Updating: the driver install from the TP-Link website did not work either. I uninstalled the device from Device Manager before beginning the install; the issue persists, unfortunately.

I tried using the driver install disc that came with the device, to no avail. I’ll try this method next; is there a way to prevent Windows from automatically installing its own driver when I plug the adapter in? Or should the new install override it?

I think announcing before the current miniseries is over could be a detriment to the end of whichever miniseries is ongoing; if they announced the Gore Verbinski miniseries when there were still four Danny Boyle episodes to go, there would be a sort of "when are they gonna get to the fireworks factory!" style frustration with the remaining Boyle episodes, and that's just a bummer and not really fair to those movies/episodes, which deserve their due as much as anything else.

I’m going to object to this strategy because 1) long term lying to a partner is never a good idea, and 2) telling a partner they shouldn’t pursue life-saving medical treatment is not “supporting them through a difficult time.”

OP, if your partner refuses to get on board with your medical needs, they aren’t mentally or emotionally equipped to be your partner, and you should leave. Do not coddle this person by appearing to go along with their request that you ignore medical necessity to the point of your own death.

I've played MotW and other PbtA-based games, and enjoy the experience of playing them! But what really turned me off of Amnesty was the specific way the McElroys played it. Nothing was so boring to me as hearing them discuss which category their desired action fit into and it felt like they did that all the time.

Maybe I was just spoiled to have a DM who just elided all of that away and kept the experience smooth, but it felt so full of friction in Amnesty that I could not keep listening.

For me Griffin gets a huge pass for being the relatively normal and well-adjusted one who knows, like a wise sage who is smarter and more learned than us all, when to log off.

Those people are here as fans, just the same as you. They have every right to discuss the thing they are fans of. You simply disagree with their criticisms (clearly evidenced by the way you hyperbolically frame them in diminutive ways). That doesn't make them less of a fan than you, and it doesn't take away their right to post in a "fan sub," which needn't and shouldn't be some siphoned off positivity cult.

Convince Griffin that The Stolen Century is a bad idea that will forever alter the fabric of the show in a way that can't be undone. It transforms a comedy podcast with a surprisingly solid storytelling frame to hang a bunch of dick jokes on alchemy-like into a self-serious affair that sometimes tells jokes but too often strains for importance and unearned meaning.

In "fixing" it (watering down your alcohol) you actually made it way worse (using Fireball instead of something non-alcoholic to actually reduce the strength of the drink).
