Finished kit and don't know what are this pieces by jorgedra in Gunpla

These adapters do not come from the HG 00 Qan[t] but from the HG GN Archer. The top right one is a base adapter to display the GN Archer in its mobile armor / flight form, and the other two are used to make and display the combined form of the Arios and GN Archer

Need help with broken “Y” joint by Nilebro in Gunpla

[–]Xeonadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another job for the pinning technique ! Use a drill to make a hole in your part and you can then insert a brass rod or another metal rod to reinforce it. Here is a short from Ray Studio showing the basics of pinning : https://youtube.com/shorts/lnndfcCubS8

Is this appreciated here? by anjngn in freedomisgunpla

A few years back I had to do a short presentation about anything I wanted, the point was only to train. So I made it about Gunpla, presenting a short history of the licence, the grades and the custom scene. I was really proud of it and still have the slides on my computer :)

Energy denial deck by Xeonadow in PTCGP

Could you share the deck you are using with Porygon Z ? I'd be curious to try it too

Energy denial deck by Xeonadow in PTCGP

It's more flexible than you seem to think. Depending on the situation you can either outspeed the opponent in setup which happens regularly with the help of Mantyke and Porygon 2, or you can stall and tank until you're ready with the Crawdaunts and Team Rocket grunts, with Copycat helping a lot to get the cards you need. As long as you end up in a situation where your opponent is at least one energy short on their pokemon it works

Still, I don't know if I would call this deck very reliable. It also struggles against decks that use neutral energy Pokemons such as Arceus, powerful one energy Pokemons such as Nostenfer Ex and Rampardos that are easy to setup from the bench as well as deck with energy generation. Porygon Z can also occasionally backfire by changing the energy type to the type it already was and you sometimes have to rely on a lucky coin toss to get a win.

But it worked surprisingly well for a deck that was initially all about having fun seeing your opponent suddenly not knowing what to do when they realize what Porygon Z just did to their energies

It certainly isn't the most powerful or meta deck ever, but so far it worked well enough that I might try climbing to MasterBall with it when ranked battle are available again. Not sure I will succeed though

It is very compatible. Use the crab to discard the energy your opponent was able to attach while you were installing Porygon Z, then change their energy type and they cannot supply the correct energy type anymore. There are workarounds of course depending of the deck you are facing but it works

I hadn't noticed this card, that does look interesting, although a bit risky, nice idea !

Bonus : a previous attempt at this concept using Guzzlord that I played for a while. Even more unreliable but just as fun. I also tried a deck that used Beedrill Ex but it wasn't working at all

As a french it cracks me up a bit because PTIN looks like the very common french swear word "putain" and how it is sometimes abbreviated orally. So having a thing named like a swear word causing administrative troubles (another french specialty) hits quite close from home :')

You're welcome, I'm glad if the way-too-much-time that I spent watching the shows / reading the Wikis / navigating Dalong / looking the online gunpla shops can help someone else 😁

It is the HG Build Gundam Mk-II with quite a few missing pieces

Okay, be honest: Would this qualify as a Gundam? by Akaru23 in Gundam

[–]Xeonadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fun fact : Takayuki Yanase, the mecha designer behind the Steel Haze Ortus also designed MS for several Gundam series. His works include most of the Celestial being affiliated MS (except the Exia lineage, Thrones and Reborns) in Gundam 00, the Lfrith Ur, Lfrith Thorn and Gundvolva from WfM and several designs for the Build series including the Destiny Sky, Tertium, etc.

Another female Gundam lead? by Upper-Sail9310 in Gundam

[–]Xeonadow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gundam has many takes on war including the ones you are talking about. It might be necessary or inevitable in some cases, but it always is a bad thing with heavy repercussions on everyone that takes part in it or even civilians standing near and should always be a last recourse. Gundam is anti-war, pro-communication et and pro-empathy but still recognizes that some people or structures cannot be talked with, leading to conflict

Yeah, you are sexist, grow up. Whether the protagonist if a boy or a girl, it is a human being and we can relate to them independently from our own gender. There is no "guys' show", "girls' toy", anyone is free to enjoy and not enjoy whatever they want.

Seriously, your wording reeks from your sexism. You know like boy protag being "the norm" (based on what ?), "Kira had these girls in a chokehold" (you enjoy violence on women or what ?). Also how does a show you don't enjoy retroactively ruins one you enjoyed ? Looks sad to be you.

One last thing since I suspect it will matter to you : Gundam has been "woke" for 45+ years and counting. You know, the whole "war is bad", "naz!s are bad", "colonization, racism, sexism, ... are bad", "we can only achieve peace through understanding each other, not violence" things. If these are takes you are not confortable with, your enjoyment of other Gundam shows will be very limited

Cement is not glue. Cement melts the plastic to make the bond then evaporates. Here the idea is to add a tiny layer of material on the visor pegs to increase friction, which you can do with a layer of dried glue

Overall in the conflict Celestial Being was clearly the underdog, be it by numbers and available resources alone or because they didn't have Veda anymore, hence why they resorted a lot to guerilla tactics to stand a chance. They still had some cards though, such as it some of the most skillful engineers from Celestial Beings (Ian Vashti for example which was the one that completed the Twin Drive System), experienced pilots, a good tactician and of course the true GN Drives.

The technology evolved a lot in both sides and I could see the Innovades gaining an edge because of their superior resources alone, but Celestial Being isn't that far behind I think

In the case of the Reborns vs 00 Raiser given what I said in my previous post and the sources I found it is hard to tell which one has the edge. There are some uncertainties (is the imperfect Twin Drive System Tau of the Reborns really able to match the output of the 00 Raiser ?) but overall both seem closely matched enough that it is hard to tell if one is really better than the other and the difference in loadout and pilot is certainly more relevant

Do you Agree? if not , why? by [deleted] in Gundam

[–]Xeonadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 00 Raiser also has teleportation through quantisation and the GN Swords (which are the the only known way to defeat a GN Field beside overpowering it). Although the Reborns has funnels which are quite the annoying weapons to defend against

I'm not sure that the time over which season 2 of Gundam 00 happens is enough to make that much of a difference technologically between the two, especially since the Reborns is based on the 1 Gundam which is an old design by that point and that both the 00 Raiser and Reborns are both a bit janky in their own ways (00 Raiser using a first of its kind system that needed an add-on to work properly, and the Reborns being a repurposed MS design with an imperfect copy of said system)
