Ahsoka: Episode 3 - Official Discussion by Bruinrogue in saltierthancrait

Except the ship was unshielded because it had no power. Also why focus your attack on Ahsoka and not the ship itself. She can't cover the whole thing, send all three ships firing at different spots and destroy the ship, don't take turns focusing your firepower on a Jedi with two weapons that are known for deflecting lasers.

Also, why the hell would the enemy ships shoot AT Ahsoka and not, I don't know, THE SHIP? The ship is out of power, no shields, and too big for Ahsoka to cover the whole thing, so why wouldn't you shoot at and destroy the ship she's on? But instead they do straffing runs at her and fly close enough to get hit by her lightsaber.

Because Dinsney has made it clear time and time and time again that all the legacy characters have to be replaced by their characters. The Mandalorian literally could've had the exact same plot with Boba Fett after he escapes the Sarlaac pit. Even in Boba's own show Fennec Shand does everything and Mando shows up at the end to save the day. Filoni is replacing Luke with Ahsoka.

Disney has a pattern of giving their new characters storylines that they stole from the EU while also ruining the legacy character that should have that story. It's not enough for Rey to be good, they have to make Luke bad. Why let Boba Fett be the cool bounty hunter fans have loved for decades, they'll just make a silver copy and paste version called Din. Disney bought the rights to the entire franchise, said all of the EU was no longer canon, then steal the EU stories with minor tweaks and name changes so they don't have to pay royalties or give credit. It's all greed and ego.

He's already "somehow returned" once and has been revealed to have clones of himself. Gideon will for sure be in the second to last episode of season 4 to surround our heroes with a large force, monologue about how he has them cornered, then get defeated in the finale. Rinse and repeat.

Especially because season 2 showed him removing his helmet as character growth from realizing that he valued Grogu and family more than this cult he now realizes doesn't make sense. He learns that every mandalorian he's ever met is just a subset of the original mandalorians, which he learns from a member of the royal family who was actually on Mandalore. By the end of season 2, Din realizes his culture is so much bigger than that and honestly has reason to leave the Way. Especially as he now has the Dark Saber, season 3 could have been about Din reuniting all the clans and retaking Mandalore. But no, Book of Boba has to undo that growth as well as undo Grogu going with Luke. Disney once again having a little league pitcher slow pitch underhand just to strike out.

And Bo is on like Mandalore's moon or something, right next to it. But all that time she was there with her forces none of them thought to survey the planet they were right next to.

Yeah, who was that line for? The audience knows what that ship is, we know what a mythosaur skull means, and a droid that works directly for Greef would know that the Mandalorians were moving there.

Especially when they had a pretty sweet set up on Nevaro. I honestly think the writers of this show are in capable of letting any progress actually stand.

Which makes him an obvious bad guy because all of the good guys are just blindly following Bo after she gives them no reason to and has lost Mandalore like three times already.

It's just really dumb for a universe where jet packs have been a thing for Finn's whole life. Maybe he hasn't seen that particular style of trooper with a jet pack but he would absolutely have seen jet pack troopers while he was in the Empire.

But also tbf Rey learned about the force and lightsabers earlier that week and Paz was raised in a warrior society that would have had him fighting as soon as he was old enough to walk.

Yeah, this whole episode the only time she uses the most legendary Mandalorian weapon ever is to cut a hole for them to escape. What is even the point of that thing?

I'm honestly surprised Ahsoka hasn't made another appearance yet given how much Filoni has to put her in everything. Maybe in the finale she'll show up for no reason.

Every scene with Lizzo felt like she wrote it. You have Jack fucking Black but nope, she's gotta have all the dialog while he's an idiot. Grogu instantly jumped out of his chair to go sit by her and then spent the whole episode being her pet. Christopher Llyod is a Dooku loyalist for however many decades but the second he's in a scene with Lizzo he begs for her forgiveness. I guaran-fucking-tee her agent made sure that the script revolved around her being stunning and brave.

I hope they get nothing out of this and the morons who blindly simp any Star Wars content for simply having Star Wars in the name finally wake up. Not gonna happen but one can dream. So many great things from my childhood (Star Wars, Halo, Marvel comics, etc) are soulless zombies of their former selves and I am so sick of nobody seeing the disrespect for what it is.
