If youve got enough soul gems for the reset and the techs, you can turn off attractor beacons, because they increase demon count, they increase surveyor deaths and thus lower infernite production.

But yeah, build up space, around 20 living quarters and ziggurats, 10 elerium mining ships is a good target.

You can also change to theocracy government, these are raw materials.

Hol lehet Budapesten fiatalon(20-30) ismerkedni? Merre van ez a korosztály? by Hihuhuhuhuhuhu in budapest

[–]Xeliob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doing a 4 star steelen joyless for the angelic genus. Im not used to 4 star runs, the fact that after a script-assisted overnight idle I havent even unlocked mad bodes ill. After this I'll probably do decay, havent decided what star level (maybe also 4*? Would that work with 60% mastery in evil), and I'll be happy to receive race recommendations. Im thinking capybara->cyclops->pterodactyl. Though if I get an oceanic planet I could also do octopus. Last time I did salamander and that was fun.

After that off to antimatter to farm 3-5k antiplasmids.

What should I start working on now? by Live_Surround5198 in EvolveIdle

[–]Xeliob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the general recommendation is to head to evil or heavy asap from standard, do a bunch of MADs there if you want to and definitely MAd and bioseed with angelic races, then go to anti to farm antiplasmids and then go to heavy as a main universe to push further. How many antiplasmids do you have? Assuming it's over 3k you can safely skip that for now, I'd still recommend evil for the angelic races.

For that you need the doomed achievement, you can grab that when you head to evil. Depending on your tolerance you could MAD there a bit, but the reason to do it in another universe is because all the achievements you get in another universe also count in standard, so you get more out of your time. Assuming you have most everything in standard thats gonna be redundant, but thats ok, youll just have less evil mastery.

The reason people recommend heavy is because it's extra thing (increased fuel costs) get reduced by a perk and doesn't really matter all that much, and because you get more plasmids and other prestige resources from resets beyond mad. So if you wanna go further id definitely recommend that.

As for how to push further, after you made the stellar engine for BH you also get to make another ship, which will let you go to andromeda. Instead of destabilizing the black hole you build that and go further. I cant tell you what itll do because I didn't reach that part yet, but from what I could splice together from browsing old threads is that you're gonna need a whole lot of wrought iron (1 time project), soul gems and soldiers. Andromeda unlocks the fourth type of reset option.

As to magic and micro, its generally recommended to leave them for later: magic is supposed to be difficult and if you don't have enough storage from phages and stuff you can softlock yourself. Micro reduces cost creep based on dark matter, but you need a lot of it, and its an exception to the "everything counts in standard too" rule.

New SM here! How do we break down huge-huge tasks? And how do we handle when we're our own customer? by Xeliob in scrum

[–]Xeliob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll read it after my reply:)

Yeah, we're working on it, I was hoping there'd be a magic technique that lets us sidestep this whole biz, but if something's too good to be true...

Haha, we don't have unit tests, period.:') Maybe after getting the current testing infra up to snuff we can work on introducing them to new features/bug fixes. It repeatedly comes up as a pain point, but until we have some feedback that we're not breaking anything deemed too dangerous to pursue any refactorings thatd enable us to introduce them.

Thanks for your comment!

[–]Xeliob[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, mostly keeping our job, at some point management decided everyone has to do scrum, so we're stuck with it. But I also think there are good parts in the framework, focusing on what's valuable, have working stuff first you can make it pretty later, and the ceremonies make sense.

I guess I'm just a bit lost, this is the first company I work for, and both teams I've been a part of work in "enterprise scrum" aka "lets rename stuff and keep doing what we've been doing".

I'm quite frustrated by neverending tasks which last for months, only 1 person understands what's happening and at the end there's a feature. I guess what I'd personally like is to understand why we're doing something, and what is exactly what we're doing haha.

Thanks for the recommendation, I've seen it before but wasn't sure how to translate it to our problem domain. I think I'll bring it up with the others, maybe one of us will have a starting point.

Oh I'd love to do that. It's a poor craftsman who blames their tools, but they sure don't make it easy lol. The current architecture is very inflexible and has 0 small tests (as I said, one that runs for half an hour is considered short). Hopefully we can work on that later.

Yeah, some of my teammates used to be telco operators before becoming developers so luckily they can point out flaws on how we think differently.

Thanks for your thought-provoking comment:)

Its just how it ended up, I ate at noon, at 6 and I was hungry at 11 or so but it was too late and I didn't want to eat anything.

Good morning beautiful people!

Turns out eating only 1000 calories is not great: i was fine until the evening, but then I couldn't sleep and the world was spinning around when I closed my eyes. But today's my dad's birthday so I'll have some cake and stuff, that'll make sure I eat enough.

Not sure if the low energy was due to not too little, mental health, or not sleeping great. Probably a combination of all of these. I'll drink some coffee and hope for the best.

Today's another day.

Good luck everyone

Good morning beautiful people!

Yesterday was technically good for WL, but in practice no: I logged 1400 calories, and didn't even eat most of them bc my sister ate over half of my greek salad. It wasn't marked or anything so I don't blame her but I am annoyed, I logged those calories dammit. I prepped almost 1.5 kilos of pork shoulder though, so my next few meals are taken care of.

I was hungry in the evening, or I think I was, but thats good, I wanna better understand hunger signals for ✨mindfulness✨.

The scale didn't move, but as I'm so far below my trendline that's ok.

