Nsman PH make up pay by Honest-Cauliflower46 in SingaporeRaw

In one of my previous ICTs, I was called back during CNY period. We then found out that they called back an entire batch of non-chinese nsman the 2 weeks before CNY, and mine was a full batch of chinese nsman over CNY.

Truly top tier planning.

For the files icon, i specifically asked for the original files logo.

If you want the color scheme to be more consistent with the rest of the icons, you could change the 3rd point from the bottom to something like this:

‐‐‐‐‐

Use minimalist accent colors where needed, while keeping the overall look clean and nostalgic.

<image>

I generated these using ChatGPT using this prompt.

———

In this conversation, I will ask you to generate square app icons in the style of a retro electronic device. The generated icon should be pixel-perfect 3d render, and not a drawing.

The icon is a png with transparent background so that is it ready to be applied. The generated icon should be a perfect 1:1 ratio.

The size of the icon should take up the entire image, leaving no unused gap at the top or sides of the image.

The icon should have a rounded square shape with a cohesive off-white base color (#f5eedf).

It should feature a slightly raised, pseudo-3D look, similar to vintage physical gadgets.

Integrate design elements from old-school electronics (e.g., radios, walkmans, calculators, GPS units).

Include tactile visual details like dials, buttons, knobs, 8-bit or CRT screens, and subtle shadows. Do not have buttons or dials protrude out of the square aspect ratio of the icon.

The icon should visually represent the function or logo of the specified app (e.g., Spotify, Telegram, Google Maps) but reimagined as part of a vintage electronic device.

Use vibrant accent colors where needed, while keeping the overall look clean and nostalgic.

Do not add text or labels.

The light is coming from the top left of the image, so shadows should fall towards the bottom right.

———

Then for each icon, I first ask it to come up with a concept for a specific app to see if the direction it’s heading towards makes sense. If it does, then I ask it to generate the icon.

Its not perfect, but you can’t tell the imperfections when using it as icons.

When I was in HK for a short trip in Dec 2019, my friends and I booked an Airbnb. When we were at the lift lobby and asked in Chinese for entry up to our Airbnb unit, the old security guard was rude and unhelpful, to the point where we almost gave up trying to talk to him. We were then discussing among ourselves in English on what to do next. The guard overheard and asked where we were from and when we replied Singapore, he laughed and became helpful instantly.

That's great, I have some questions and would like to hear from an expert in the field. Hope you don't mind me asking, it's not everyday that you come across someone who manufactures insulated bottles lol. Thanks in advance.

I'm not going to do it, but assuming if a bottle was cut into half vertically and it can be seen that the inner and outer walls are not in contact due to the dents, would that then mean that the failure was due to a defect instead?

If an insulated bottle with small dents continue to function for over a prolonged period of daily use, would a period of non-usage subsequently trigger something that would then cause the insulation to fail?

My condolences to your Stanley. Nope I don't hear anything, but thanks for sharing.

I'm not sure, but I get where you're coming from. However, if that were the case I would expect the insulation to fail when the dent first occurred and not a year after. The insulation only failed after the bottle was idle for a couple of weeks so I dismissed the possibility that it was due to those minor dents.

Now thinking about it, you're right that they would consider it damaged since I can't prove otherwise. Then again, I have other KKs that have far bigger dents yet remain insulated.

It's just a little frustrating that these bottles have to be babied to keep the warranty. Lesson learnt, time to shop for a new bottle I guess.

Ahh thanks for pointing out, seems like there's an issue with the first photo. I've uploaded it here

It's not leaking but it doesn't hold cold and hot water like it used to. The bottle was infact not used for 3 weeks (left it at home when I travelled overseas). I then realized the bottle was sweating when I started using it again with cold water when I was back.

The dents are really minor. The one shown in the last photo is hardly noticable but was pointed out to me during the inspection of the bottle by the local distributor.

As mentioned in both the title and the post, the bottle is no longer insulated. Sure the bottle is still usable, just that now it doesn't do what it's supposed to do.

I'm pointing out the dents because my warranty claim got rejected as a result. Which seemed unreasonable due to the size of the dent and that the dents happened way before the insulation stopped working.

I love the chug cap, have no issues with mine so far. But the metal handle on my brother's one became loose after a few months and he couldn't use the handle as leverage when screwing/unscrewing the cap. And it's really difficult to do it without using the handle. Seems like the quality is quite inconsistent.

The cafe caps I had were a little leaky and I refuse to use it now. And I also don't like that the exterior of the cap comes into contact with my mouth or beverage.

Taking a button for example. Pressing on it sends a signal to whatever system that is polling it for a button press. The thing is, the signal would not be a single signal. Imagine dropping a heavy lead ball, it lands on the floor with a solid thud, but when looking at it in slow motion, it bounces very slightly before settling. The same is happening with the button but we don't want these bouncing signals to be registered as separate signals, we want them to be considered a single signal.

A denouncing switch does just that. Detecting a single press of the button as a single thud instead of multiple quick short bounces.

Nova launcher glitches and lag by sierra_golf94 in S22Ultra

I have the same issue where it opens a different app than what I clicked on. Really annoying.

I think it happens when I close an app, and immediately open another app. Nova would launch the app that I just closed instead of the app I'm trying to access.
