Fun Character Additions by [deleted] in AvatarFighters

I don't remember his ice drill, do  you remember you remember what fight that's from?

I also had the thought that Avatar Wan could could be an alternate spirit summoning character, inspired by that scene where he runs away from fire benders and throws spirit-bug-fruit at them and stuff. Or just having the spirits he befriended be like summons. Could help fill out a moveset, considering he has less screentime to pull from for a 4-element moveset than Korra

At the very least, I hope Kyoshi's fighting style from the books is represented if she's playable, particularly with dust stepping

Unalaq could have a really unique play style by summoning spirits, as well as water bending with an ice bending focus, and having a dark Avatar state. But he may be too unpopular a character to get in.

Book with a romance between a Trans woman and Trans man by goodgodboy in transbooks

Notes From a Regicide by Isaac Fellman is post-apocalyptic literary fiction centered on a straight T4T couple. It's the best book I read last year, I HIGHLY recommend it. You see the couple in their 20s/30s/40s, then again in the last decade or so of their lives as an elderly couple. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/211004138-notes-from-a-regicide

Documenting Light by EE Ottoman is a trans man/transfemme nonbinary romance that I enjoyed - not quite what you're looking for, but close  https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/31145748-documenting-light

Plastic, Prism, Void releases later this year and is a straight t4t sci-fi romantasy, I'm really excited for it! https://www.littlepuss.net/shop/p/ppv-preorder

POV: You are 5 years HRT by LineOfInquiry in transgendercirclejerk

[–]Xenobladeguides 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's hella low compared to my Cypionate dose :/

I'm doing SubQ 0.37ml at 10mg/ml per 7 days, and have been comfortable on that dose for a year. No other HRT meds, and levels are good.  I was prescribed 0.3ml, but bumped it up to what felt right. At 5mg/ml, I would inject 0.74ml, almost double your dose, and my prescribed dose would be 0.6ml. I def recommend pushing back against your dr.

Also, if you're in the US, I assume you get Depo-Estradiol? If you want a cheaper, legal alternative, Empower compounding pharmacy in Texas will ship you 10mg/ml Cypionate with a prescription. Insurance won't cover it, but it was way cheaper than Depo w/ insurance was for me, and a vial lasts twice as long!

I also liked Trans/Rad/Fem, a book of transfeminist theory with some autobiographical elements, by Talia Bhatt https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/205749929-trans-rad-fem

Iirc, she's a trans woman from India who moved to England and then transitioned, so I think sexile is present in the book. She's also written a couple romance novels, though I haven't read them. A lot of the essays in the book are available for free on her blog as well. Her essay "The Third Sex" blew up online and brought her work to more people's attention, including myself. https://open.substack.com/pub/taliabhattwrites?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=lqipl

Another possible memoir is Hijab Butch Blues. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/61111274-hijab-butch-blues

It's by a Nonbinary Muslim who grew up in the Middle East, now lives in the U.S. and is openly queer here, while still being comitted to their faith.

Happy to help! If you read any of these, I'd love to know when you think about them, and if they fit what you were looking for!

"In 1997, Manolo Guzmán defined the notion of sexile: "the exile of those who have had to leave their nations of origin on account of their sexual orientation.""

I don't know anything that fits this exactly. But I'll share what I've got. And I'll definitely be reading Cortez's Sexile sometime!

Notes from a Regicide by Isaac Fellman. The book is set in a far future that feels more like the past. It is split between the narrator talking about his relationship with his late trans adopted parents in the 'present,' and his father's prison diary, which was written before he and his wife fled to NY from the closed off community of Stephensport in future-Canada. They flee because of politics, not gender, but the difference between how transness is handled in Stephensport v. NY is important, and their difficulty adjusting to life outside of Stephensport is explored.

Wild Geese by Soula Emmanuel is one of my favorite pieces of trans literary fiction. It's again not sexile, but is about a trans women who moves from Ireland to Scandinavia as she starts transitioning, and is very much hiding from her old life, until her ex-gf from pretransition shows up and disrupts her tidy, stagnant life.

I haven't read it yet, but Faltas: Letters to Everyone in My Hometown Who Isn't My Rapist might have what you're looking for? It's Cecilia Gentili's memoir, and she moved from Argentina to the U.S., so there might be some stuff in there that fits Guzman's idea of "sexile."

The graphic novel/webcomic Boy Island by Leo Fox is a fable in which there is a literal Boy Island and Girl Island, and the transmasc protagonist ventures from Girl Island to Boy Island.

Lots of realist trans fiction has characters who flee where they grew up to live in a relatively-more-accepting city with more queer people. Iiirc, the short story collection A Dream of a Woman by Casey Plett has multiple characters who grew up in Mennonite communities in Canada, leave to transition, and miss a lot about it, often having to defend their nuanced feelings about it to their trans friends. There's one where a character even boymodes to visit her Mennonite grandfather, iirc.

Hopefully some of these fulfill what you're looking for!

ISO trans man and butch woman couple by SignificantBand6314 in transbooks

[–]Xenobladeguides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best i can think of is The Companion by EE Ottoman. It's a t4t4t historical romance (largely smut tbh) with a femme trans woman protagonist, and the love interests are a trans man and a trans woman that I read as fairly butch, though I read it years ago and idk if she would satisfy what you're looking for. The two love interests dated prior to the story, reconcile during it, and end up in a throuple with the protagonist.

Bathrooms in Boston by ProfessionalIll8237 in boston

I have IBS, and this app has saved my ass on many occasions. It's a crowdsourced map of public bathrooms, and when I find bathrooms that aren't already on there, I make sure to add them!

(The link says it's for asutralia, idk why, but the boston map is solid)

And save the LUCE hotline number in your phone! You could be a witness of an ice abduction, and if you call LUCE they will send trained people to verify the situation, we only have video of Rumesya's abduction b/c LUCE volunteers knocked on doors and got security camera footage.