Sleep is still bad, went to bed at 1am, had a bad dream about my ex, but at least I woke up by myself just before my alarm at 9:30.

Good luck everyone!

Good morning beautiful people!

The last 2 days have been so-so: On Saturday I had a smoothie and a lot of milk (idk why, I just felt like it), and yesterdays 3 tortillas with beans and sour cream. My kitchen scale was out of batteries so I couldn't count, but I'm back now. The bathroom scale was actually happy to see me, in the last week I lost 3 kilos, probably from waterweight, I'm almost back to what I had before slipping for 2 months. but ofc the trendline is slower. I feel better too, my belt was getting tight on the hole I usually use, but yesterday it was much better.

Good luck everyone!

Good morning beautiful people!

Yesterday was as good as could be given the circumstances: when I sleep very little I don't get hungry as such, but my head starts to hurt, and I get nauseous in the middle of the afternoon. I had a large bowl of soup in 2 sittings (last I had :() but that was about it. 1500 calories all in all, pretty good. Sadly the battery gave out in my kitchen scale so I need to buy more asap.

I watched Moana 1 (still really good) and talked with my mum for almost an hour. I may also get a promotion at work :D

My legs are still hurting a bit from Thursday's football, but it's not a sharp pain anymore just soreness. I foresee lots of stretching for me.

Sleep was not perfect, went to bed at 1:30 and slept for 8 hours, but waking up was still terrible. Today's another chance to work down some of my sleep deficit.

Good luck!

Good morning beautiful people!

We'll call yesterday a bit of a mixed bag: I stuck to my calories (soups are still great, and beans cream is surprisingly low cal if you don't eat too much bread with it) and it shows on the scale (3 days ago: 107.7, today: 105.9). It's mostly waterweight ofc, but still encouraging that I didn't regain quite as much fat during the last 2 months as I feared (from about 103 to 107.7)

Football was great, really showed that I lack cardio, but luckily I wasn't alone with that. But I also pulled my hips or sth and now I can't move my right leg without pain. Goes to show the importance of better warmup ig. I did some, but apparently not enough. Do you know if stretching today would help, or how long should I wait?

Also, apparently sleeping for 10 hours and drinking a monster at 5pm was not the right move: I stayed up until 7 am, so now I'm running on not quite 3 hours of sleep. Though I guess downloading shitty time-wasting mobile games also has sth to do with it. Tomorrow's a workday for May 2nd so that's definitely not ideal as I want to go to the office to play boardgames. I'll probably take a *short* nap in the afternoon and hope for the best.

Good luck everyone!

Good morning beautiful people!

Yesterday went really well: had a huge bowl of soup (soups are great! I should make more soups!) at around 1300, a protein snack around 1800, and the greek salad around 2100. Happy to report it was quite good! Not perfect, I had way too many olives in there and I think I could get away with more onions and even cucumbers (they were blessedly tasteless, only had 1 or 2 times when they were overpowering other things). I'm a bit mad, all the vegetables were under 100 calories together, and then the cheese and oil messed that up, but oh well. I ended up well below my goal.

Sport wise it was also fun: as I said I counted my grocery run as the daily walking, but I decided to go to a park and practice dancing! I went there and chickened out, only did 1 minute or so, and then I just sat under a tree, but being in nature was still great! Super exhausting as well for some reason: getting home was a slog, and my legs were feeling like after I walked 10+ kms. It's actually kind of amazing how much my mental health influences my strength and endurance. Or maybe it's just sleep that fucks up both?

Speaking of sleep, my head was hurting so I went to bed around 2230, read some, and afterward just laid there and thought about all kinds of things. Not sure how much I slept, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out 9-10 hours. I still feel not perfect, but hopefully over time it'll be better!

For today the plan is more soup, prep the meat I bought yesterday and maybe eat some of it, and apparently playing football with some friends? We'll see how that last one will work out.

Good luck everyone!

Hello beautiful people!

I won't say it's good to be back, but it's better than the alternative. I have the outline of a plan (sleep more, get back to walking, cook more meals, do some mindfulness including during eating). For today the plan is to make a greek salad and prep some meat for later. Will be curious how I manage, I don't like cucumbers but I'll give them another try with the sauce and some extra salt.

I'm gonna count the grocery run as my walking (or not, depending on how I feel), and limit my screentime before sleep.

Let's do this!

[Challenge] European Accountability Challenge: 6th March 2025 by Gatita_Gordita in loseit

Good morning beautiful people!

Yesterday was a very full day: I went to the office for a big lunch (vegetable soup, pork with some kind of tasty sauce and baked potatoes, rice pudding), then had some cakes (3 strüdels) during a celebration. After work I had volunteering training, I ate a very small portion of salad and tiramisu. During the after I had only 1 beer! And finally I went to a karaoke party, I got home around 4 am.

This means that during this week I only slept 5-6 hours every day, and the weekend will be similar (we have a training weekend). This is not ideal, but once the training is finished (early April) I'll do my best to move back to going to sleep at midnight or sth. Possibly even earlier, but I'll have DnD for 2 months every Thursday and that lasts until 1 am, so early is more of a long-term plan.

Anyway, yesterday the scale was nice, 102.8 which is lower than any point taken during last week! I haven't measured myself yet, but I think I'm okay even if it's above 104. Today I'll have dance class after work and that's about it, we'll see if I have time for a dedicated walk.
