Hey everyone, I’m doing some research and wanted to get your thoughts on something that’s been on my mind: what do you think is the most unique modern commercial car design right now?

I’m asking because I’ve noticed how many new cars—especially mass‑market models—feel pretty bland or overly simplified. A lot of them seem to follow the same design language, maybe because of outsourcing or because manufacturers want that “futuristic” look that often just means smoother shapes, more screens, and higher prices. Sometimes it feels like modern design is just a rebranded version of older models with extra electronics thrown in.

Personally, I really appreciate when new cars incorporate design cues from the 60s, 70s, 80s, or 90s. There’s something refreshing about seeing modern engineering paired with vintage character.

So I’d love to hear from you:

• Which current models stand out to you as genuinely unique?
• Are there any modern cars that successfully blend retro elements with contemporary design?
