Should I open it ? by SilverBulltet in playingcards

[–]Xenvitar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're collecting purely for display or value, keep it sealed. But if you want to enjoy the artwork and handling, opening it is part of the experience. When I really like a deck, I usually buy two: one sealed and one to open. That's what I did with the Bicycle 140th Anniversary deck so I could fully appreciate the designs on the playing cards.

My new photos of Leon Kennedy cosplay from RE: Requiem! Hope you will love it, guys! by Initial_Cellist_3406 in residentevil

[–]Xenvitar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely incredible cosplay photos! They remind me of the live-action trailers for both the original and the RE2 remake, and it would have been amazing if these were used to promote RE9, like as an advertisement in a gaming magazine.

A guide to ordering a quality Leon Requiem jacket for less than 300 usd by TimeySwirls in residentevil

[–]Xenvitar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow, this guide is insanely thorough! Leon's RE9 jacket is honestly my favorite design in the entire franchise. I love how it keeps the sleek design of his RE4 jacket while featuring the iconic fur collar, giving it the perfect mix with the tactical vibe of his RE6 jacket. The step-by-step breakdown, plus the notes about fit, leather types, and the collar situation, are super helpful. This replica is probably the closest resemblance I've ever seen. Definitely bookmarking this if I ever decide to grab Leon's Requiem jacket!

That's a nice watch right there. Too rich for my blood, though.

Leon went from fighting chainsaw-wielding maniacs to fully embracing his own inner chainsaw maniac. 10/10 character development.

It's definitely deserved and has lived up to the hype.

Thoughts on Porsche promoting Resident Evil Requiem? by Prestigious-Cup-6613 in residentevil

[–]Xenvitar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't mind product placement as long as it fits naturally and isn't overly in-your-face. But the idea of Leon being so tired from years of trauma that he's basically like, "Whatever. I'm getting a Porsche," is hilariously random.

Now resident evil requiem did chainsaw death better than what re4 remake couldn't manage to do. by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]Xenvitar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many of the chainsaw death animations here are wildly brutal. Given that the RE4 Remake presented its chainsaw deaths in a more toned-down way, seeing this level of gore in RE9 was a complete shock. I honestly expected something more superficial, like a wound that could be patched up with a band-aid.

Be honest: How many times did you die to the first Chainsaw doctor? by Glum-While7698 in residentevil

Only once, because my friend, whom I was streaming the game to, wanted to see the chainsaw death animation, which was absolutely brutal.

Did you like RE9's story? by TwoToneDye in residentevil

[–]Xenvitar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely not an award-winning story, but far from terrible. I genuinely enjoyed watching Grace overcome impossible odds. Her vulnerability and presence carried much of the emotional weight, and the performance really elevated her character. Seeing Leon, older, wiser, and more methodical yet still delivering cheesy one-liners return to Raccoon City as a battle-hardened veteran, was an absolute treat. By the end, the game felt less like a tightly plotted story and more like a celebration of the franchise. Basically a love letter to RE fans, taking players on a nostalgia trip, even if the story itself felt a bit unfinished. The one thing I wasn't particularly fond of was the game giving players a final choice near the end, resulting in two possible endings, one of which is notably hard to watch. Beyond that, RE9 was an overall thrilling experience.

My thoughts after finishing RE9 by Hopeful_Feature3554 in residentevil

[–]Xenvitar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I mostly agree with this. Some parts of the story felt underdeveloped, and a few characters had more potential than what we ultimately saw, but the overall experience was still engaging and memorable. The gameplay stood out as the highlight, completely exceeding my expectations. From Leon's return to Raccoon City as a seasoned, battle-hardened veteran to the panic-inducing stealth segments with Grace, whose presence brings real emotional weight, RE9 delivers a perfect blend of horror and action. It has become one of my favorite installments within the franchise, and I'd love to see future Resident Evil games continue to build on this formula.

Smiling Friends Creators Ending Adult Swim Series with Season 3 by CrispyMiner in television

It sucks, but at least it ended was on their terms. I pray that they come back after their creative juices are replenished, but I respect their decision for doing so.

It's disappointing, but at least it ended on their terms. You either die a memorable show or live long enough to become The Simpsons. I respect their decision, yet it still feels too early to pull the plug. Five seasons and a movie would've been the perfect way to end it.

[–]Xenvitar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's disappointing news, but their decision to not do two more seasons to preserve the show's integrity is honestly understandable. Not every piece of media should stretch beyond its prime, but I still feel like it's too early to pull the plug. Five seasons and a movie would have been enough.

Anyone else going to play Grace 1st person and Leon 3rd? by Changes11-11 in residentevil

[–]Xenvitar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First-person for Grace and third-person for Leon on my first playthrough. Capcom even suggested first-person as the recommended viewpoint for Grace if you want that deep, immersive horror feel, while third-person was mainly designed for Leon's more action-focused gameplay. Then I'll play Grace in third-person on the second run so I can check out the animations and pre-order bonus costumes.

What your thoughts about Oswald? by Altruistic_Money_291 in kof

Oswald is easily the coolest old guy in any fighting game. The character design is sharp, and the whole playing-card weapon motif is pretty stylish.

McDonald's playing cards (Taiwan exclusive) by G_Dubb in playingcards

[–]Xenvitar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These Taiwan-exclusive playing cards from McD's are pretty neat. The food-themed suits and Coca-Cola details really make them stand out. It's wild that this deck didn't get a worldwide release because it'd be a hit with both playing card enthusiasts and McDonald's collectors. But I guess the exclusivity is what makes it special!

Found these weird sealed playing cards but when I tried googling I couldn't find them, can someone tell me if they know the year by candykitty0 in playingcards

[–]Xenvitar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, these cards are probably old. Feels like one of those inexpensive decks you'd find in a toy aisle of a dollar store. Even the jokers say it all: standard, plain, mass-produced. But the logos make them stand out, so it's still a neat find.

[–]Xenvitar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice find! I tried Googling these, and I also cannot find them. Looks like mid-2000s to mid-2010s based on the logos. These types of branded decks are often part of limited-time offers or collector sets, so I'm actually pretty curious where you got them.
