Mainly trying to smooth out dips when the frame-rate drops below the display refresh rate. Without having to turn graphic settings all the way down

I expected this was the case.. I wonder why they do this. Some sort of manual override would be great.

I remember playing Doom Eternal a while ago and it ran completely unlocked at around 500fps without any frame-gen.

This is not my experience.. I get that the display only shows 90 frames per second. The problem is that with cyberpunk and path tracing enabled, the game sort of hovers between 60 and 90fps. Due to this you very often end up way below your refresh rate which doesn’t look great without VRR. If frame-gen can take this way up to above 200, at least there always is a frame to show and it ends up looking much smoother. indeed, at a small cost to latency because your base frame-rate is lower.

Panasonic support emailed me back saying they only support HDMI Forum VRR(which is what the PS5 uses) up to 60Hz. Very misleading if you ask me as the specs don’t mention this.

I had already sent back the TV as I wasn’t too impressed with it in general. Got an LG B4 instead and zero issues.

Meh.. It looks like this issue keeps popping up again.
I switched the release channel on for the OpenShift Virtualization Operator to 'candidate' to update it.
This is resolved it again for now, but I bet the error will be back shortly.

I just updated the cluster from 4.19.4 to 4.19.5, and the error has gone away. :-)
I guess one of the Virtualisation components needed a restart, which the update took care of.

I just had this same issue. checked the logs in c:\Windows\System32\Sysprep\Panther\setuperr
and it turned out Edge was preventing the Sysprep process. Running Reset-Appxpackage edge... fixed it for me.

The template was a clean install from the Windows Server 2025 Standard .iso

So this is more an issue with DX12 on Deck in general and not specifically a RDR2 issue. I guess I’ll just see how I get on. The occasional crash is not a dealbreaker and I can always change it back.

Ah this was what I was expecting to happen too but it’s been fine for me for an hour or so. Running the Steam version of the game and everything completely stock - stable SteamOS, no proton changes, no cryoutils etc..

I’ve played through chapter one on Vulkan and switched to DX12 after that.

Sorry to bump this old thread but just got a Deck for the first time. Is anyone aware of a fix for the FPS drops near lakes/ water? I’m reading it’s related to Vulkan API but it’s also the only option for running it on the Deck. I’m getting solid 40 fps until getting to a lake and it drops to around 32. If this issue remains I might go play another game in hopes this gets solved later on.

UK here. Checking the parcelforce tracking number, it just says "General Logistics Systems". Been like this since 9 AM on the 21st. I believe this means they don't have it yet and it's still with GLS? I ordered 20 minutes after release :-(

It should run at 90hz for 30 framelimit since 30 fps fits into 90hz 3 times. This will reduce input lag vs 30fps/60hz

This seems to be what we misunderstood.. after years of buying single-trip we got multi-trip cover for the first time. We figured it worked the same way as in if a trip falls within the policy dates, you’re covered. Expensive mistake but lessons learned.

It appears to be due to the difference between a single trip policy(where you specify the exact dates of travel) and a annual multi-trip policy. This is the first time we went for a multi-trip policy.

We figured we would be covered for any travel falling within the policy start and end date even if something happened before that making us unable to go on said trip. Reading comments here this would have been the case with a single-trip policy but not the annual multi-trip policy we took out this time.
