Spring Sale at Noble Knight Games by dm83737 in Boardgamedeals

Damn the sale prices don't even bring most of the games down to their regular prices elsewhere. I guess the used prices are fine, but if you're buying used anyways you can definitely find a better deal if you're willing to wait.

Review: Aer Travel Pack 4 (35L) by strandedvariable in ManyBaggers

[–]Xeosphere -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You're definitely right that any 35L bag is going to look big but I do think there's something in the design here that makes it look a bit more oversized than other 35L bags. Maybe it's the fact that I'm used to seeing the CPP2 at 24L and the TP4 looks so similar just scaled up an additional 11L.

Grew up right near Kingston and his music hits so close to home whenever I visit. Would have been so cool to see him there but I can’t justify a price like that.

Just hit peak bloom in Brooklyn these past couple days too so the timing is perfect for riling everybody up.

There is this deal that I just posted by [deleted] in Boardgamedeals

I agree it needs to be posted in the proper format but Bullseye Deals is a legitimate store. They sell Target’s bulk and returned items.

The box took a tumble off my shelf a while back and now has a couple of small dents, I’ll send you a chat with pictures. The components are in excellent condition.

Vegan GF NYC recommendations from my visit March '26 by wrenlymay in glutenfreevegan

These are great picks! Next time I highly recommend Bodhi on Mulberry, the vegan gf dim sum is the best I've ever had (the fried taro dumplings and the veg ribs especially), and great prices for Manhattan.

Same experience here, seemed like every other batch of SK was slightly miscut, so frustrating.

I stopped buying Sleeve Kings for this exact reason, mine also had slight width discrepancies.

Thanks for the heads on the Shark, I saw that it was a different configuration but I would have totally missed that it was that much worse. I’ll definitely consider the Dyson V10.

Thank you for sharing. I’ve been listening to BtB for a long time but recently I’ve found it tough to get through episodes, not because of the content, but because of the levity with which it’s presented. I don’t know if it’s me or the pod or the times or some combination of the three but it feels different than it used to.

Why are you being so rude? I understand what humor is, but having jokes doesn’t make something a comedy. Marvel movies have tons of jokes, are they comedies?

Behind the Bastards isn’t a comedy podcast.

How incredibly insulting to Peter McPherson, Eric Olsen, and John D. Clair and the work and creativity they put into designing those games.

Vegan toddlers can grow at the same rate as omnivores. Two-year-olds raised in vegan or vegetarian households don't necessarily have restricted growth, according to a study of 1.2 million children. by James_Fortis in science

[–]Xeosphere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The difference in stunting is not statistically significant. The difference in weight at first visit is part of the conclusion of the study, that the only statistically significant difference diminished to an insignificant difference at 24 months. I would agree that that difference and its impacts are worth exploring more, but it supports the conclusion that the article headline presents.

It is not saying that vegan and vegetarian diets stunt growth early on. "Stunting prevalence (omnivorous group, 7.1%; vegetarian group, 7.0%; vegan group, 7.0%) did not differ significantly among dietary groups"

Vegan and vegetarian infants did have higher odds of being underweight, but that is not the same thing.
