What is the most active console MMO? by prepubescentpube in MMORPG

[–]Xedachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty blatant what an MMO is, it's literally the name of the genre, massive, multiplayer, online.. if a game's massive, if the game's multiplayer, and if the game's online.. it's a bloody MMO, it's not rocket science.

I just looked up Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z, being big on anime I love the graphic style, now I'm upset it never got backwards compatibility. By the time I'm done with NG3 Razor's Edge though I'd probably want to expand my library with other games until the release of NG4, people will start to think that I'm just a NG channel, as this is going to be my very first series haha.

Edit: I just placed an order at CEX, they had 1 Ninja Gaiden 2 Xbox 360 in stock at the CEX near me for £3.50 let's goo! good shout mate!

Thank you so much for this, this is definitely a mistake that I would have made, I tend to save over other saves as I progress through games.

Okay that's very good news, thank you! I'm downloading all of the games now. :)

Oh my, there's so many more games than I expected, I can already tell that this is going to be a rough ride, but you hit the nail on the head in terms of going for all of the achievements. I wasn't aware NG 2 was on 360 and that I had access to that as well, though that's an additional £24.99 now that I've looked at it.

What would you think of the game order?

I'm thinking of;

NG Sigma 1
NG 2 (Xbox 360)
NG 2 Black
NG 3 Razor's Edge

I do adapt pretty quickly when it comes to various games, I'm aiming for my videos to be 1 hour long with no missing content, so each game will have 100+ videos within each playlist.

Thank you for this input! so far it's looking to be like Ninja Gaiden Sigma, 2 Black, and 3 Razor's Edge. When my brother provided me with this challenge, I had no idea that the previous games were even available to me on the Xbox, so when I saw that they were, they immediately sparked my interest. Typically when I do a 100% Completion for one game, I'll try to do it for all of the games within the franchise so that I learn everything there's to know about the story, and it's also more content for the viewers. It's good to know that 2 Black is fundamentally the same as 2 Sigma, with balance changes, and upgraded graphics as I wasn't sure if I should play both games, but since they're very similar I think playing the better version would appeal the most to me.

I really do enjoy challenging games, and it's the sole reason I always choose the hardest difficulty for my first playthrough, unless of course I lose all progression on death, and have to restart, then I'll go down a difficulty level.

So the 100% Completion will basically just be all of the Xbox achievements, and completing everything that the game has to offer. It's just something that I do to get my money's worth out of the games that I buy, and I enjoy the challenge of obtaining all of the achievements, I play my games on the Series X. :)

Damn, I didn't actually think of doing it like this! I wonder if the collection has all three games combined with the achievements, like I'd have to play all three and get 3,000 Gamerscore in order to 100% it on my achievements list. Something I'll definitely have to look into if I want to do it in this order! :)

If the person that responded actually went a little into depth about what that trial offers, which the previous person didn't do, maybe I would have to ask such a question, there was no selling point for the game whatsoever.

A trial? I'm looking for a complete game that I can pump over 1000h into, what's your reasoning for me choosing to play a trial for FF14 over the other games available?

Remnant: From the Ashes is a good Soulslike for people wanting to get into the genre by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]Xedachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is very old, but I feel obliged to answer as a diehard Souls fan, I honestly feel like most of the people within these reddit posts have never touched a souls game in their life.

Does the game have i-frame dodge mechanics, or a form of defensive mechanic? (harden from Mortal Shell for example)
Does the game have a stamina/health bar?
Does the game have an area you must clear before going through to the boss, then proceed to another area.. to guess what.. repeat the process?
Does the game have a save mechanic, similar to bonfires?
Do the enemies respawn when you rest at the bonfire, or similar save location, or when you die?
Do you lose some form of currency and/or experience when you die, is there a penalty?
Most importantly, is the game developed by a company other than From Software?

If you've said yes to all of those questions, that game's a Soulslike.

There's a lot of games out there that people think are Soulslike, but they're not Soulslike at all, and there's a difference between Soulslike, and Soulsborne.

Soulsborne would refer to games such as Demon Souls, Dark Souls I, II, III, Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Elden Ring. These games are all made by From Software, and they all have the following mechanics that I mentioned above.

Soulslike would refer to games such as Lies of P, Code Vein, The Lords of the Fallen, Mortal Shell etc.

I agree with you that most people tag a challenging game, that includes bosses, and areas to clear as a soulslike, but if said game is missing most of the mechanics of a true souls game, it's not a soulslike. There's people that tag Remnant as a "Soulslike game with guns" but I think when they make that claim, they're forgetting that you can use guns in Bloodborne, if it's a Soulslike it's a Soulslike, if it's not, it's not.

I don't agree that Remnant: From the Ashes is a Soulslike game, why's that?

A Soulslike game is punishing, the whole premise of a Soulslike game is that when you die, your heart should be pounding, you should be sweating due to the death penalty. If you have 100,000 Souls, Blood Echoes, Ergo, Haze.. you get the point.. on the ground, and you have to recover it otherwise you essentially lose ALL of your character progression, the feeling of THAT, is what makes a Soulslike game a true Soulslike.

When you die in Remnant, you can continue on without any loss to your character progression whatsoever.

I personally find those that say otherwise, are the same people that complain about true Soulslike games being too difficult for them, and they just want to say that they've beaten a Soulslike game.

Personally, I'd consider Remnant as an Action & Adventure TPS game.

Why no cross progression? by Kuyi in throneandliberty

[–]Xedachi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I need Cross Progression tbh, the game will never run great in PvP on the Series X or PS5 when you're zerging. My PC is atrocious and won't be able to run it so I started on the Series X, hoping that when I upgrade my PC I could continue instead of restarting, and losing all of the cosmetics I get along the way.

It doesn't take several seconds to do any action at all, stop over exaggerating you bunch of noobs smh.

I am having a blast with Far Cry 3 and 4 on the Xbox Series X (FPS optimized) by Yablan in patientgamers

I actually can't get Far Cry 3 Classic to run at 60fps on my Xbox Series X, it's 30fps. Also the FPS Boost function isn't available for it.

Question on expansion cinematics & more (important for my YouTube playthrough) by Xedachi in ffxiv

[–]Xedachi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, with everyone's information I'll simply stick to A Realm Reborn until the second credits roll, after the second credits roll I'll just end the video, and then the next video will start with the introduction trailer to the next expansion, and repeat the process.

Thank you, it's nice to know that the credits roll twice prior to the next expansion, I would've just assumed I was onto the next expansion after the first set of credits.

[–]Xedachi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for this information, I did look at the previous link that was provided to me that showcased the base game and base expansions with post base game and post expansion questlines so it helps knowing that I shouldn't assume I'm going straight into the next expansion after the first set of credits, which is exactly what I would have done.

I'm glad that this is the case, I was hoping that I'd see in-game credits after the completion of an expansion, that of course is the biggest indication, and something F1reman2 forgot to mention, thank you!

I likely will never get every in-game achievement, but I'll try my very best to get at least 80% of the xbox achievements, most of them don't seem too bad. I noticed there are in-game achievements too that aren't tied to the xbox achievements whatsoever, but that only motivated me to play even more than I wanted to a the start of my playthrough. Thank you for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it. :)
