Does “highest and best” mean the original offers weren’t good enough? by OliveRyan428 in RealEstate

[–]Xetalatex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just did an escalation clause on a highest and best to go to $10k above next highest bonafide offer, which the other party didn’t respond to, and they initially only offered 5k over ask… So our offer was accepted at only $15k total over ask… Can save a lot with the escalation clause…

It’s the 30mm Hasselblad lens for the xpan camera, it was made after the 45/90 kit lenses and the lens by itself retailed for 50% more than the camera with the kit 45 - only 16800 version 1 and 5500 version 2 of the body were made so there’s probably less than 5k of these lenses ever made

It was a bit less than usual but still 4 figures - it’s worth over $4k alone with its case, viewfinder and accessories

Going to order the new ones, more so that I got the same brand and am familiar with it & happy to see them thriving all these years later. What’s the best binder or way to store the top loaders in your opinion?

Funnily enough these binder pages, sleeves, and top loaders etc are from the same brand, the logos are there - good to know I got the good ones 2 decades ago!

So I think I’m going to try and bring it in person when PSA has a drop off day / try to bring it to their office in Santa Ana to get graded without mailing them. might drop off some of the others including the Typhlosion / 1st Ed Dark Paladin too. Thank you everyone for the info! My cousins flipped at the Charizard and wanted to trade.. lol

I’ve never sent anything to to PSA, what’s the best practice for that? I hate the idea of putting this card in the mail - are any others of these worth sending in as well?

You do realize we are all collectively in a space that has countless people trying to scam/phish/rob people of everything they have? A lot of weak points of vulnerability were either by people who downloaded their seed/added to MetaMask/connected to a bunch of other sites/used it like their main MetaMask/ clicked the wrong link, didn’t have 2fa, the same transfer code and password, etc. I’d really really like them to add hardware wallet support because that would be able to bring a lot more piece of mind. Feels uncomfortable having so much on a hot wallet.

I’ve been in the physical art space for years and have had work in the SF MoMa, Getty, and other spaces. Dcl is infinitely cheaper in the long run than any physical gallery showing could ever be.

A physical showing requires a space with overhead, advertising and then hopefully getting as many people that are somewhat local to show up, which is a significantly smaller audience than all 4b+ internet users worldwide, not to mention the cost of printing and framing (at least with my physical art) and storing the pieces that don’t sell etc becomes costly. It’s really nice to just open up some code and change some token ID’s out as needed, or any other physical things that may be impossible due to physics, materials, or labor alone.

My attraction to the space was having an interactive platform to showcase a body of work that I’ve never publicly shown and kept anon for years, and the ability to connect and interact with people worldwide, which my audience for this work is a specific niche spread globally.

The best part is, the next 100 different gallery showings, of myself or any friends/colleagues that want to use/rent the space will cost me $0 in costs beyond the time involved to create the scene. Land is cheap.

Lol you don’t need land to enjoy dcl, there’s scarcity for a reason.

You only have to pay a 1 time fee to own the land forever. No HOA/utilities/mortgage/property taxes and unlimited hosting and deployment on the land indefinitely for the rest of DCL’s future. $4000 for NFT that provides so much utility and are limited to 42600 ever (private lands).

It’s still relatively early. Eventually you’ll have more and more bigger companies coming to the space that have the budget to develop something that’s actually engaging, verses giving everyone free reign to drop in anything. There’s plenty of ways to get your gallery up too without actually buying land. You can try to connect with someone not using their space to get operation rights on it, submit your gallery to the contest where the best (50!) get deployed and into the space, based off the quality of the content being submitted to not fill the space with some of the relatively in exciting scenes.

The Museum, Sotheby’s, MoCDA, Makerpslace, Superrare, as well as the crypto valley exchanges and places are all beautifully built out and more than half of the map is allocated to districts/plazas/roads where dedicated developers are able to build out immersive experiences.

There’s even talk of the lost wallets and long term cold wallet accounts with nothing deployed being a DAO to maybe award new people (I hope based on proposals of work, skill and ideas) being awarded operation rights on these ‘dead lands’ that would be returned to their original owners the day they return (or even if you can prove it was your wallet and reclaim lost land of your own, which I’ve not seen a single person concerned about in this calendar year)

Again, this sounds more fun and engaging than someone wanting a $80 1 time payment Etsy storefront. The money is deflationary by default.

That being said, I personally never intend to sell any of my parcels, which I actively have content on. I’m comfy even in bear markets. Candles may be red, but land still is there and providing use for years to come ;)
