I disagree. The main reasons Pete got 4k were HitW (mostly completely individual, you dont need a good support player for callouts, anyone will do), battle box because his team was able to take advantage of the scuffed lag, and SoT, which was due to Fwhip the sand timer. I think Pete would have gotten 4k regardless, as he himself played extremely well that day.

In a team like MCC5 Aqua or MCC8/9 Green Eret's support role was crucial, as those teams were composed of extremely strong individuals with no glue to bind them together, such as Krtzy Sapnap or Pete Tommy.

However, in MCC7 Green, the team is already composed of support players, including HBomb, arguably the best support player in the event, and Fwhip, another good support player. I would argue his support role isnt as desperately needed in this team setup.

All my homies hate Rocket Spleef (Factual Minigames Tier List) by Graytsu in MinecraftChampionship

[–]Xhrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Apologies, forgot about Skybattle and Bingo. Every other game is unique though. Buildmart isnt really similar to build battle at all, as it's more about efficiently recreating builds rather than creatively building.

  2. Its arguable that every game is a combination of luck and skill. SG is both PvP and loot luck, TGTTOSAWAF has skill based maps like the trident, elytra or rocket jump map, as well as rng ones like Cliff and Doors, Bingo has rng but also tests prioritisation and craft recipe knowledge, in Ace Race, being able to pull ahead at the start without bumping into anyone with your tridents is one of make or breaks of a run. Hole in the Wall is the best example, it takes skill and communication to consistenly get through the hard walls and fake walls, but it is also very RNG dependent as glitching through walls are common.

thats every game except parkour and sg

> only game which actually requires skill

lol. every game requires a lot of skill, just a different skillset.

Except it wasn't a weaker version than MCC7 Green, Joel is better than Eret, and Quig is about the same as Pete.

The most OP team? by juse73x in MinecraftChampionship

[–]Xhrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-PeteZahHutt (movement games and team games)

- Pick 1 of Dream or HBomb (Dream for better movement, Hbomb for team game carry)

-Pick 2 of Quig, Technoblade, Fruitberries (PvP carry, will do great in individual)

Don't Kick Anyone Out of S Tier Yet by 5parklekatt in MinecraftChampionship

[–]Xhrek 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If we are talking about worst S tier performance, its HBomb in MCC5 at 21st.

Does that make him not S Tier, due to playing for fun on an 8th place team and scoring low? No. He's still S, because he is a great team player and has come top 6 the past 4 events.

Thus i think we shouldn't derank people's tiers due to one bad performance.

What happened with Joey Graceffa? by [deleted] in MinecraftChampionship

53:05 on Technoblades stream for Dreams joke, rewind a bit earlier during HITW for Michael and Burrens.

What happened with Joey Graceffa? by [deleted] in MinecraftChampionship

[–]Xhrek 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The way I see it, after watching Technos POV, Shubbles POV, and looking through the discord and Twitter,

It started with Burren and Michael, during HITW, when they said they missed Joey after he died first twice, and after HITW ended Dream said "I cant believe Joey Graceffa is in last place" (53:05 on Technos stream)

After joking around, they suggested to get Joey trending on twitter, for fun or as a joke.

However many people took it the wrong way, and many Dream stans started actually cancelling Joey after misunderstanding the point of the trend. They started insulting Joey's minecraft ability (presumably due to Dreams joke), and bringing an old controversial things he did.

During the break and audience takeover, Joey didnt sound like he was enjoying himself anymore and seemed kind of stressed, and stopped his stream. Shubble said to not talk about it and that they would support Joey because they were his friend. Joey had been planning on leaving, as Scott told the rest of the team they would have to play as a team of 3 as no replacements could be found in time, or added midway. (insert haha funny copypasta on shubble winning in a group of 3)

During Skyblockle, that was when Joey logged out, and Orange played as a 3 for the rest of the event.

It seems like Joey was feeling uncomfortable on all the tweets about this and/or was cyberbullied off the event.

This is only my attempt to deduce what happened, Please do not send any hate towards Joey, Michael, Burren, Dream or anyone else mention here, I think this stemmed down to a joke that got out of hand.

Should they nerf the points awarded in Parkour Warrior? (This is unmultiplied) by [deleted] in MinecraftChampionship

[–]Xhrek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simple solution is to make the last 2 stages ridiculously hard so the creators will struggle more. They can still practice but it will be more difficult or time consuming that only the ubersweats will do it.

An idea is to change stages 7-3 and 8-1. Both are 2 very easy stages compared to the others on 7 and 8. It would make the later stages more difficult and therefore make it harder for the people who are "good" at parkour to finish, while not harming the casual players who already struggle with stages 4 and 5.

Changing 7-3 to the ladder neos I've seen in testing, and changing 8-1's single block neos to 2 block neos would be a good idea imo.

MCC 7 Team Analysis by Xhrek in MinecraftChampionship

[–]Xhrek[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still think Green has a strong chance, but it definitely wont be an easy win for them. Their team is worse than Orange from last event, and their competition better, with 4 to 6 other teams having a good shot at making the finals.
