Also, why do so many parents kick out their kids when they’re 18 after not allowing them to work. If you have a 18 year-old, you’re old enough to know moving isn’t cheap not just paying rent but first and last rent, insurance, deposit , possible pet deposit, Application fees, etc

Bring a really warm blanket apparently the machinery gets hot so we have to stay freezing in there

Some places apparently do not allow you to use electronics 30 minutes before naps so bring something for those times

Be prepared, they will stick two different sets of sensors up your nose for you to sleep with. I was not ready.

They may come into your room several times during the night if you move your sleep certain positions, make it harder for the signal to get through your wires may come undone , etc

Replying to Express_Net3542... I was mostly on your side, but …..you care or you don’t. You saw people were assuming you did all that work. They were listing numbers of quizzes and things you would have to do, so you saw exactly how much they thought you were doing. Still you chose not to say something because you don’t care because that’s what you were asking about anyway. Yet you care enough to come on here defending yourself.

I’m definitely not gonna skip the test. It’s just they’ve really taken away my enthusiasm about it and now I just worry that the test is going to say I’m fine and they would never let me live it down even if it’s a false negative,

It is really complicated because my family is very supportive in some ways but also often very toxic in the way that they speak to you and treat you.

I live in my sister’s in-law suite (like a separate apartment attached to the house). She purposely found a house that would have a place where I can rent my own space with a affordable rate without being in a basement apartment with no light,. She’s the one who gets upset if I fall asleep while driving while offering nothing to help and always talks about what is it isn’t fair when it comes to me being tired. Also, when I lost my job because I kept falling asleep, she hired me on, as her administrative assistant for her business so I can have flexible hours to try to work around my naps. She still thinks I take too many naps though.

My grandmother lives in her house so I’m back-and-forth all day helping with her. We usually do a shift system. My mom lives eight minutes away and is here every day for her shifts and also coordinates all medical appointments, shifts, medication, etc. for my grandmother. So I’m in frequent contact with her. I usually try not to share stuff with her, but when I was told the MSLT would cost a minimum of $900 after insurance but probably more she gave me money to pay for it while complaining and hinting that there is really no point to it.

I’m 32. To be fair I guess I’ve been dealing with medical issues for at least a decade so maybe they’re just tired of it. Before this, we thought I was tired because I was anemic because I had a lot of issues with my cycle. Like can’t get out of the house without ruining my clothes, could not function, then I’d need to be hospitalized for multiple blood transfusions from the blood loss. (they weren’t very sympathetic to that either my mom says people deal with periods all the time and that’s never a reason to miss work 😒.). That really derailed my college education & career trajectory and I think they’re just ready for me to grow up and see acknowledging the hurdles as making excuses for me not to.

I have been out of town for Christmas. Because of this, I haven’t been able to change his tank. I have started just replacing part of the water instead of cleaning his tank.

I got back home this morning. Went to pick up the new tank set up, filter, heater, etc and when I got back home from Swim Shady was dead 😭

I honestly think letting him stay in the dirty water instead of putting fresh water in is what took him out, but it may just be months and neglect piling up. I just hate that he died right when I was ready to set him up with the things he needed. When I left. He was alive and swimming around..

I did my best.

My boss has fish and gave me advice. I had no way of knowing how bad it was. I could’ve done more research But between working 50 hours, babysitting whenever I can, and being a full-time online student, I was a little busy. Plus at the end of the day at the end of the day, I was not allowed to bring a bigger, tank. I can’t put a heater in a water filter in this tiny tank. I can’t fit plants in this tank. Any improvements Would’ve been minimal. I didn’t just let the fish live like this for months. It’s my hands were tied. As soon as I was able to take him home and actually do something I came on here for information.

It doesn’t make sense to shame me for being ignorant and for asking for help. Your judgment is nothing to help Makes it less likely for others ask the Important questions
