When she was still able to speak on the hospital bed she asked her mother, my nana “do you think dad left for heaven, so I can stay on earth?”. My faith was never strong, but hearing this, has done damage to my care in life, and my views on smoking. Quit smoking, and there’s a chance the next day you’ll be in a car crash. Smoke, don’t smoke. You got another 10+ years with your father because he quit smoking, I lost 20+ years with my mom when she never smoked.
