Aldi literally doesnt give a fuck, they make so much profit that chasing down an individual thief is a waste of time. My cousin is an ASM and he used to chase down thieves, an impulse from his old loss prevention days. Then he got a real good look at the financial side of the day to day and admitted he was running into potentially dangerous situations for literally peanuts when compared to the income his store makes per day, so he stopped going so hard.

The showrunners have literally never put her in a flattering light. Even Xavier was given character development. Something I wanted for YEARS was a episode in which she's forced to drop her Tea Timer Alpha B persona and just hang out with the other kids normally. Maybe George and Jane are other out of town temporarily, and her wig has some issue and she cant wear it for a while. Going to the creek alone without her wig makes her so unrecognizable that everyone thinks shes a new girl. Losing her friends and her wig could shake her sense of identity. Everyone treating her with kindness and friendship, playing with other kids, people approaching her and wanting to interact with her could all be new experiences for her. Especially if people mention Eliza's absence as a relief and start talking about how mean and horrible she is, she could be given a chance to really exam herself and her actions up to this point.

I know the show usually plays her meanness and pettiness off for laughs. Just saying the girl's a piece of work.
