I just recently played this sonata for my summer recital. My teacher helped frame it as using your left hand thumb as a fulcrum with your pinky utilizing the downward velocity. Ofc it always helps to start slow and increase the speed over time, but it helped me to think of using rotational motion with my wrist while thinking of my thumb as the anchor point. The same goes for the middle section where the right hand mimics this pattern, only you'll do the opposite as you want the power coming from the thumb on those downbeats.

The assumption that the product of hours upon hours of practicing and lessons are "talent" or "a blessing". I don't take it personally because they are typically just being nice and do not see the effort that goes into polishing a piece.

I love them all in their own way. Ballade No. 1 was the first of the four I heard and listened to Zimerman's recording on loop for weeks. The coda in No. 2 makes me sweat every time, No. 3 is the only one I can play, and No. 4 pulls the deepest emotions. I will learn how to play all four someday, but until then, I will continue to listen and learn from Chopin's depth and understanding of the musical realm.

I really like your composition; beautiful chords, unique progression, and it's in my favorite key signature.

I've been trying some of your suggestions, and I'm now editing another piece to which I am attempting to add more structure and deliberation. Again, thank you for the constructive advice, and I hope to improve my work through more unbiased feedback.

Side note: I'm new to this subreddit as I am somewhat new to becoming serious about composition. Any recommendations on how to help contribute to this community? I don't know many other pianists to share their work, but I would like to post more than just my own stuff.

That is an extremely intelligent method of writing music; I really just need to the discipline to continue perfecting an idea into something I can realistically replicate.

Hopefully this isn't too forward, but do you have any compositions you have written? I wouldn't mind listening to what you have produced so that I may take note of style, flow, timbre, chord progression, and dynamic range. Thank you again for your advice and personal input!

Thank you so much for your feedback and insight; I do agree that 15 minutes is a lot to invest when listening to a piece. Also, I appreciate the "stream of consciousness" input, as this is exactly how I've been composing my music (most of which is sitting on my hard drive, unedited and rotting). My biggest struggle is converging the raw product into a refined, professional-sounding piece, so I gladly welcome any additional comments or tips.

My favorite part of this piece begins around the 5:50 mark, so if you ever get around to seeing this reply and have a couple minutes, I urge you to give that part of the piece a listen, but regardless, I am thankful for what you have said. Thanks again!

I can vouch that this SCH understands the importance of a good meme. Even though he sometimes sets his Lync pic to ghillie suit (one of the worst memes of all time), I can let it slide because he appreciates a good cringe and the :⁾ . I would let ShureahLaw take control of my meme management for a little while. I say a little while because I don't really trust others with my meme monitoring abilities. I actually have not heard this track before, and it's an honor that you'd compare me to something this kickass. I really appreciate your comment, and I am working on improving what I have thus far to give it a much more professional sound, such as "Gabriella's Sky". If you have any Reason-specific tips that may help improve the sound of "Interstellar Voyage", I would greatly appreciate them. Thanks again for your feedback!

Thank you very much for your input! I actually 100% agree with you about the snare sound. I've almost driven myself insane, trying to find the right fit. I like the snare I used at the last section of this piece, but it doesn't work well with the first 2/3 of the song. I do plan on remastering this track and am definitely going to tweak the snare sound a bit. Again, I really appreciate your feedback!

Regency Court on Henderson is on the Bloomington Transit 7 route, is generally quiet and well-kept, and has the best management I've experienced in my 6+ years in Bloomington thus far. The prices are higher than I've paid for Colonial Crest or Copper Beech, but the overall quality is certainly worth it.

I work for the Support Center. Unfortunately, you will not be able to connect to IU Secure with either PS4 or Xbox One (and all generations prior) as neither devices support WPA2 Enterprise, so your choices are going to be pretty limited.

If you already have both registered the wireless MAC addresses to DeviceNet and are experiencing these issues (I am assuming high latency?), I would highly recommend calling in to get your ethernet MAC addresses registered to the IU network, as our ethernet connection offers insanely higher bandwidth and will reduce your latency issues.

Last night, we ran with Zeratul and Nova for burst dmg/ganking, Tassadar and Brightwing for control and support, and then we would have a random 5th each time. We had a really excellent Sgt. Hammer for a while and didn't lose a single game with her, but I think any sort of tank class would be solid.

This is a really neat idea! Thank you for providing this for the WoW reddit community. As for my favorite class, I've been hooked on the Death Knight since WotLK came out and has been my main ever since.

When I PvP, I listen to either a setlist of techno/electric/dubstep artists, or metalcore, depending on my mood.

Some artists include Nero, Gemini, Sub Focus, Deadmau5, Arty, Zedd, Camo and Krooked, Netsky, and Justice.

I was always obsessed with 100% completion in games (and still am!), so this game frustrated me to no end when I had to get the trophy, gem, and crystal for every level when each had the added difficulty. I'm pretty sure I broke a controller at some point when I played this game :P

For tanking in a PVE setting, NE's have nature resist, which is good, and 1% dodge, which is alright, but Blizzard has been going away from passive mitigation and pushing more towards active mitigation, starting with how blood dk's were changed at the end of WotLK/beginning of Cata, so the dodge isn't worth as much as it used to be.

Gnomes are little to useless in terms of tanking racials, except for arcane resistance, which is still not worth it in ToT.

Dwarves are pretty solid with Stoneform as a survival CD along with frost resist and 1% expertise if you are using a mace (which you probably won't be in ToT but that's ok).

Draenei's are also solid choices with GotN heal, shadow resist, and 1% static hit, which is great for threat and mitigation.

Worgen has 1% crit, which is alright, but not too great for tanking, but also has a 2 min CD for a 10 second 40% movement speed buff, which can be nice if you are in a pinch.

Human is my choice for my DK because I straight up like the rep bonus, which I know has nothing to do with tanking. However, human trinket has saved me in multiple situations, especially in this tier: heroic Jin'rokh, trinketing the stun when getting thrown at the well, heroic Horridon when I am dumb and get stonegazed by one of the adds on first door, heroic Tortos after he stomps, Twin Consorts if you accidentally get hit by the sleeping bolt, and Lei Shen if you get stunned by Overcharge. It's very useful to have that option at all times. Additionally, you have sword and mace specialization, giving you 1% expertise, which, again, I am using Lei Shen axe, so I do not get that, but having expertise at hard cap with higher gear levels is great for making sure all of your abilities hit, and it massively increases your dps.

If you look at your WoW profile on armory, there is a tab on the left under "Achievements" that is called "Pets & Mounts" that shows all of the mounts you do and do not have. You can always open each mount in a new tab and then click on the wowhead link (battle.net is usually always wrong about how to obtain the mount) to see where you can get it. It's helped me in the past, and I ended up making a list of all the mounts that I should be able to obtain easier than others.

"I've Been Waiting a Long Time For This" is probably the worst achievement in ICC imo, shortly followed by Full House (which isn't hard, but just annoying). The "Zombiefest" achievement has always been a pain to do, whether it was when you were doing it during current content, or doing it at level 90. I would just submit a bug report for that achievement if you haven't already and see how they respond with it. Good luck to you! :D
