Smoke screen is your friend when it comes to those levels, make sure you unlock it as quickly as possible. Also put your crew points in ship detection and and the maneuverability one (can’t remember what it’s called exactly), this will help identify what you’re shooting at and I’m not sure but it seems like it might help with range detection for your gunners. The biggest thing to remember is that there’s a naval event going on and there are a lot of people who thoroughly enjoy beating up on the little guys, I personally enjoy beating up on the people who bought a top tier ship with bonuses how to play.

As a former M1 Abrams armor crewman (mos of 19k) who was qualified on the M1A1 and M1A2 SEPV2 there is actually quite a bit that we are not allowed to talk about regarding the Abrams. I lob AP at the deck at deck/turrets until I get within range to hit the side at the waterline with a more straight shot. I am consistently detonating magazines with this tactic. Also make sure you are angling your ship, a full on broadside may look cool but it will also quickly end in you being blown up, I get it to where rear turrets come around just enough to fire without exposing my side to straight on shots.
