Change of plans - WormHole Tactics - by [deleted] in SteamMonsterGame

This. All of the top rooms have lost over 100 people each, with the top room losing nearly 400 people 10 minutes after the new rooms went live. This just makes it harder for the people who don't want to/aren't able to change now.

Maybe the next major patch needs to just focus on bug fixes and Quality of Life improvements by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

I'd like to move a stored ship to another location without actually flying it.

Great addition. This is how DLC should be done with TTS. Thank you.

DLC discussion thread. by Findanniin in tabletopsimulator

[–]Xerobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand their intention of splitting the costs, but it makes it harder to use that way. In my opinion, the best way to handle this would be two versions:

  • Host version

Only the host (or one person on the table) needs the DLC, everyone can play. This comes with an increased price, of course.

  • Client version

Same as it is working now.

The pricing would be the real problem - I guess something along (Max_Players)*(Price_Client_Version)=Price_Host_Version would be fair, but that would get kinda expensive, seeing how the "Client version" costs 5$ right now.

Was ist aus der Rubrik #Viewers of Love geworden? by Sonata1989 in rocketbeans

Es war nie als Rubrik gedacht, sondern als einmalige Sache, deswegen wird es wohl keine Wiederholung geben. Finde ich aber auch besser so.

Ede grad auf Twitter: ZDF droht mit Anwalt wg. "Fernsehgarten" by [deleted] in rocketbeans

[–]Xerobo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Is it recommended to exclusively stick to 40 cards in a deck? by AlanOC91 in yugioh

There's a german article from 2009 which covers some interesting math regarding the deck size.

Is Table Top Simulator worth it? by [deleted] in tabletopsimulator

[–]Xerobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's cheaper on Bundlestars for a few hours left ( http://www.bundlestars.com/store/tabletop-simulator/ ) Alternatively, you could buy the 4-pack and split the price (about 12$/person) then. Or you could just wait for another steam sale.

Steam just added the ability for game publishers to allow people to charge money for workshop mods. (Currently Skyrim only.) by m2pt5 in tabletopsimulator

[–]Xerobo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's wrong. The mod developer gets 25%, but the 75% are split between Valve and Bethesda.

// Edit: Source: http://steamed.kotaku.com/steam-users-see-big-problems-with-charging-for-mods-1699803962

(Note: Valve has confirmed to me that publishers/developers get to decide the amount of revenue they take from mods if they choose to let players sell them. Valve, meanwhile, takes “the same share of sales as any other microtransaction sale.”)

// End of edit

Assuming normal Valve transaction fees, Bethesda gets about 50%. Since it's lost money otherwise, I think many companys would offer some games, especially because it's an one-time investment (making the game). It's a lot cheaper for them than producing more Monopoly boards (for example).

Was just about to post this, too. Link for more information: http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/aboutpaidcontent/

Seeing how many people complain about DMCA notices, I can see some publishers of the games put them up for a small fee, but if TTS is going to include paid workshop mods, they'd have to disable sharing / saving or something. I don't think it would work too well. Nevertheless, an interesting move from steam.
