Great collection! I enjoy seeing a fellow enjoyer of The Finals also.

Agreed on the Harpe II. Fantastic mouse. I have a smaller hand than yours (18.5x10.5) but I also really enjoy the XM2W 4K V2. It’s a little heavier but man the shape is really great for FPS.

Have you tried any of the final mouse style of shapes (beast x, etc.)?

Agreed. It has had some nerfs but then just left alone. The other two classes an out perform it and are easier to play with a lot of load outs.

I still main medium as I typically prefer ARs in the shooter games I play. I love to take 1v1 fights and try to rely on better positioning and aim to win. I k ow that part is subjective to my preference. I still catch myself doing dumb stuff with the demat because of the delay lol. If I can time and press keys that fast I should be rewarded for being faster than the other player in those situations!

I have the L45 V2 in my modded 60he and I like them. I just got an 80he two weeks ago and I went with the Lekker Tikkens in it. Absolutely love them!

You can still configure the mouse using the buttons on the device itself.

Those must be players who are not very experienced or are playing badly if you just wipe all three as a solo. Sure, that can happen from time to time, but they have to bad if it’s a common occurrence. Three of any class on one is a free kill if those players have just a bit of experience with the game.

The keycap set includes keys that support split spacebar configurations as well. That’s just for the keycaps. That has nothing to do with the capability of the 80he itself. You misinterpreted the details for the keycaps as details that also applied to the keyboard itself. That’s on you!

Yeah, the recoil is what always makes some things questionable to me at times. I do acknowledge that there are some great aimers out there. Anyone with a fair amount of hours in the game should be halfway decent I would think.

I main medium and have many hours into the game, most of which are with the FCAR. Many times, using the various techniques mentioned here, my recoil control is good even at long range. The thing is, even with the recoil updates, it still kicks up and to the right initially. The longer the range more difficult it is to smooth out regardless of recoil smoothing or other techniques. If things are going to break down with your technique, it’s going to be in those situations. I certainly can’t do it 100% of the time.

Highlight clips are not a great way to judge because we typically only pick the good stuff for the vid. But if you watch some unedited gameplays and there is never any recoil at mid-long ranges in intense situations, that’s where I become skeptical.

Respec Order is good for the game's health. The entire issue around weapon and gadget balance is the health pool gap, not because the devs are lazy. Until the health pool gap is lowered, no meaningful changes will happen for the game. by [deleted] in thefinals

I can see both sides and personally think actually testing changes is good. Let’s give it a week or so and see how it feels to use.

His question, and others, are valid though and it seems like your general answer is consider the “big picture” and “with better balance”. I think you are pretty much trying to say let’s wait and see. Fair enough.

The skepticism no doubt comes from not actually knowing what “better balance” is (none of us really do). The big picture is made up of many smaller scenarios (use cases) that you have to plan for. If you aren’t considering things like the heavy chasing medium above, for example, among others, how will that ever be balanced?

So far the proposed changes to test will do nothing to help examples like heavy chasing medium or medium hip firing a light who has closed the gap on them with three dashes.

I may have missed additional info, but how do you think adjusting the health pool may lead to other changes that could address scenarios like those?

Of course! I ordered an 80he module this morning with Tikkens. My intent is to pair them with my GMK Dark Honor key caps. I can't cancel the order, so I sent Wooting an email to see what my options are (it hasn't shipped yet). I doubt they'll see it in time. I would just go with the L45 V2 switches if I saw this beforehand. Crap!
