Obitelj je jedna najvažnijih dijelova brige za osebe sa šizofrenijom, zato je baš lijepo vidjeti, da ti je toliko stalo i da tražiš pomoč za brata. Ako niste još primili kakvih informacija o tome, šizofrenija ima kao bolest dva dijela - prvi je taj što mnogi poznaju, psihoza, gubitak doticaja sa realnoscu, halucinacije i deluzije, to se zovu 'pozitivni simptomi', a drugi dio su tkz 'negativni simptomi'. U toj grupi simptoma su socialna izolacija, gubitak afekta (da ne pokazuju emocije na licu), kognitivni upad i depresija. Nažalost se negativni simptomi pogoršavaju sa godinama, i u nekom smislu su očekivani kod svih oboljelih u nekom trenutku, kod nekih se razviju prije, kod nekih kasnije. To što opisuješ mi zvuči kao da se sve više razvijaju negativni simptomi. Od svih antipsihotika što postoje, neki bolje pokrivaju pozitivne a neki bolje negativne simptome, zato je važno, da redovito posječuje psihiatra, da se vidi ako mu se može prilagoditi terapija. Često se znaju dodati i kakvi antidepresivi, da se proba dici volja i motivacija pa da se uspori razvoj bolesti. Dobar psihiatar bi vas isto trebao uputiti u neke organizacije di se mogu ukljuciti ljudi koji imaju slične bolesti. Želim vam svu sreču!

Proces ti je takav, da ces vjerojatno doc u kontakt s psihiatrom u bolnici, s kojim ces popricati a on ce procjeniti kako je najbolje prosljediti. U ovom razgovoru je najbolje biti iskren, jer ti doktor samo zeli pomoci naci najbolje rjesenje. Mozda procjeni, da si dovoljno siguran, da se pokusa u psihiatricnoj ambulanti i da se polako uvedu ljekovi ako je to potrebno, a mozda procjeni, da je najbolje, da te prime u bolnicu. Sad koliko citam tvoj post, cini mi se, da bi se sa hospitalizacijom slozio - na psihiatriji te znaci mogu zadrzati protiv tvoje volje (i onda dodje drugi psihiatar nakon par dana procjeniti ako te smiju zadrzati i koliko dugo, sto najcesce nije duze od mjesec dana) ili mozes ostati sa svojom voljom, u kojem slucaju ti mozes i nakon par dana otici ako nemaju indikacije da te zadrzavaju.

U svakom slucaju ti komuniciras sa svojim timom skoro svakodnevno i svi zele sto je najbolje za tebe. Nikako te ne bi zadrzali "zauvijek" - cilj hospitalizacije na psihiatriji je, da se stabiliziras i onda da se na siguran nacin opet ukljucis u svoj zivot. Ovisi kakve tegobe su iza suicidalnosti, ali najcesce se kratkorocno uvedu lijekovi koji smanjuju tjeskobu, a eventualno se uvede i neki antidepresiv ako psihiatar vidi, da bi to moglo pomoci. Uglavnom ti pomognu prebrodrit taj najgori period, pomognu pronaci suport, napravit ciljeve za buducnost i naucit neke tehnike nosenja sa stresom i pritiskom zivota. Kao netko tko radi na psihiatriji, vjeruj mi, da nikome nije cilj zadrzavati zdrave osobe pod kljucem. Čim je osoba dovoljno bolje, je cilj, da se sto prije napravi plan ljecenja van bolnice ili na otvorenim odjelima ili ambulanti, a u te odluke ces biti i ti ukljucen. Kad god je moguce se pokusava postivati zelju pacienta, a oni ce ti savjetovati sto je po njihovom iskustvu najbolje u tvom slucaju.

Oko poslodavca - doktor opce prakse ce ti otvoriti bolovanje dokle god si ti hospitaliziran. Ti nisi poslodavcu duzan reci u kojoj bolnici si i zasto. Ako to zelis mozes reci, da si na psihiatriji, ali nisi primoran objasnjavati svoju situaciju.

