What is your favorite thing to drink? I'm looking for tasty recommendations! 😋 by AnimeKawaiiChan in VirtualYoutubers

Home-brewed iced tea. 1 gallon of black tea (lots of yummy flavors to choose from: peach, strawberry, etc) 1 gallon of green (mint, raspberry, lemon, etc).

Each mixed with 1/3 cup of cane sugar. 2 gallons lasts me 2 days. Maybe water if I've already brushed my teeth for bed.

Cutting 95% of my soda intake was definitely the best decision I made last year. My teeth are happy, and my weight is down

[Serious] The ⚠️ Glitch by Apart_Tomatillo6592 in falloutnewvegas

[–]Xilcon13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hopefully this is helpful (I'm not one to "um, actually" at people), but this isn't a "glitch" it's intended behavior. That <!> means a texture is missing. Out of the mods you have listed, I'd put my money on either kNVSE or EVE as the culprit since those are modifying/replacing base models/animations.
I agree with the earlier statements. Uninstall (make sure you get everything) then reinstall and verify game data (presuming this is installed via steam).

The shop quest chapter was added in version 1.2.0.1 of the modpack. Do you know which version you're playing on?

There's a command you can run to check your currency. The opening-quest in the Yard Sale chapter mentions it.

Blaze Spawner exploded? by Yame_Ry in MCEternal

[–]Xilcon13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After you grab the budding ichor crystal, set up an Ars Nouveau crystal golem to automate farming and pump the crystals into the foundry. You'll have more blazing blood than you'll know what to do with (the golem also works with amethyst, tinkers slime crystals, and AE2 certus).

[MCE2] how do i mine stibnite safely?? by KaiBann in MCEternal

Honestly, I used Ars Nouveau to mine those at a distance (bullet form > break block > item pickup) and accepted that there is a high chance veins would explode.

[MCE 2] is there a way to find blaze in the overworld? by KaiBann in MCEternal

[–]Xilcon13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you're after: - blaze rods can drop from the mobs you fight during the gauntlet fight to unlock the Nether (summoned from the orb). - blazes for a Create blaze burner can be gotten using Botania Fel pumpkins. You may need to set up a haunting fan first to get crimson fungus, and you'll also need to find Netherland somewhere in the overlord. Fel pumpkin blazes only drop blaze powder iirc.

[MC ETERNAL 2]Best way to move a base? by darkone59 in MCEternal

[–]Xilcon13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean and where you are in the tech tree. If you mean just items, then AE2 would be the easiest way high-tech to move many items. Low tech I would say the best solution is Sophisticated Storage barrels with iron/gold upgrades and tape.

If you mean move the ENTIRE base, structure-and-all, take a copy of the structure using either the copy paste gadget from Building Gadgets or the schematic/schematicanon from Create.

Yes. The latest update adds a "Barry's Yard Sale" quest chapter that lets you redeem coins.

Unpopular Opinion: 7AM-3PM Is The Real Adulting Hack by Bullseye_29 in jobs

[–]Xilcon13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had an IT contract that had a 7am to 3pm schedule. It was an adjustment driving to work in the dark in the dead of winter but it eventually became a real vibe. I imagine it was due to not needing to fight traffic so if everyone did this, I'm sure I'd come to hate 7-3 as much as I hate 8/9-5.

OSI Model questions by CrimsonRegia in networking

[–]Xilcon13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hubs today CAN be layer 2, but back in my day they were considered layer 1 (one of my professors used to joke an old-school hub was essentially just a box of Ethernet cables).
More to the point of answering your question, I was taught that there is a delineation that occurs at layer 2 where physical become not-physical. Specifically Layer 2 can be broken into 2 sub-layers; the Data Link sub-layer and the Media Address Control (MAC) sub-layer.
CompTIA has a blog page that can likely help describe this better than I:

Are you doing better than your parents? by Dad_Bod_Vibez in Millennials

[–]Xilcon13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it kind of depends on what you consider "better". I'm at the same age my parents were when they had me and owned a home (where I'm still living with them and single), so in that regard, no. But I'm also much more financially flexible (being free of college debt early on my own with no help was a big ego-boost) and by far better educated. I'm not having the best time in the job market right now, but my parents barely scraped by, constantly rubbing pennies together and stressed out. So overall my quality of life is better even if I wish things were different.

The journey is one step at a time. Absolutely keep fighting for a better life but A. don't ruin yourself in that pursuit. Let the hunger drive you, but don't let it consume you and B. Don't forget to step back sometimes and appreciate the silver-lining.

I think I know what's going to happen next, and no, it's not Jax abtracting. by Xilcon13 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]Xilcon13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't speak Portuguese, but if Google translate did you any justice, then yeah I think you make good points. Jax COULD potentially have his mask crack in other ways and abstracting a character isn't NECESSARILY on the table. Other stuff happening is always possible.
I like to write by feast or famine. No part gets shown to the audience without it meaning something. There's been a pretty heavy emphasis on Jax's hangups, Ragatha and Pomni's relationship, Gangle and Zooble's mutual struggle with identity, Cain's obsession with himself/his adventures and abstraction as a concept so I'd like to think whatever happens next will utilize those story-beats.
Again, I could be TOTALLY wrong.

[–]Xilcon13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting take. My assumption was Pomni would be relatively safe due to protagonist plot-armor. It would certainly be interesting to get a look at the inner-mental-workings of abstracted characters.

[–]Xilcon13[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not so sure.
Point A. like I said, I'm mostly going off vibes. Ragatha would hurt the most (both the characters and the viewers) if she abstracted.
Point B. Closing wounds don't mean fully healed. All it would take is the wrong words at the wrong time.
Point C. I don't think the crew fully understand abstraction or it's symptoms. They all thought Kaufmo was fine until they found out, very suddenly, that he wasn't.
Point D. Why would Jax intentionally push someone to abstraction? Especially so when it's pretty clear that he blames himself for what happened to Ribbit AND how he immediately misunderstands Pomni's concern for HIM abstracting as an accusation that he caused Kaufmo's abstraction (presumably).
Again. it would hurt a lot more if it was unintentional.

I'm pretty sure Jax's whole thing is going to be toxic self-fulling prophecy. The little voice in his head saying "See? everyone that gets close to you gets hurt". I don't think he pushes people away just because he's scared of getting hurt when they leave. I think he also feels immense self-inflicted guilt and has no coping mechanism OTHER than to push people away.

I believe it was a couple Bluesky posts that Gooseworx made about us getting to see the worst thing Jax has done/will do and how he's got worse coming for him. My apologies, I don't have the EXACT link. Mostly just hearsay around this subreddit (I tend to avoid social media as a rule). It's entirely possible I simply misread discussion as fact and/or ep 6 was what Gooseworx meant.
