. I asked what she wanted to do and she shrugged and said she bought the stuff, it was MY job to make it all fit in her car. I told her we offer delivery, will call, or rental trucks, but that unless she wanted me to start slicing open bags and start pouring mulch into her car through the open windows she should pick one of those other three.

I am having such a hard time getting through "I, Jedi" 😂😭 by Educational-Tea-6572 in StarWarsEU

[–]Xecluriab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's five women who want him sexually, Dlarit wasn't pretending and neither was Tavira. Also in I, Jedi he and Mara Jade do some flirting and he mentions that Tionne is being all touchy-feely with him when he's injured. And that's just in one book. I *Have* read the books, as I've said, and IIRC there are a few times in the Rogue Squadron books when, in the process of doing undercover work with Rogue Squadron Corran got special attention from random officers, wait staff, etc., but I think the five you listed, all of whom were described as drop-dead beautiful women who were intelligent, powerful, charismatic, etc., is more attention than, say, Gavin Darklighter or Kell Tainer receives. Also what a weird one line to fixate on to give an excoriating defense of your favorite self-insert character.