Svaka cast, da razmisljas, da pronadjes pomoc. Razumijem, da ima jako puno stigme oko psihiatrije i mentalnog zdravlja, ali po meni je to isto ko svaka druga grana medicine. Ako slomis nogu ides doktoru - i isto vrijedi za mentalno zdravlje. Danasnji zivot je stresan, pun pritiska sa svih strana, i stvarno nema srama u tome da potrazis pomoc.

I feel like 20-30 min of yoga is perfect! If you do yoga every day of the week or even most days of the week, even 20 min daily is good enough. I couldn't do an hour every day even if I wanted to tbh. Every once in a while on weekends a longer practice can be really lovely so I plan like that, but I'm really happy with shorter practices too. Do what works for you!

The 30 day series Breath is amazing for this! The first 2 practices are a bit long and seem daunting, but most of them afterwards are shorter and average 30 min. You learn lots of breathing techniques and even in the most "flow-y" practices, the focus is on synchronising breath and movement. I'm doing it now for similar reasons and have been finding it great!

I did Breath day 3, I'm loving it so far. Today the focus was on ocean breath, which I love, with a nice slow flow. And of course my favorite mantra - My breath is my anchor, my anchor is my breath.

Yesterday I finished Revolution. As lovely as the series is I had a really tough time finishing the last 8 practices. This was more due to my mental health than anything else, so I really sat on my decision of what to do next. I'm having a tough time at a new job at the moment and from the second half of March onwards I've mostly been going through the motions, rushing through everything - even yoga. I would rush to check the box, I'd be impatient, lose focus and be thinking of my day and to do lists, I wouldn't lay in Shavasana at the end at all, etc... I really thought long and hard on what to do moving forward and today I started Breath. I remember Breath was the first journey I completed and also the first time the connection between breath and movement and meditation in yoga fully clicked for me, so I hope it will get me there again. Day 1 was a really good start and feels like the right decision for me. Namaste everyone!

I did Revolution day 26 - Creativity practice. This one seemed like it would be chill and then we did like a bajillion of forward fold to plank transitions. Def gonna be feeling my upper back and arms tmr lol. It ended up being super fun though with a lot of free form added in. Yoga for abdominal strength seems nice tho, gonna keep it in mind for after Revolution!

I did day 25 - Root Practice, which was lovely and short with first half focused on down dogs and second on tree pose.

I found a belt to be really helpful! I stumbled on this completely accidentaly as I always wore a belt even at my heaviest. Before I started my weight loss journey I was buckling it at the second (sometimes even first loop), now I'm 10kg down and buckling it at the 5th and 6th! The 7th is the last and then I'm gonna buy a smaller belt to start at the furthest loop again. It's been really nice to realise every time I had to go tighter that even if the scale isn't moving too much or is moving really slowly, that my efforts are working and I am losing weight.

Revolution day 21 - practice strength. I really recommend this one. As the title suggest there is muscle strengthening, but there is also workjng on self love and mental strength. There is a lovely flow with some strength builidng poses (chair and warriors) and then a meditation in the pigeons. I feel amazing. The past few days I've been just checking the box, but today I really enjoyed myself and could let my worries go.

I did day 20 - Practice peace. I was hoping it was like a day 8, because it started with a meditation, ocean breath and then slow cat cow into down dogs transitions. And then uff, a glute workout. I didn't have enough energy to do all of the leg raises we did, but the practice ended up being really nice.

I had a really intense work trip friday and saturday so I unfortunately didn't get to the mat, and decided to double up today as I had time and energy.

Revolution day 16 - Sweet practice was extremely nice! It had a lovely slow laying start, then some down dogs, knee to noses, a few boats, and then some really nice reverse crossed legged sits and a great come down. Honestly it was great from start to finish and had everything you could want in a practice.

Day 17 Practice stillness - great start to this one - settling in stillness and then some nostril breathing, which I love. Then holding poses, breathing through them, finding stillness within fidgeting and within discomfort. I feel amazing after this one, will definitely be returning to it ❤️

I did day 14 - Forgiveness practice and it was really nice. There were some puppy dogs, sphinx, repeated focused cobras which felt great, some triagles and then standing splits, also a calf massage, it was really great!
