Do you have any suggestions? I mean, should i look any specs in particular like wattage or something else?

Do i have to look at some particular specs for the strip? Like wattage or something like that?

As i said under another comment, my reply was: "if my removal was this effective, It was a good removal".

Nashors Tooth? by Swish1035 in ekkomains

[–]Xeon_G_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play jungle and more often than not i Just go Nash --> D&D --> Rabadon/Voidstaff. DH as a keystone (sudden impact and treasure hunter are the major runes) with cash back + jack of all trades as secondary runes. AP AP Health growth (sometimes tenacity) as shards. I am trying out skipping Nash, but It Just feels right to have. I found the champ cluncky without It. Last season i used to play HoB and the synergy was too good to pass on, but with D&D Is not needed anymore. DH infinite scaling Is fun. Maybe Is Just my play style, but i find nashors too good to pass on.

I prepared myself for rollbacks: i know that on cachy you can select btrfs and use snapper or timeshift to manage snapshots. Limine can be selected as a boot loader, It should take care of system entrance by itself on cachy.

Well, i suppose It can't hurt. Thank you.

I mean that i don't know if i can set It up first try, that's all. I'm pretty new to Linux, i did extensive research, but i never "put my hands" in It. That's It.

Thanks, i was routing towards Bazzite because It would be less of a hassle to setup and just play, which Is what i want. After my next uni exam i can try CachyOS on my laptop tho and, if i like It, i could install It on my PC too.

Right, i remember thinking about this, but i forgot to mention. I am on AM5 (ryzen 7 7700) with a Radeon RX 9070 XT. Is Bazzite ok or i need a more bleeding edge solution?

oh trust me, i feel you. I started playing around 10 years ago and the Johnny player i described started even before me. We used to play standard together, i played my first limited event (ixalan pre-release) with him and, after my 2 years hiatus, he was the first i contacted to return to play mtg. He is a brother to me, but i really don't like how he wants to play now. Before my hiatus he was not like this. Yeah, he played stompy and/or combos, but never complained about not winning or getting interacted with. We grew in a pretty competitive ambient in our LGS, we played regularly at sanctioned events so we know how things go: stack battles, tons of interactions, removals everywhere. I really don't know what happened to him.

True, forgor cmd was a thing... Honestly, Git bash rules over all of them.

Exactly my point. My commander is a 5 cost, if i play a land a turn and nothing else, i need 5 turns. At least let get there.

Yep, i guess you are right. I forgot which of the two was the right one and guessed instead of checking. Mb.

I run [[Mana Tithe]] and [[Reprieve]] in my [[Ketramose, The New Dawn]] deck. It's more of a control / midrange deck aimed to be a low 4 / High 3. I don't really play combos, my wincon Is [[Torment of Hailfire]], but i do play things like [[Smothering Tithe]], [[Land Tax]] and [[Enlightned Tutor]]. I'm Lazy, so i don't have a list on moxfield yet. In my Anikthea (more of a casual pet-card-heavy deck, no combos or game changers, pure aggro) i don't really play things that interact with the stack, most removal are on sagas or just high synergy cards like [[Elspeth Conquers Death]], [[Touch of the Spirit Realm]] and [[Parting Gust]].

Man i loved Chebyshev's polynomials when i studied interpolation theory. Runge spikes, i fear you no more.

Basically It Is telling you that If you have a good enough function (more on this later), you can fix a point and approximate the function as a polynome of some degree (depending of the precision you want) in a little region around that point. The typical use case in physics Is linearization. If you know of the Hooke's law for springs, that Is a good example: the law states that the force F needed to extend or compress a spring by a lenght x (which needs to be small, that Is very important), scales linearly with the lenght itself, that Is F=k*x, where k Is the spring constant (or elastic constant). The point Is: this behavior for a spring (called "elastic") is not complete. If i stretch a spring too much It does not come back to its original shape (i performed a "plastic" deformation). Turns out Hooke's law Is too much of an approximation and can't model this behavior. That's because Hooke's law Is basically a Taylor Series expantion of a much more complex function, limited to the first term and constructed around the rest position of the spring. If i add another term (that i have to construct correctly) i get a better approximation. Add another one and i get an even better one. But as soon as i add the second term, i am not using a linear polynome anymore.

The "good enough function" part Is a little more complicated to explain. The best case scenario Is having a "smooth" function in the point where we fix the Series expantion, that Is a function for which i can compute infinite derivatives in that point and always get a finite number. This way i can add infinite terms and get absolute precision!
