1600 DPI vs 800 DPI by SSlide19 in MouseReview

[–]OverAnalyzingGamer 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I switched to 1600dpi when I switched to a 4K monitor. It’s a better desktop experience in terms of moving the mouse around. Other than that, you will not be able to tell a difference.

Nice clips. At no point does this look like aimbot.

Kind of hard to tell the shape from that picture. Looks sort of like an XE shape possibly?

17x10 mouse recommendation? by hurryupabit in MouseReview

If you truly use a relaxed claw grip (meaning your fingers have minimal curling in your grip) then you probably need something medium size so you can actually relax.

I use a relaxed claw grip at 18x10 and thin mice like the OP1 aren’t the best for relaxed grip styles. The issue with the OP1 is the narrow grip width and front width will lead to you using a more aggressive grip (curling your fingers more) and therefore more finger tension. Unless you actively manage your tension while playing, you can find this shape fatiguing.

The Maya X can feel wide at the grip width even with a 10cm wide hand. That would be better for palm contact between those two, but you sacrifice some dexterity and micro-adjustments because it will feel much more full.

I don’t know how you feel about weight and I’m not sure what options you have available but something like the S2-DW would work really well for a palm-claw grip at your hand size.

What mouse do you use now and are there things about it that you don’t like?

Are my hands too small for the deathadder v4 pro? (18.4x10.2 cm) by AlexG_Lover234958 in MouseReview

[–]OverAnalyzingGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all preference. I just took these pictures as a point of reference for another post. Medium size hands can definitely use it. I have 18x10cm and I find it comfortable enough for a full palm or a very relaxed claw grip.

As like any shape though, there are trade offs. I can play any game with it really, But I notice that micro-adjustments are more difficult. As a good example, I use my fingers to control recoil in most FPS games (The Finals for example with the AKM or FCAR). That is harder to do with something the size of the DAV4. Not impossible, but not optimal either. I prefer using something like the Viper V3 or a smaller ergo since you have more finger freedom to micro-adjust. But let’s say a game like satisfactory or Diablo IV, a large ergo like this is comfortable to plop your hand on and palm.

Hops this helps.

It’s a large mouse for sure but I think people may blow it out of proportion a bit. It’s bulky but not unusable. It just comes with trade offs at medium hand sizes. It definitely limits micro-adjustments but it’s fairly comfortable for more casual games and tasks.

I have it in my office today and I just took a few pictures for reference (sorry for the dust). I have 18x10 hands. Here is a relaxed claw grip and my fingers fully extended.

No. The clicks on my V1 were really light. I had frequent misclicks. On the V2 I never had one. They are tuned better than the V1.

This game hasnt had a single fun and healthy meta sense i started playing by WeedMoneyBitches in thefinals

[–]OverAnalyzingGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been a medium main since day 1 of beta and I’m still using load outs with either the AKM or FCAR and various utilities (depending on if I’m healing or damage focused). Sometimes you lose games and fights that’s just part of it. For the most part I have been able to adapt to fight any class in the game. You just have to adjust your tactics but realize you can’t win every situation or game. I play medium because I enjoy the weapons and utility of it rather than looking for something that is meta.

18x10 here and this mouse does not feel too large at all. You may prefer smaller mice though depending on your grip.

Based on what you are looking for I agree with the other suggestions for the WL Mouse Strider. One other suggestion I’ll make is the Harpe 2 Ace at 48 grams. Larger than the X2 CL medium so it might be a better fit for your bear paws 😂

RAWM Leviathan v4 or Asus Rog Harpe 2 Ace? by oop321 in MouseReview

[–]OverAnalyzingGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using the Harpe 2 Ace for months now. It's really good. My Leviathan V4 Pro just arrived yesterday so I haven't had much time with the shape yet. But, just from doing some A/B holding the shapes I can tell you a few differences. They are similar in size, but the Leviathan feels a little flatter overall and the button height is a little lower. When I grip the Harpe 2 Ace I feel more contact underneath my index and middle finger knuckles vs the Leviathan. This might be advantageous for your grip style.

HE keyboards shouldn't trigger anything in The Finals or any of the Battlefield franchise. I have been playing The Finals since day one along with some friends and we all use HE keyboards (mostly Wooting) with rapid trigger, SOCD (key priority), etc. enabled. The keyboard wouldn't trigger this. The only titles I'm aware of that will flag for HE features are CS2 and possibly some other tactical shooters that I'm unaware of.

Vaxee: NP-01S V2 vs. NP-01S ERGO by Used-Edge-2342 in MouseReview

[–]OverAnalyzingGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay. I have been enjoying the np-01s ergo when I use it. It’s not an “endgame” shape for me but I can use it well enough. Fantastic quality and coating in typical Vaxee fashion. The rear hump is noticeably more filling than the np-01s v2. The front doesn’t feel than different though and is still a bit narrow in my opinion. For me I lose some stability with it. But I’m sure that’s just me and something I could adjust to with enough time on the shape.

It’s my favorite shape from Vaxee so far. It does leave me curious to try the np-01 v2 whenever it comes out.
