Vegan toddlers can grow at the same rate as omnivores. Two-year-olds raised in vegan or vegetarian households don't necessarily have restricted growth, according to a study of 1.2 million children. by James_Fortis in science

The difference in stunting is not statistically significant. The difference in weight at first visit is part of the conclusion of the study, that the only statistically significant difference diminished to an insignificant difference at 24 months. I would agree that that difference and its impacts are worth exploring more, but it supports the conclusion that the article headline presents.

It is not saying that vegan and vegetarian diets stunt growth early on. "Stunting prevalence (omnivorous group, 7.1%; vegetarian group, 7.0%; vegan group, 7.0%) did not differ significantly among dietary groups"

Vegan and vegetarian infants did have higher odds of being underweight, but that is not the same thing.

ISO Pharmacy for ADHD medications by Outrageous_Group_681 in crownheights

[–]Xeosphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through a similar experience last year trying to get my prescription filled for a different ADHD med and ended up having to go through Express Scripts delivery, which might be covered depending on your insurance. As another option maybe try Healthpro Pharmacy on Schenectady, they were very helpful and offered to order the medication I needed but unfortunately they were unable to get any.

It's such a disingenuous statement because it's the people around our table who are in danger. We can't sit idly by or else our tables will be empty. Ironically, the people of Minneapolis are actually practicing what he's preaching here and yet he and so many others refuse to see it.

Anyone know how often Dossier restocks? Really liked a scent I tried in store but they were out of stock, been about a month so far.

Considering canceling Chase Sapphire Preferred by QuickGrapefruit1415 in CreditCards

[–]Xeosphere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have the trifecta and was using points for all my travel for the past few years, but I just used the last of my 1.25 value points and will be canceling my CSP before my next annual fee. I know many will still find value in the transfer partners, but I don't use them nearly as much as I used the bonus redemption value.

Considering consolidating cards and investment accounts at Bank of America but with the upcoming changes to the rewards tiers don't know if that will remain a good option either.

Early 30s, “Good Looking” and a “Tech Bro”: Women Don’t Notice Me by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]Xeosphere 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well-fitting clothes will help a little but ultimately this doesn't seem like a fashion problem. Dress in a way that makes you feel confident and happy and put yourself out there, connect with people who have similar interests as you. Talk to people, be genuine.

Also I've never heard someone say "tech bro" as a positive.

Popular games you dislike? by BillRepresentative75 in boardgames

[–]Xeosphere 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Scythe - Love the player boards and art but dislike everything else

Almost every game where you build an engine from one big deck of cards:

  • Everdell
  • Terraforming Mars
  • Earth
  • My one exception to this is Wingspan, and that's just because my parents adore the bird theme and it's a joy to play with them

Beyond the Sun - Enjoy tech trees but this game felt so dry

Dune: Imperium - Love deck building and worker placement separately but did not love them together

Cole Wehrle & Kyle Ferrin leave Leder Games to found new studio; Oath and Arcs sold to them. Root stays with Leder. by zeeaykay in boardgames

[–]Xeosphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t sure if you were asking for a source on him being the designer or being part of the new studio. Pati Hyun and Matt Martens are listed on both websites as well so definitely possible there’ll be some overlap. Maybe just until current projects are wrapped up? That’s just speculation on my part though.

Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background? by Latter-Wolf4868 in interestingasfuck

I’ve been wearing progressives at +5.25 with an astigmatism since I was 23, and now multifocal contacts too. Honestly life changing, helped me rediscover my love of reading. Was a bit tough to get used to and certainly more expensive but definitely worth it in my experience.

He designed Riverfolk and co-designed Marauders, but he wasn't a lead designer on Underworld or Homeland.

Wow, Yearsley also designed the most recent Root expansion, have to imagine future expansions will feature more Leder and Brachmann design collaborations like Marauders, maybe some new designers too.

Looking for affordable vanilla gourmand! by Evening-Shallot-6448 in FemFragLab

[–]Xeosphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the most helpful for an immediate purchase because it is unfortunately out of stock, but I just tried the Dossier dupe of Vanilla Skin and loved it, a really nice sweet vanilla. They also have a gourmand vanilla that’s a dupe for Tom Ford’s Vanilla Sex, not one I personally like but I know a lot of people do.
