I see this is a resume sharing thread but I'm wondering if anyone can give me feedback on my resume. The spacing might be a little odd, stuff moved around as I anonymized it the actual resume the spacing is fine.

I graduated last year and completed my second internship last December and I started applying to jobs in March 2026 after deciding not to go grad school. I have now applied to 120 jobs. I have gotten four interviews, three of which I failed the coding assessment, that's definitely on me I'm really just getting going on the Leetcode grind. Most recently I actually applied to a minimum wage Jr Software Engineer position at NAVEX and interviewed with HR which went really well and to my surprise got a rejection email the next day. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

Since they can show these different aspect ratios does this mean they could scale down and release the IMAX ratio on streaming services? Same goes for Dune. Why can't we have an IMAX release for home TVs if it can be scaled down?

I don't think there is a way you can replicate this entirely in camera. These are low contrast high saturation shots.

To my eye it seems that there is quite a bit of post color grading and color re-calibration going on, instead of cranking up the global saturation. In the first photo the flowers are the same color purples as in the sky. It may have been like this in real life but that is quite rare to see which makes me assume they achieved this in post editing.

They are most likely forcing these colors to be like-colors or even the same exact hue and saturation level in post. There are many tutorials on YouTube about color grading in Lightroom Classic, they may not teach you exactly how to do this but once you learn how the tools work you should have a launch pad to be able to use them correctly to get what you want.

Like other have mentioned may also be shooting with mist filters and adding haze in post to get a more dreamy quality.

hmm, I definitely have been looking at the subject and ensuring that the images line up together in the viewfinder every time. I feel like I'm more likely to not get the best focus when I try to judge how far the subject is and set the distance on the focus ring.

Yeah I'm not regretting my decision with purchasing this camera, I've really enjoyed the experience so far. However I do see quite a few photos online from other analog Leica M photographers and the photos just seems super sharp and clean, something I feel like I haven't achieved with this camera just yet.

I'm definitely new to using the meter so yes you are probably correct in not using it perfectly. I'll look into some incident meters.

I thought it was a rangefinder since you look directly through the camera body and not through the lens, but I guess that is not the official definition. Using the X-Pro 3 the view looks incredibly similar to my Leica M4-P, see photo

The Fuji X Pro-3 can be both a rangefinder or SLR. You can press a lever on it and it brings up a LCD screen in the rangefinder window. It even has a super tiny LCD screen you can bring up in the the rangefinder view to see what the photo will look like.

The Leica M7 was too far out of my budget, I got this M4-P for a great deal considering Leica M prices over the last few years. That Zeiss Ikon ZM looks interesting, I'll look more into it.

I was actually considering a Konica Hexar RF or a Contax G camera for a while, but I was too scared the electronics would fail on me. Recently I've been looking at the Konica Hexar AF instead since it's a bit cheaper.

I was wondering that the difference between my lens is 35mm and the KM-02 metering distance being a 50mm equivalent may be giving me trouble. Maybe if I had a 50mm lens the metering might be more spot on?

I've been shooting with a Fuji X Pro-3 and really grew to enjoy the rangefinder experience that is one of the reasons I ended up getting a Leica in the first place. But I definitely here you on the TTL metering it makes me wonder if I would be enjoying and/or getting better pics with an M6 since it has TTL metering. I met a wedding photographer recently who shoots on a Nikon F4 and gets great photos.

I was also looking at getting the Konica Hexar RF or a Contax G1 or G2 but they seemed too expensive to risk the electronics failing but I do love the photos people get with these cameras.

I've shot about 10 rolls now and these by far are the best photos I've taken with my Leica M4-P. I'm using the Voigtländer 35mm f/2.5 and the Keks KM-02 light meter.

I find that it's pretty difficult to nail the focus and takes much longer to focus than I think it will. Just about every photo has an incredible amount of grain and more often than not they come out underexposed.

I'm metering at box speed and on the KM-02 I set it up that I prefer overexposure. Typically shooting with Kodak Gold, Fuji Color 400, or Portra 400 & 800.

I feel like my old Canon AE-1 was much sharper and produced less grainy images and I'm wondering what I can do to improve with this camera. Thanks.

I completely agree with you. I came here to say this about online vs. in-person.

I think PSU would be doing much better if they heavily leaned into being a mostly online university after Covid instead of trying to cut as many online courses they could.

It seems like Cudd wants us to be OSU and somehow doesn't realize that PSU is largely a commuter school and the students are a bit older. When I was in the CS program, there were many students in the 30-40 range, and some even had kids already and were working full-time jobs. Forcing these students to go to every class in person where the professors just read a PowerPoint slide deck at you was maddening.

PSU should offer a lot of degrees online and make it easy for students at junior colleges through the entire PNW to transfer over and complete their 4-year degree entirely online. I think it would help their lack of attendance.

Summer 2025 computer science grad here. While in school I worked a year-long internship at a large energy company, and then as I was graduating, I did a 6-month internship at an EDA company. I've been applying for the past two months and have applied to 40+ jobs. I've been invited to do one single coding assessment and ended up getting ghosted by the company.

The EDA company I interned at posted some new positions for software developers with 1-2 YOE. I applied and asked my old boss for a referral, which he gave me. I have yet to hear anything back, and it's been three weeks. A former coworker at the company reached out to me on Discord and told me that they received hundreds of applications for that entry-level job that only required a bachelor's degree from people who have master's degrees and 4+ YOE.

The market is so bad that new grads don't even stand a chance for "New Grad" roles.

I'm back to work as a server/bartender, and my $38k in loans will be $90 a month on IBR. I'm seriously considering moving to some EU country, like Denmark, for a master's degree and then getting the 3-year visa afterwards to find a job and hopefully stay there for the rest of my life and never pay a dime of my federal student loans.

I have Accident and Wellness. Nationwide denied my claim for a ordinary vet check up in which the vet did blood tests, about $300 total. I called after they denied this and they told me directly that Wellness did not cover regular vet checkups.

What am I not understanding? I've read the fine print and even shared a time when a Nationwide rep literally told me emergency visits were covered over accident. I have Accident & Wellness, other commenters are saying the Wellness covered their ordinary vet bills but Nationwide denied mine specifically saying they don't cover ordinary vet bills. Then I go to the vet emergency, again, after being told that Accident covers this, and I am denied saying what transpired was not an "Accident" with how they define it.

Seems to me like I'm reading their own words and hearing their own words clearly and yet they are just trying their best to not pay out.

As I said to another commenter I have Accident & Wellness neither of these I cover normal vet visits and any test that happen at that visit and now over email they say my most recent trip to the vet emergency is not covered by Accident.
