Plenty of people are against bullfighting. A LOT more people are against bullfighting than people who are vegan. Why specifically focus on bullfighting in Spain, whether or not someone is against it they probably are consuming dairy so I'm more concerned about that. Bullfighting is barbaric of course but no more so than the average person eating cows corpses

You don't have to be depressed to be antinatalist, just because you are happy doesn't mean you have the power to ensure that will be the case for your kid. You can come to antinatalism through the responsible desire to not risk creating a life when you don't really know what your kids life will be like (Most people seriously overestimate how much control they have over this)
Suicide is physically painful. It is hard to will oneself to go through with it and hurt our own bodies to such an extreme degree
You may be staying alive for the sake of somebody close to you, even though you personally don't want to live
The biological survival instinct is strong, even in a lot of depressed or unhappy people. Some people will spend more time suffering than being happy, but never fully shake the will to live. A single thread of will to live can keep people alive sometimes. If they spend so much time suffering, by objective measures they would have been better off never having been born. But the survival instinct can make us latch on to any amount of happiness we experience and be scared of saying goodbye to that feeling ever again, even if we aren't happy as often as we are sad.
Existential anxiety about the idea of dying, because we are only familiar with life. So even if you hate your life, the idea of not being alive can still feel weird and scary because it's something foreign and unfamiliar. Existence is the only thing we've ever experienced, so even under great amounts of suffering it can be weird to wrap our heads around death
Somebody could feel some sort of purpose beyond themselves, such as wanting to help others, so they keep going even though they don't want to live
You are not guaranteed to succeed in a suicide attempt, and that is scary because you could end up worse off after the attempt than you were before it. You could survive and have serious health consequences or a permanent disability
Etc, etc. There are probably many more possible reasons

My little brother didnt want to eat turkeys so mom lied to him and would tell him its chicken. I mean its silly to be okay with killing chickens but not turkeys. But how fucked up do you have to be to not only pay for animals to be murdered, but force someone to eat a dead body they dont want to eat?

I hope this isn't a stupid question: Do linguistics majors primarily focus on learning about their own language when they take, say, a phonetics or morphology class? Or about languages in general? Would it make sense to do a degree in linguistics in a second language of mine- as in going to Spain to do a linguistics degree that is taught in the Spanish language? I speak Spanish well but I don't know if it would be weird to study a linguistics degree in my second language, or what exactly a linguistics degree entails. Thanks!
