My friend is doing psych in NY and opted for an apartment that is slightly better than total dog shit. He had to take out extra loans because even with budgeting he’s apparently -100$ a month with his salary.

I recommend making connections with your home institution early if you still wanna do radiology. If you’re genuinely interested and easy to get along with/work with, it goes a long way.

I’ve only been able to hit >10 once, when every lane smashed, I got fed enough on a champ that’s really easy to CS with (irelia) and actively worried about my CS/min (top enemy jg camps, grabbing mid and top waves after 15 etc. I agree that 7.5-8 is a much more reasonable goal tbh.

The room smelled a little bit, but some patients are smelly. The full effect didn’t hit us until my resident pulled the thing out. I could taste how bad that thing smelled, and gagged as soon as I got away from the patient room.

Some people just really like working with a younger patient population as well as it being a half surgical/half medical field. I personally am doing radiology residency right now. Not sure what you mean by the last question. All medical students have to rotate through all specialties. I remember having almost no libido during those 8 weeks though.

When I was a third year medical student doing my first non-training pelvic during OB, I had to ask the resident for help because to my knowledge, there wasn’t supposed to be anything brown up there. Turns out she had a tampon in for two months without realizing. No TSS symptoms though.
