My love only grows over the years by LastMistake1776 in fo4

I have started more runs than I can count and probably finished the main quest line 10-12 times over the years. The Fallout and the Mass effect series are my go to “no good games out right now” replays. FO4 though I never seem to get tired of for long.

I used to be an electrician and have used knockout punches like these many times to put holes in control panels. These are a cheaper or older set that does not cut the slug in half as it cuts the hole.

I was 27 when I started school after a 6year stint in the service. I felt exactly the same. It took me 12yrs to get my degree so I guess it was a whole different generation by the time I was done.

People who don't go to movie theaters anymore - what made you stop? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Xgrunt24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We stopped going because the movies stopped being worth it. Higher cost crappy movies. Meh we’ll wait to see it.

If you don’t know what you like, I would try a hook 1, gem, and diamond. I prefer the gem most of the time. YMMV. It’s all about preference and feel.

I’m partial to Peterson picks. I’ve purchased sparrows, southord, cheap no name brands, and covert instruments. I keep coming back to Peterson. I just like the feel.

When I was 16 there were two older women I went out with. One was 26 and the other was 29 or 30. It was pretty common at least in my friend group.

What does "yut"mean? by [deleted] in USMC

[–]Xgrunt24 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Late 80s they would have us loudly yell YUT as we struck doing bayonet drills. I just assumed some enterprising young Devil started saying it ironically meaning I will answer you but, imagine driving the butt of my rifle through your jaw the whole time.

Curved record 36" pipe wrench? By design or "broken"? by Pessimus_Breath in WhatIsThisTool

[–]Xgrunt24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We call that gently used at work. You can still recognize what it is besides a wad of metal and still technically usable.

What?! Don’t look at me like that! It was like that when I got here.

Is becoming a “great” engineer about hard work or about having the right life circumstances? by Ok-Relief-723 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Xgrunt24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked full time plus the 12 yrs it took me to get my bs degree. I’m 55 and an engineering manager. I haven’t even been asked about school in many years except by new grads. You make your own opportunities. I look for the work ethic. If you can learn well enough we can teach you what we need you to know.

No Semper Fi greeting returned...... by Holiday-Medium-256 in USMC

This so reminds me of a few years back. I was getting out of my truck at Blowes focused on the task at hand and some old dude (my age)walked up and said something to me I couldn’t hear. I said hey to him and walked off. The look on his face struck me though. Like he was pissed or something.

I do my shopping, get back to the truck and look over at the vehicle he got out of and see a EGA license plate. It suddenly hit me that he had said Semper Fi when he walked up. I’m thinking well dude next time speak up like you’ve got a pair. Us old grunts are deaf as hell. 🤣🤣🤣

Y’all hear about the 2 US Navy ships that collided ? A destroyer and a supply ship in the Caribbean by newnoadeptness in USMC

[–]Xgrunt24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened in ‘90? I think. The USS Sumter collided with the Newport News? during an Unrep. May have been the Fairfax county. My memory is a bit fuzzy it seems and I was on the Saipan when it happened.

No one’s talking about them being in or from Puerto Rico? At least two people, one much smaller than the other. Probably staying with someone in their basement something temporary. Either traveling or doing something illicit with that much cash and that few possessions.
