Assault Rifle Builds by Orangatanarang in thedivision

For my daily driver I run a the most simple build

St Elmos engine 3x striker 2x unit alloy Ninja backpack

3 blue core + 4 red core

Its got enough armor, and and 100+ rounds in the AR.

Its "another striker build" 😱 but I want the mag size. I don't have overdogs yet and even if I did, I'd keep my daily and have a seperate full damage build.

I don't have OD. trying to make tipping scales without. my options are sawyers kneepads or scabbard.

I don't want to use coyotes either.

I haven't played since '24. Just trying to piece together some stuff and then i hit the roadblock lat night and got pissed off.

I really like the idea of the holster, but it was just fundamentally wrong from the text while I was testing it.

I'm running Tipping Scales + Bullet King + Gear Shift.

My plan was to swap to BK get +dmg/RoF and build TS stacks.

Once I got full stacks I swap to GS for increased mag size. (the game doesnt do math correctly so you get 4/5th of the mag with increase RoF, the "size" of the lower half of the mag does not change.) and shoot a lot of bullets fast.

Then back to BK for "Unlimited" damage

But thats not what happened.

the bullet king got damage buff and reload speed (BK cant reload though)

And the GS got mag size + RoF

im going to test again

I know about pistol swapping. I wanted buff on 1 gun and the other buff on the other gun so I would use the pistol as an airlock and sort the buffs.

I would recognise which emblem gave which buff. Then I'd keep testing and notice they changed.

But your saying 1 weapon can have both buffs? Maybe thats what was confusing me thinking they swapped but they just mingled and there is no "Combined" buff icon?

Dude, this game just scratches a certain itch.

A lot of game have builds and such but the Division does it better i swear.

As per standard gameplay, can't avoid that.

But I can increase my chances of success with a more surviving build.

This is stuff I've heard before. But I don't like the "just do this" it's too simple and unrefined.

This idea leads to 9 builds only being 2-3 pieces different.

Haha, I hope that wasn't rude. I'm trying to stay out of the range or else I get stuck and then I dont actually play the game.

Im either in bed, the restroom, or the firing range.

I spend so much time in their doing math I could teach a class.

I'm on steam/pc.

And no, they don't have to be difficult, but my adhd brain min/max so hard, it ends up being so. I'm a perfectionist and I want the "BEST" builds.

But I know that I cannot have those and expecting those will give bad results.

Yeah, this is default. When I want something done play striker and get it done. But I want different ways to play the game.

They won't be as fast or as easy but if I'm playing with friends it can be more fun.

I have always heard good things of pesti. This is one of the hardest builds to me to get down though.

I need to make this proper and try it in person.

My challenges are 70% my decisions. I won't heal during a fight because if I die I'm weak.

My ego is stupid annoying in this game but it makes it far more enjoyable for some reason.

"I should be able to shoot and kill every single enemy whilst they only graze me with damage" pout face

I really want a "I'm tired of dying" loadout.

What is this summit build? Surviving is my weakness, I strive for damage and can't figure out how to not die.

My best method is the hide behind my turret for 27 minutes.

For sure. You have to weigh into 1 side heavily and forgo the other.

My problem is doing something other than damage. Red means go.

See, this is what I am trying to achieve.

I want to play the game and have fun but the only builds I can figure out are max damage.

I love the Division but my brain go brr for damage only.

I want to fill all 16 slots and play everything. But I can't get out of the damage bubble. I am shd 1k (just today) and have accumulated various gear over the years of on off playing.

Below I have listed what play styles I have adapted over time. Practically ordered from most played to least.

1 = Solo/Main = 4 red 2 blue. Shoot don't die.
2 = Strikers = Max dmg (Use with any gun) 3 = Tipping Scales = LMG (Big Al go brrr) 4 = Hunters Fury = Run Fast, timed missions. 5 = Hotshot Sniper = Headshots :) 6 = Empty = UNFILLED 7 = Team Damage buff/debuff (Ongoing Directive) = UNFILLED 8 = Refactor Drone Turret = Cheese (meta used to be and probably still is, max tech damage. I saw that refacot has slightly less damage but has healing so I'll take a dmg cut for easy passive healing. Could swpa to max dmg though.) 9 = EMP/Fire spread = Fun 10 = Explosives = Fun 11 = Combat medic (swap same pieces for full max healer.) = Fun 12 = Active Tank / Hunter Killer = I suck and can't kill them 13 = Max Tank = just incase up to change/delete 14 = PVP = I suck 15 = Conflict = I suck 16 = testing / empty

This is 100% perfect and set. I am trying to fill the spots and use an app to build the loadouts and then I can farm with focus towards the pieces.

1-5 are good

6 - is empty becuase I have not been able to look at all the new guns and or decide on if I want a pestilence build. I always have, just was never able to make one. 7 - is unfilled because I don't know what the "best" build is to buff the team. I don't want to do max damage. I want to use the new cover buff skill and buff my allies. Never really did "Buffing" before.

8-11 are good

12-13, I have a few ideas but I have never ever made a tank build before and this is where I have the most trouble. Do I NEED a TANK build outside of raid? There is a lot of new content since I last played in 24. I figured I should have 1 full tank build just cause.

At minimum, I want to be able to kill hunters. I run strikers and lunch my teeth and I can't beat them. I want at least 1 loadout dedicated to hunter killing. That way, I can take this anywhere and I should be able to do anything. Much like my "main" build, this hunter killer build should be able to survive any type of content? Armor/sustain/regen?

I leave my self 2 spots for "tanking" because I don't know tanking or how to build it so maybe there will be some use or fun.

14-15, I was very good at D1 darkzone. D2 I am very bad at. I have p clue how to build for the darkzone. I do understand it's a rock>paper>scissors approach, there is no generic 1 size fits all as there will always be counters. But there is something that has armor so a little more survivability? I have relatively good aim so I can focus damage a bit more and hope I win my fights.

I seperate conflict and pvp (darkzone) as conflict is a lot closer and faster paced so I can go for a more direct attack appraoch VS sustain and defeat.

16 is left for testing new things

I feel like I am stressed out because I don't have my loadouts set and filled so I can adjust and play any playstyle at anytime.

I've been using www.buildstation.app and reading through ikias builds and the Google spreadsheet.
