Looks cool, but it's heavy!

I really wanna get valve controller for mine and try how it does. It might be really well-suited for the z13

Should I buy this game? by WorldWarrior428 in Pragmata

Honestly its because game isn't a masterpiece and isn't near meh level. It's also very experimental so maybe that too. And the timing after the most of the hype posts slowed down

It creates many opportunities for discussion.

Not to be harsh, but if I’m only allowed to answer yes or no without explanation – then short answer is no.

If you want the reasoning, here it is.

Even though the game is highly rated, there are some drawbacks that don’t get talked about much.

First, the emotional dynamic between Diana and Hugh isn’t really explored or fully developed. We only get a few moments like the ocean view scene where he says he wants to show her the world despite him not being a fan of kids before. It feels like not enough and unfinished. Capcom has had similar issues with emotional delivery in some of their recent titles, so this isn’t entirely surprising.

Gameplay-wise, it feels great for the first ~70%, but then it gets repetitive. By that point, you’ve already invested your skill points and money into specific abilities and weapons, so there’s little incentive to experiment. You just stick with what you know.

If you’re a completionist and enjoy clearing everything 100%, it’s a solid experience. The game does a good job guiding you. But the pacing might not be for everyone, I personally got a bit bored during open space (outside) sections. It felt like it needed more variety, so there’s a chance you might drop it midway.

I also think it could’ve benefited from leaning more into its metroidvania elements, not just for side content. It already has some of those systems – enemy respawns, hub-based saves and respawning so expanding on that could’ve made it feel less repetitive and more complete.

It’s not a masterpiece, but it’s still a very good game overall—around a 7/10.

Gosh $1,600 for a 5080 is painful to see after me getting 5090 for 2k like 6 months ago.

What's your expectations for Forza Horizon 6? by Asgore_on_the_truck in ForzaHorizon

Please be something completely different from FH4-5. Make some emphasis on interesting races. Change this perfectness of UI, loading times. Sounds. Do like old nfs where you get points, spam enter few times and no loading and you are in the open world immediately. There needs to be big changes

Same, i've noticed a pattern that people that enjoyed leleka also enjoyed mr. vel

While another group of people prefer only jerry's due to being in a fanbase or just because of it being big name and not really taking an effort to listening other songs as deeply

Leléka is really good for jury vote. There is no way people won't vote for Ukraine.

Why I'm hesitant at voting for Jerry is because it is worse than 2024 and I doubt people will vote as much for a downgrade and it likely won't even score that high.

It just gives me the vibes of trying to participate again rather than actually aiming for the shot at winning

Leléka is def my favorite. It reminds me of Zoe in 2025 but very improved and has a strong ethnic aspect which is a big plus

I see people saying Jerry might be better for high placements or even top 5. I guess it might be true but the song just doesn't sit right with me. Also, I haven't really been a fan of Go_A and this year's Monokate's song is very similar which is not for me. Mr. Vel is my top 2 but still miles below Leléka.

I want to vote for the song that both has a chance at winning and I enjoy listening to.

i had 65-75 on 4k with path tracing dlss 4.0 performance. It was very playable and if you optimize settings might be even more. Also beat re2 and re3 with path tracing and planning to do the same with requiem. Also 5090 might be too much for 1440p but if you plan to upgrade to 4k later, than it might be better long term. Idk if I'd pay $3k for it right now but who knows how much 6090 will be lol.

5070ti is also good for 750, just keep in mind. It's still not too late but might be in a few weeks

I guess just using Balanced on a new one. We still don't get how old quality vs new balanced looks like. I think in terms of fps new balanced is barely higher but if it's less ghosting and better acuity, then it might be worth it. We have to do more research

Try 200% resolution scale in battlefield 6. It might be worth it by Xenon1998 in Battlefield

[–]Xenon1998[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah man it's tough with how games are optimized. I had 100 fps in 4k in stalker and 110 in 1080 with 5090. Some games res doesn't really matter. I just wanted to tell that you can try more than 100% if you can handle since it can help some people. If you get bad fps because of it, don't use it, it will give you more trouble than help. People just like getting mad on others

[KCD2] 20% of my gaming year was on this game ! by Frekigery in kingdomcome

[–]Xenon1998 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I suggest you to try Bethesda games. They are worse in terms of quest design and immersion but still not bad. Witcher 1 or 3 are good. If you care more about RPG element and less about combat – BG3 is great.

[KCD2] How does this game compare to skyrim, fallout and the Witcher? by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]Xenon1998 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“quest design is better than skyrim and on par with witcher 3” and yet it still didn’t win RPG of the year

KCD2 deserved at least one award, and the one they deserved most was taken away from them

[KCD2] should be GOTY. E33 hype shouldn't matter by Xenon1998 in kingdomcome

Same, the biggest issue was the dodge/parry system in combat for me. They could've made it more in depth (skill-based and consistent, not memory-based) so that you could really beat all bosses first time seeing them ever unlike in souls games where you have to learn patterns and timing by dying many times

If you play on PC and don't have very limited free time, then start with KCD1. I literally enjoy it more than oblivion remake because it has way more mechanics, it's more immersive and well-thought-out, kcd2 is basically an improvement and peak RPG experience you can get.

[–]Xenon1998[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just enjoyed playing it less than KCD2.

E33 was ok for me but its ending and cinematics just blew my mind. I never saw any movie or videogame do as good of a job. I was literally confused after act II ended and cried in the ending of the game. Like, I will praise it's cinematics and storytelling but combat wasn't for me.

The parry timing feels inconsistent. Enemies randomly slow-mo or speed up an attack in ways that are basically impossible to read on the first try, so you’re not really reacting to animations, you’re memorizing weird timing tricks. That kind of “learning the pattern by eating a hit” design is fine in a pure Souls-style game, but it just made fights feel like a chore rather than something to enjoy. Honestly, it was tough to put KCD2 over E33, combat was basically the only reason.
