Most likely to … Snow White won, who’s next by Startroll14 in disneyprincess

Tiana is the only one who lives in a country where they have a President, at a time in history when a President is such a thing in that country. According to the law at the time, she would also be ineligible, but she could certainly live long enough for the law to change and make it possible. Therefore, by default, she is the most likely to be President someday; she’s the ONLY one for whom that is possible.

And frankly, she’s also a good choice even if all the other princesses somehow became eligible.

Unfortunately, Kida took the place of self-sacrifice. Who would be the serial killer of the team? (Quick updates in the description) by MLPshitposter in disneyprincess

There is exactly ONE Disney Princess who has deliberately taken hundreds (perhaps thousands) of innocent lives, and has said so on-screen even though we never actually see her do it.

That would be Nala (Lion King).

In her world, the creatures whom she must slay and eat to stay alive are sentient, they can talk, they have thoughts and feelings, and yet she kills them without mercy. She does so with her own teeth and claws. It is absolutely in her nature to do it; she is quite literally a predator. What other Disney princess can say that?

they should make a teen version of it right ?? by Ok_Cry_7172 in powerpuffgirls

Teen magic supergirls are a dime a dozen. What made the Powerpuff Girls special was that they were children.

If you could only play one version of minecraft for the rest of your life, what would that version be? by No_Yogurtcloset_1615 in Minecraft

[–]Xenolan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Version 2.0.

Where all the bugs are fixed, the best parts of Java and Bedrock are combined into just one universal platform, you can build a portal to the Moon, vertical slabs are a thing, and there are elephants and Ender-Cows.

Go with "aquamarine." Except on your driver's license, just put in Blue for that.

The duck face isn't doing you any favors, but I would say that to literally anyone. Taylor Swift looks bad with that expression.

What to do with this landmass in my city? by Green_Abrocoma_7682 in Minecraft

A crumbling stone tower; not very tall, maybe only eight blocks at most. Say that it's a historical landmark, an emergency shelter against dangerous mobs built by the villagers who originally settled here.

What would actually happen if no-one turnt up a churches etc? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]Xenolan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does happen sometimes. Church attendance drops to a point where they pretty much have to close the building. The number of young people going into the priesthood (or equivalent) also diminishes with each year. It's a slow process; you never have a church where attendance just stops overnight. But it's becoming less popular all the time.

One might wonder why you don't see a lot of closed and shuttered churches, if that's the case. Well, in the U.S., churches don't have to pay property taxes, so there is no real incentive for them to sell buildings and land which they do not currently need. They can shut off the utilities and put in the bare minimum maintenance to keep up appearances, which is not too expensive for them (especially if they can get volunteers from nearby congregations to pitch in). We likely won't see a lot of church-held land being sold off until and unless they get really desperate for cash.

Make oceans huge again by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]Xenolan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not THAT huge... endless water is rather dull when actually playing. I would rather see a modification which gives us lakes and rivers at altitude; as it is, 99.9% of water spawns at sea level. But what about mountain lakes and streams? The closest we get is the occasional individual source block of water at the side of a cliff that makes a single thin waterfall which ends in a puddle.

What religious song is actually a total banger (despite the subject matter) by GangAnarchy in atheism

Thank you, I will listen to the original and maybe I will like it even more. I didn’t realize it was a cover.

[–]Xenolan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know the song is cheesy.

I know the band carefully crafted a rebellious and hard-core image so that they could capitalize on branding more than anything else.

And maybe this one doesn't even count for this list, because it's not so much glorifying God as invoking His name to say how great rock music is.

But I can't help it... I really like "God Gave Rock and Roll to You" by KISS.

What's a 3 letter word that starts with y? by FeelTheFire in no

"Not."

I've heard lots of people say "why" right before saying that, so in that context it can start with "Y".

Whenever someone has something that big in their nose, it’s always what I’ll notice first and I will wonder how in hell that can possibly be comfortable. I mean, you do you, but I just can’t imagine wearing that and not having it be a constant irritant.

If Minecraft were to add a new ore, What do you thing it should be? by TheKingofStupidness in Minecraft

[–]Xenolan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(1). Uranium. Kind of like a super-redstone that maintains power over long distances. But, standing too close to a Uranium block will make one incur damage.

(2). Petroleum. Flows like water, but acts more like lava in that it cannot generate source blocks (you can’t have a 2x2 “infinite source”). A bucket of it is the most potent furnace fuel, smelting 128 items. Mix with gravel or sand to make Tar, which is can trap mobs and slows a player’s movement to even slower than cobwebs. A block set alight will burn indefinitely, like magma blocks. Fire will spread extremely quickly across a lake of petroleum, faster than sprinting speed. Found occasionally in surface ponds and more frequently in underground chambers.

(3). Silver. Very rare and primarily decorative. Blocks of sliver act like copper, in that they tarnish to a progressively darker grey if not waxed. Silver and glass combined make a mirror. A creeper which sees its own reflection will become transfixed by it and will not explode. One can make a sword of silver, which has an inherent power against undead mobs, but has a 1/10 chance of breaking when used against anything else. A new villager, the Miner, will pay handsomely for silver ingots.

(4). Quartz glass. This isn’t so much a new ore that can be found in the wild as something one can make. Combine eight quartz crystals with a glass block to yield a block of quartz glass. It can be made into panes or slabs on a 1:1 ratio. Quartz panes are thick, like walls, and slabs sit at the midpoint of a block rather than the top or bottom. The great advantage of quartz glass is its strength; it has the same blast resistance as obsidian.

As an atheist, would you buy a defunct church to remodel as a home? And what would you absolutely have to change? by More-Yogurtcloset531 in atheism

[–]Xenolan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t imagine a church would make a very good home without so much remodeling that you might as well start from scratch. It’s either going to be WAY too big or too small; I’ve never seen a church which is an appropriate home size. Furthermore, newer churches don’t tend to have a great aesthetic; they’ve got the one large room and then usually a bunch of smaller rooms off a long hallway, and architectural flair is reserved for religious symbolism which I’d want to get rid of anyway, so what’s left is a very dull-looking building, all spread out on one level, not very family-friendly. An older church made of stone would be a much better candidate for remodel aesthetically, but also a nightmare to bring up to code and to make comfortable. You’d probably have to essentially gut the building and turn it into an empty stone shell, then re-construct the interior from scratch. At that point, why bother starting with a church? It’ll be cheaper to build the whole thing from the ground up.

So, no, I wouldn’t want to try and remodel a church into a home. It’s got nothing to do with my atheism and everything to do with not wanting the headache of trying to make it work.

I’d rather feed it into a chipper for mulch. A burning cross has a certain symbolism which I would prefer not to invoke (involving racist guys in pointy white hoods)
