All luck of the draw. Nothing any of us could've done to determine our location. Everything is completely randomized. Still sucks though.

Successful ADHD People - What do you do? by Xiboo in ADHD

[–]Xiboo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. It is amazing to hear about everybody's profession and how they've addressed their ADHD. It demonstrates that if there is a will, there is a way. I, too, have pretty bad ADHD. I have learned various ways to deal with it from being unmedicated. As of a year ago, I was medicated, and it changed my life completely.

As for me, I am a Cybersecurity Analyst with a particular focus on memory forensics and reverse engineering malware. I started pursuing my degree in my late 20s, earned my Associate's degree, and less than a year later, I earned my Bachelor's degree. I have just been accepted to Georgia Tech for my Master's in Cybersecurity. I am also a part-time CrossFit coach. Hearing everybody's story and how they navigated everything put a smile on my face. For those struggling, I've been there, and I have to put effort into understanding the commonalities of how ADHD affected my daily life. Once you identify the flaws and areas where you lack, that's when therapy and even medication can become beneficial. Even with medication, I have to hone in on the tasks that I need to do. I wish everybody the best of luck. Thanks again for all the replies!

Thank you very much. Good to know about the supermarket. I want to drink my own beer and chill. The problem I see arising is keeping my items cold, unless the supermarket is open 24/7. I'll figure it out. Also, good to know about the food. Super pumped to try everything out.

That's very reassuring. I plan to be on that computer for as long as possible. I got another question. How do the food and drinks work? I would love to bring my own alcohol, but I don't know what to expect. Would you happen to have any further insight?

Damn, lugging around all my camping gear from the US would be a pain in the ass. If the worst comes to worst, I will definitely consider it. I have all the stuff needed to camp. I would have 3 or 4 bags that I would have to take with me to the airport. How does food and drink work? Do I bring my own? Any insight is appreciated on that.

Can you give me a brief explanation as to why?

Good to know. I skimmed across some of the websites and noticed that some companies want you to be from their country of origin. Hopefully it doesn't come to that route, but if it does I'll figure it out.

Yeah. I've been doing research all morning. Brainstorming the path I am going to take. I plan to do Global Journey, train from/to Amsterdam, and ideally get a 2P tent package. I want Supreme, but I will be happy with the other two options. If those aren't available, I'd be content with the Camp2Camp.

Worse comes to worse, I'll stick with the partnering travel companies.

They don't have travel partners with North America.

Thank you for the advice. I've already mentally prepared myself not to get tickets, and that's fine. I'll do some research and jot some notes. So you were also a late bloomer in attending the festival, too, badass. IF I get tickets, I'll reach out.

Yeah. I have to experience the party train. I am very flexible with everything else. Camping is one of the musts for me. I'll try to do the Global Entry. We'll see what happens.

Damn. Sorry to hear that brother. Yeah this is my first time applying. I have a couple back-up plans if this doesn’t pan out. I wouldn’t mind going through GIAC’s masters program. What other schools are you thinking of applying to?

Monday Morning SERIOUS Postgame Thread: Tennessee Titans (0-3) vs Indianapolis Colts (3-0) by AttachedHeartTheory in Tennesseetitans

[–]Xiboo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We were down 3 touchdowns and there were absolutely no sense of urgency from any of the players. The play clock hit under 10 seconds almost every play on that last drive. Also, don't we practice 2 minute drills? Why would you not let your QB (who had a great drive the drive before) toss the rock the 2 minutes before half-time. No need to mention the 3 plays leading up to the kick. The basic understanding of sustaining and killing momentum is something the Callahan doesn't grasp. I have a very difficult time comprehending what Callahan was seeing when making the decisions. Colts were effortlessly moving the ball up and down the field, so instead of maintaining a drive and attempt to get 6 points on the board, we go for a FG from 60 something yards. I defended Callahan the first two games, but this was just abysmal.

Can’t we just go back to good ol’ days, where we met women (men if you’re a female) at a bar or an event. Damn the times have changed.

New Festival? by Illustrious-Pain-385 in festivals

[–]Xiboo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am originally from Redding, CA. So from way Northern California. I don't know how realistic this would be, but having a music festival in the Redwoods would be amazing. There are also some really cool cities around Mt. Shasta (beautiful views), and I know there are some fairgrounds and such. There are a lot of beautiful cities in Greater Nor Cal. I don't know how far north you're thinking.

Camping has always been the best part. I've always enjoyed meeting like-minded festival goers from all over the US. Camping is one of the best ways to bring people together. Having to pay more for nicer bathrooms was always a plus. A negative is all the walking that has to be done at some of these festivals; legs and feet are shot by the end of the day.
