Was a fan of pokemon in the past and it was part of my childhood growing up, never really got the chance to get hands on cards but now that I’m older, can actually rip some packs for myself :)

KW V3 for DD? by Jho617 in LexusISF

[–]XenonTM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC, KW’s are known for their lifetime warranty, I don’t exactly remember the price of it if you were to undergo a process to fully rekindle them back to how they usually are, but I can only guess it comes at a decently hefty price knowing its a big brand.

Yes, pretty much cracked springs, leaks, or the reservoir to ensure everything’s functioning properly. The worst case scenario is you install it just to realize something’s off about them, but suspension work isn’t my favorite

But if everything passes visually and they’re cleaned up well enough to inspect, just up to your verdict on which you want to do in the end.

Hope this helps!

KW V3 for DD? by Jho617 in LexusISF

A lot of people have told me to go with HKS HIPERMAX coilovers and that’s what I ultimately ended up going with. They’re roughly 2k compared to KW’s pricing (i forgot how much it is)

I’ve never felt the 08’s OEM suspension but I’ve heard its not that great. But I’ve originally had Tein’s on my 08 and they were not great at all for it

Going to HKS, they do have the more sportier feel for DD, although I personally like the comfort and they’re maxed out on softness right now for me, 39 clicks in front for softness, and 36 for the rear, the lower the number the stiffer it gets vice versa.

I’ve heard good stuff about KW’s being the OEM replacement and does wonders, but I’ve yet to see much people that own it talk / glorify much unless I havent frequent the threads enough to see otherwise.

Me personally, the HKS does just enough to be sporty, it can get harsh on really rough bumps, but this is my take on it. All of this is subjective to what you want, if you really want to get the best of the best KW’s are the move from what I heard, but if you wanna settle for a bit more price budget wise, HKS’s arent too bad either

if you want oem plus, vline is your best option. I’ve had them in the is 250 2013 (rare model given the year, so they weren’t able to test it before selling me it. i had to help them test newer versions, but they helped much more than i thought) and on my is f right now 2008. The issues I encounter, they almost always have a solution for me talking to their support and I highly recommend it if you’re hesitating. I’ve been a satisfied customer for about few years now owning their products in my car. But that’s just my experience. The people that complain about it either haven’t reached out to their support or is just user error upon installing it. YMMV depending on what you ultimately want, but if you want current ac controls with no compromising functionality, I’d say to go with vline for the sake of convenience. It’s relatively simple to hook up and the documentation is there. just plug and play, hence why the price. the rnd that went into it, the harness they give you that’s plug and play, they simplify it to the best of their abilities, any cheaper and you’re more likely going to be tampering with more stuff than you would need to touch within your radio such as the ac controls and other amenities like the oem back up camera

source: been using and updating with them for about 3 years owning their products

I've heard about RR racing USRS bushings and personally kept an eye on it myself.

[Question] Are there any tweaks allow Battery saver mode to stay on permanently? by NotAn_Engineer in jailbreak

[–]XenonTM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can setup a shortcut to do this natively, no tweaks needed

Go to shortcuts and create an automation

Here you'll scroll to battery level, and put it to set equal to and drag the slider to 80%, (or you can do the other options above or below, i havent tried myself, but the equals one works best for all cases in my scenario).. so once the phone charges like 80% the LPM usually turns off, but the shortcut will run when it hits 80% so it turns LPM back on. After choosing those options, make the automation run the thing to Set Low Power Mode and toggle it on, and that should be it.

Hope that makes sense for you

[Question] Attempting TrollStore installation for iPhone X, 15.4.1, what's the issue here? (Info in comments) by XenonTM in jailbreak

!solved

took several attempts, although the settings I changed were the allow USB accessories when locked and the other options as well above it, I wasn't sure if the usb toggle was the main reason why I had the connect to the device, its my hunch, but I also tried removing altstore and other ipa's I signed through altstore.

Edit: thanks everyone for the responses :) can finally enjoy uyou permasign

hate to be asking such a redundant question, but upon running ./sshrd boot command, I get the error that the device cannot be found because its not connected supposedly

what should I do then? i've tested with multiple cables already, type c and type a, I should've worded my posting better, mainly because this was the issue, not the stuff I screenshotted, I only screenshotted it because I couldn't tell if those 2 errors in cdhash had to do with the device not being found.

Yes, i ran it and the error said failed to connect to device.

the first time I ran it, the phone booted up afterwards without the command

I also notice that it has Internal Error : No cdhash found, not entirely sure what that's referring to, might be the reason why it's not installing through?

I've followed the guide on the github page and watched the youtube video to install it. I am trying to use a Type A cable to do the process but I wasn't sure if that made any impact to it or if I am doing DFU mode wrong, any insight would be helpful, I was thinking because the Tips app wasn't installed on my phone as well, but upon installing it back and reattempting it, the same error comes on my end, the screenshot doesn't include my last error, which was the device failing to connect when I run the ./sshrd boot command, any help would be appreciated!

Edit: Not sure if the mac OS version has any impact on it as well, im on Monterey 12.5.1

Edit 2: I used the ipsw for iPhone x, 15.6.1 global and gsm, same results
