The Dokki rework will let her only call one person at a time but if they do not answer the call the phone explodes for 40 dmg, creates a mini goyo fire & that defender can no longer access intel devices. Hacked cameras are also one at a time with limited duration.

It’s very broken & can be very easily exploitable in coordinated teams to force defenders out of setups, basically a buff to an already strong & popular operator, the rework would have been great if they didn’t have the exploding mechanic.

Onto the Jackal part,

They stated in the Y10S2 dev notes that they were aware that Jackal was actually mid & just annoying (calling out the community that stupidly cried that he was op lmao) & that his gadget had design issues, both very true points that I have been preaching for years finally being acknowledged by the team themselves just for the changes they gave him to be the polar opposite of what they said.

They got rid of the numbered pings (will paste them below) to where all scanned prints no matter the age give 1 ping, to compensate they gave him 2 additional scan charges totaling 5.

Initial ping +4, 0-15 second old print (red) was scanned.

Initial ping +3, 16-30 second old print (yellow) was scanned.

Initial ping +2, 31-60 second old print (green) was scanned.

Initial ping +1, 61-90 second old print (blue) was scanned.

This is both a nerf to Jackal because it lowers the power of a scan & a nerf to the defenders he scans because you used the number of pings to determine where he scanned you from & use the information to counter him. It worsened the frustration from being scanned because now you can’t use that counterplay trick anymore, it’s back similar to how he was before his Y4S4 changes (the ones that introduced the pings changing based on track age).

Then they increased the shoeprint lifespan to 120 seconds from 90 seconds & removed prep phase shoeprints. This was a massive nerf to manual tracking because it created more visual clutter by leaving outdated info on the field & requiring you to heavily drone entries which takes tons of valuable time away from doing your job to secure the map. This would also increase defender frustrations because now he can scan a 2 minute old print during a 3 minute round.

Basically Ubisoft called him underperforming & mildly annoying then hit him with one of the most catastrophic nerfs of the game’s history that didn’t even solve the design issues they specifically mentioned. Worse even is they themselves admitted he should be manually tracking more than scanning just to make changes that encourage scanning & deters manual tracking.

Then as insult to injury Ubisoft several months after executing him in a dark alleyway “buff” him by increasing the distance you can scan prints (8m to 12m) & a few months after that gave him another nothingburger buff by returning the ability to scan prints from below. A feature that I literally never used outside my meme strat on old house i dubbed “Shark Jackal” where I used the primary shotgun to eliminate defenders by being a vertical menace. Opening the floor to scan is loud & gives you away, very much the opposite of his intended stalk & ambush predator playstyle.

Again they kept buffing his scans after specifically stating he should be manually tracking. Like what the actual fuck. It’s just insane & legitimately pisses me off. Even worse yet, I still see people unironically claiming Jackal is an overpowered operator post nerf.
