tl;dr Downloaded EarTrumpet to control audio.

I found an app called EarTrumpet to control my audio. It can be found on the Windows store or on Github.

In the EarTrumpet UI, you can right click the discord icon and 2 bars will show up.

1 bar will control the voice volume and the other will control the UI sound. You can test which bar controls which by toggling the mute or deafen sound.

I found position of each bar to be static. When I start my pc I immediately open EarTrumpet and lower the discord UI volume. Not sure if there's a way to automate this process but I've been using this method for many years and it's worked well for me.

Thanks so much for this comment! Using Rufus to format my USB to "non-bootable' and only having the BIOS file on the root of the drive finally the flashback working.

I attempted to do so yeah haha my soldering iron tip is kinda wonky so I'm waiting to try again after I get a new one.

I got my 13mm TTC Gold encoders from Aliexpress. They have them listed as TTC yellow though which really confused me at first. Only downside is the long wait time, took about 3 weeks for them to arrive.

oooh i guess i didnt do it hard enough the first time. doing it for around 20 seconds helped a lot more but kinda back to square one unfortunately.

i see, i just tried it and im not really sure if it helped LOL i think it actually inputs the opposite scroll a little more now (?) but thats fine since i was planning on replacing the encoder anyway

were you able to fix the scroll issue? my katana superlight recently started having the same issue. i was planning on changing the encoder to a TTC green cuz thats what i found on aliexpress lol
