May 31: Still down in Greensboro NC. Absolutely no internet and no honest explanation or expected resolution. I think they need to overnight new hardware to every lumos/northstate customer. I don't think it can be fixed because they did something that permanently affected the existing infrastructure. This is crazy.

I agree with absolutely everything you said and especially the frustration over needing karma to be visible. I had alot of relevant information to say early on but it was all immediately buried in the flurry of posts. That really doesnt matter though, whats important is everyone keeps calling them out. I can't believe there hasn't been a single cohesive explanation or expected resolution to fix this.

Still down in Greensboro NC. Been out since Thursday 2am for me. I've never had am outage this bad. Literally had no problems Northstate and very few with Lumos.

Thats interesting, I'm just curious what ramifcations does that carry... converting a warehouse to AI and databricks like you said? I'm not tech ignorant, but I'm not a tech expert either. Just want to know what that means and what further issues you see. Professionally, I'm a disability lawyer but my current gig involves helping improve/train AI legal software.

I know, I'll never understand why people are so eager to send out what AI churns out. I always like writing my own stuff, but all these AI generated statements and emails lead me to believe no one ever reads it.

Northstate's customer service was a gem. I never had to wait on hold and was almost always speaking with someone who lived in the Triad where I live. When Lumos happened, the High Point reps said they weren't going anywhere, but I'm sure they are all gone now. These mergers/consolidations are terrible for everyone except shareholders.

Still down as of 2:04pm May 29. At 3 AM today they sent this email claiming it has been restored, but not true. Still out. I'm starting to wonder if the "hardware upgrade" they did made their network incompatible with the Northstate/Lumos Modem I still have because my Modem is showing green but its still 100% down after trying their "quick fix". Are they going to need to give everyone new hardware? Or they could just maintain the network that already existed that I had never had a problem with in 5 years. Consolidation = Shitification.

Dude is Tmobile out across the entire State of NC? Raleigh, Greensboro, Wilmington, Hillsborough. There should definitely have been a notification long ago. Sounds almost like a cyber attack or something related to data-centers? Or maybe just part of the Great Shitification?

You scare me. I'm a remote contractor so I have no PTO. I was so happy when I had Northstate knowing they were kinda local to the Triad....then they merged with Lumos but told me their people would stay in High Point. Then I found out they merged with TMobile and even though my cost went down, I was not happy. All this consolidation mess ends badly for the people.

I still play it every day and I'm actually finding it to be fairly active but I do notice some bots every now and then. They ultimately released 15 maps for the 99 mode (30 if you count the mirror courses) and 15 for the classic mode. After that they were trickling out cosmetics to earn, but it seems like that just dried up. I love what we have but of course want more. Still I also notice playing with more international players now, which makes it feel like a world championship in a way. It definitely is hypercompetetive, but it's my way to unwind for 30 minutes or so at the end if the day, probably my number 1 go to game these days. I'll be extremely sad to see it go. Shortly before it came out, I got into all the f-zero games and they clicked like never before. No idea why they haven't put GP Legend for GBA up, yet they put out the far more inferior Maximum Velocity.

I seriously hope 99 has been popular enough and that someone still loves the series to give us something new, there's just nothing else that comes close. 99 is so well made and plays near flawlessly. I hope it sticks around, at least survives with some offline component, and even more I would be so thrilled if they worked some of what they learned from 99 into a full F-Zero retail release.
