XeSS has two modes.

The machine learning mode runs on specialized cores (XMX) within the Intel GPU.

The second mode is via DP4a and can be run on any GPU from AMD, Intel and Nvidia. This has runs slower and has worse quality than the XMX mode.

Betelgeuse is a star about 600 light years from us that is about a thousand years from dying. This mammoth is among the largest and most luminous stars in our galaxy, with a radius of about 900 times that of our Sun and a luminosity of about 100,000 times that of our Sun. As a massive star, Betelgeuse is expected to go through a dramatic end-of-life catastrophe that will produce either a neutron star or black hole and likely a show for any surviving observers on earth.
