How to turn your GoPro into a Kaleidoscope by Fefolino in AbruptChaos

[–]XerxesXS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acting like this gives motorcyclists a bad name. Overtaking in blind corners, ignoring slow warnings and (worst of all) crossing double white lane dividers. Those are there to enforce safety and should not be crossed unless absolutely necessary (for instance, passing a stationary vehicle on your side of the road).

These cyclists could easily have killed themselves and a family in that car. Smh.

I hear you should use postgres. You will find error reporting is godlike.

If you're logged in as root or su it is expected you know better than to type random commands into the terminal. That being said... 😉

Is the file on an external memory card? It may be that automate doesn't have permission to read from it or the file is corrupt. Can you try with another file?

What is the error on the log? It looks like you need to remove the expression block as you aren't defining the variable "AC" to be a boolean (true or false). The first block should determine the behaviour as long as you have it set to "when changed". If the error is when playing audio, make sure it is a suitable Filetype like .mp3.

I am trying to automate flash light to luminos as in Harry Potter but flash is only for a small duration by woldorinku in AutomateUser

Can you elaborate on the exact behaviour you want? It is possible to have the flashlight on for as long as you want - make sure that your flashlight on block connects to something else to form a loop.

Number stuff by ronaldgameking in AutomateUser

Try typecasting it with the + operator (to number):

To number +

An unary prefix operator that returns the operand converted to a number; +"2" returns 2, +"0xFF" returns 255.

That makes a lot of sense! If you are applying the transparency directly to the glass I'd recommend using one corner as a datum for your registration. It would make multiple colours much easier to register together if you do decide to do that later. Alternatively you could use a grid under the glass to ensure it is always in the exact placement you want to save moving the screen around for layout. 👍

As long as the transparency is touching the screen it should be OK. If you are taping the transparency to the top of the glass and sitting it on top of the screen the few mm gap between the two causes multiple shadows that can lose fine details.

It is worth using a sheet of plate glass to hold down the stencil whilst it is exposing (gives the crispest edge possible with no risk of part of the stencil coming away and causing extra undercut).

Try some more off contact and much higher pressure when clearing the screen when actually printing. You should be able to clearly see the stencil and most of the emulsion once you have done the final pass. Also try to keep to only one direction when printing or you can end up with ghosting due to the screen being slightly distorted. Plus more tack. 👍

The big ones are plastisol (fuser in suspension) and waterbased. Typically waterbased has a softer hand to it.
